- This is a step by step guide on installing TWRP and Pixel Experience in Redmi Note 10 Pro.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Having an external storage (sd card) is really important. TWRP 3.6.1 has some issues with decrypting the internal storage (Android 12 Custom ROMs) and sometimes your PC might be able to detect the internal storage but the TWRP can not. So make sure you have an sd card inserted in your device before you start the flashing process. You can transfer all the files (ROM and the recovery) to your sd card and flash the files normally.
Please download the latest version of TWRP recovery which is twrp 3.6.1_11-0 from the given link below.

I just want to ask that after installing pixel experience on redmi note 10 pro, does always on display works on it with pixel os and after installing pixel experience are all camera modes working properly on gcam? Like slowmo , ultra wide etc
Hii.. always on display is working absolutely fine but you need to enable that in lock screen settings > ambient display.
And in my other video on performance review of pixel experience, I have given a link for GCam (trCamera) where everything is working fine. If you want to enable all lenses, you have to go to camera settings > auxiliary camera > enable first 4 lenses (not the 5th one).

Hello..
It depends on the version of the custom rom.
Some versions will have mi camera pre-installed but other versions do not. I would recommend you to check other custom roms like PixelOS that come with mi camera.
If the custom rom does not come with mi cam, you have to root your phone to install it and it's a long process..

Yeah. Banking apps should work fine with pixel experience. If any ROM passes sefetynet, banking apps work fine.

when installing in TWRP, there is no need to flash the firmware before flashing the ROM?
It does not depend on the recovery you're using. If the instructions on the official page say that you have to flash the firmware then you have to flash it.

Step 2 is about taking the phone to fastboot mode.. first you have to flash the recovery (128mb) and then the pixel experience rom (1.78gb)

Hey yes, you will receive through system updater. I'm using twrp recovery (I noticed that the latest PE replaces twrp with pixel experience recovery, you can update the ROM through PE recovery as well), after a new update comes, you can download it and it'll automatically update the ROM through twrp. I hope I understood you correctly and this is what you asked!

It shows fast charging when you connect the charger but it takes almost 2 hours to complete full charge (0 to 100%) which is more compared to the normal fast charging with MIUI.

I don't think redmi note 9 (codename: Merlin) is officially supported by twrp. You might need to use an unofficial recovery for your phone.
Didn't understood what you said about if we have it in internal storage... I mean if I wipe it then do i need to install it again and will it not wipe again with the same steps?
What I meant is that after you flash twrp recovery, you have to format the data which will erase the internal storage so if you have any files in your internal storage, all those files will be deleted.
Please check the video description as there have been some issues with twrp not able to detect the internal storage in some devices. I would suggest you use an sd card in your phone if you are planning to flash the rom 😊

Hii. I don't think there's any method which skips the waiting time (i am not aware of any such method). I have watched a lot of videos about that and also read lot of articles, but no method will skip the waiting time.

Yes you can wipe cache before and after flashing as well, that is an additional step but good one 😊

Not very sure about the Chinese version but I think you should be able to flash it .
Just check the device codename using any device info app like this one

Yes bro, you can install this twrp in Redmi Note 10 pro (from the link in the description). I have not made the video tutorial for Unlocking the bootloader but I have given one more link in the video description, it has some tips which might help you in Unlocking the bootloader 😊

Personal preference totally, yes i have heard that the devices with an unlocked bootloader won't be getting hyperos (not sure but)

After installing the image recovery on the phone and pressing on reboot, it doesn't give me an option to reboot to recovery, it will just reboot the device and turn it on. Doesn't go back to twrp recovery, only fast boot and I have to do everything again
Don't reboot..flash the rom directly after flashing recovery.

hello, i already have a pin before flashing twrp in cmd, then after boot no pin to enter, i just tap install and install twrp img from my sdcard. Then reboot to recovery nothing to enter the pin. Internal 0 MB, its not mounted, USB debugging is on. So why not working is there problem. the twrp is updated

Hi. I suppose you are using Android 11 build not android 12. If you want to flash the latest build (android 12), it is recommended to perform a clean flash to avoid any issues like Bluetooth crash etc. because some users have reported this issue. I suggest do a clean flash for PE latest build (android 12).

You have to use the external storage or flash the ROM through ADB sideload.

Go to orangefox menu, tap and start sideload, open command prompt window in your pc, type adb sideload and drag the rom file, and press enter, it should start sideloading.

No. You just need to download the update through system updater and it’ll automatically apply it through twrp.

Hi .. custom ROMs are as secure as the default ROMs (or may be more secure in some cases). No one is going to hack your phone if you use them properly. And banking apps work fine in custom ROMs without root (if you root your device, you might need to look for some additional steps to make banking apps work)

@@ASChib There are no specific do's and don'ts with custom ROMs, it's completely safe. Before installing any custom ROM, I would recommend using only the official links to download any custom rom or the recovery. And, since the bootloader is unlocked, you have to be careful about sharing your phone with anyone. Other than that, you should be absolutely good to go. I would also recommend not to root your device if you are not that good at it 🙂

Please check if all the drivers are installed in your pc. And yes it supports android 12 and MIUI 13. I did flash the rom with MIUI 13 (android 12).

You can also check by opening device manager in your pc and try updating the driver after you connect your phone to the pc. It should show all the drivers once you connect the phone .

This method will not work because you have to follow some extra steps.. please check the guide that's specific for redmi note 10. This video is for redmi note 10 pro..

Hiii.. I have not tried it myself but I don't think you would be able to flash derpfest with pixel experience recovery. The best option is twrp.

Derpfest (Android 12) is a great ROM. I tried it for like a day or two, it's really nice with some extra features like DerpSpace as well some additional features when compared to other android 12 ROMs like PE, PE plus or Arrow OS.

Hi bro..it has been a long time since I used pixel experience. But as far as I remember, everything was working just fine, everything you mentioned. If possible, you can give other custom ROMs a try. Go with Zephyrus os, it's a great custom ROM.

And you might need to take a look at USB drivers in your PC. If they are installed.
If possible, try to get one sdcard and it should show your storage in pc. Otherwise check with the drivers first and the twrp version.

Hey! I need help here, I just basically followed every steps you showed in this video but I got stuck in TWRP. Everytime I reboot into twrp recovery it always shows 0 mb in the storage and the UNABLE TO MOUNT STORAGE in the Log. I installed it just like you did. btw I'm using REDMI note 10 pro and also just got this bootloader unlocked. Hope you notice this THANKS!!
Hiii. I will list some tips here which I found after looking at some articles and I hope this works. I cannot try them myself since I did not face the issue in my device.
1. Check if you have used the latest TWRP version (i have given the link in the description)
2. I mentioned about removing screen lock before flashing twrp, did you try it? If this did not work, then, you can try setting up a pin (no pattern) as your screen lock and use the same pin on twrp once your device boots to twrp.
3. Check the USB drivers in your pc, you can get details from twrp page itself. Link > twrp.me/xiaomi/xiaomiredminote10pro.html
4. Try different USB ports in your PC
5. Reboot your device into TWRP.
Navigate to Wipe > Advance Wipe > Data and choose Repair or Change File System.
Press Repair File System to see if this fixes the issue.
whats the situation now?
You can't mount storage.. because TWRP doesn't support A12 decryption right now. So you should use micro sd card or Usb otg.

Phone will automatically boot to twrp and you can flash the twrp.img file as I mentioned in the video.
