You are not kidding. When I stream, I constantly chase after shiny squirrels. Jump into rabbit holes and come up with some of the most obscure refrences. This group is absolutely amazing in my opinion!
Besides starting off the song, Geoff also spends the majority of the song actually singing harmony (i.e., lyrics!) with the rest of the guys, not just making "bass notes" like he often does. And he did a couple of solos, not just a single one as also often happens. It was a nice departure for the group and Geoff, and I hope it starts a trend for VP! There were also several times where Geoff's bass line would be descending while the rest of the guys were singing a rising line - that really made for a nice contrast, and it made Geoff's bass line stand out even more!
I know, Geoff, Layne, and Ellie all work hard to come up with their arrangements. That being said, how cool would it be for them to put their names on a dart board for round one, and then parts for round two. Then go completely random for an arrangement. I think they could 1) pull it off, but 2) have way too much fun with it.
I am very old and don't know half of the music they've been producing recently. It doesn't matter, they are absolutely brilliant. I know you are famiiar with their work, but I don't know how long you've been listening to them. If you haven't already, check out their versions of Bridge Over Troubled Water and Can't Help Falling in Love.
I find music transcends time. I have been known to go from Beethoven to Metallica to the Beach Boys to some House Dance music. Just depends on the sound I want to listen to. I have not seen the two you suggested so I put those onto my to do list. Interestingly enough if I go to Karaoke I warm up with Can't Help Falling in Love.
This woke me up from sleep running through my brain in the mornng for a couple of weeks before it settled. Love the backgrounds which makes it easier to call this a space shanty.
Voiceplay will probably be releasing their new video Friday or so. Sequel to In The Hall of The Mountain King. But with Rachel Potter instead of Elizabeth Garozzo. It is absolutely amazing.
My favorite game theme that they have done is HALO that was done as a tribute to a friend who passed away. You have to watch till the very end 😢. I'll be 70 this week my son got me gaming in FPS games in 2000. Though I love MMORPGs now. A little slower paced.
I totally understand where you are coming from. I do play Fortnite, but I absolutely enjoy open world games such as Skyrim, Palworld, Satisfactory, Hydroneer, etc. I enjoy games because it is interactive, forces me to think, reason, and come up with strategies. Many do not realize the possibilities that come with games. The original music created or the fact that ever since the original Sims made more money in one year than Hollywood is a clear indicator what is possible.
Subscribed! VoicePlay is my favorite group & Geoff is my favorite singer. If you're looking for gaming based songs check out VP's Dragon Born Comes/Skyrim (my favorite), Halo, Vahalla Calling. Geoff has done a couple of Johnny Cash covers - Ghost Riders in the Sky & Folsom Prison Blues. They also recently put out a cover of Black Hole Sun which you'd probably enjoy if you like the "sounds". Without saying too much, you work with my hubby so I'm glad I ran across your reaction. He didn't tell me you were doing music reactions, esp. to VP/Geoff.
I have seen all three of those! Too bad I just started my reaction videos. Those all were top notch and would have been fun to react to. I also saw both Ghost Riders in the Sky and Folsom Prison Blues. Side note is it just me, or should he sell T-Shirts (maybe with the sleeves cut off) of the Ghost Riders in the Sky song logo... just sayin! Yeah, I missed working Ghostbusters at Universal Studios Florida with Geoff by literally a couple of months if my timeline memory serves correctly.
G1 I find is not bad as I can safely hit it with chest as well. Every time I think I have caught up to him, he raises the bar by dropping his voice by another 2 notes... LOL. He is quite an awesome artist and just continues to improve. I can't wait to see what he comes up with next. The same can be said for Ellie, Ceasar, and Layne. When you blend top quality ingredients, you are looking at a first rate music smoothie! LOL
I have and totally loved it. I have beaten Skyrim numerous times. I have some good memories playing Halo at Terminator 2 3D at Universal Studios FL between shows.
So amazing, glad to see they are able to use more resources from the support they receive from their fans. I wish they would go on tour. That would be wicked awesome!
Love your Voiceplay reactions. For a hilarious take on country, try Texas Funeral (From Dusk Till Dawn, ruclips.net/video/gcoJyvxlbCI/видео.html). Tho you might not want to do a reaction...
I appreciate your attention to this group. They are amazing and a never ending rabbit hole.😂❤

Geoff does some more "country" style songs on his solo channel and gives them a whole new sound. His work is always so original, as is VoicePlay's.
I totally agree. I remember him doing Take Me Home Country Roads and thought his interpretation was incredible.

A space shanty, that so fits. Great that will remain in my mind rent free for life! LOL

Oh?! Well then, I guess I will be capturing the reaction during either my Friday or Saturdays Stream. So glad you let me know.
@@ESClone27It is crazy good…and since Layne arranged it, just plain crazy as well!

He does sell shirts and mugs with the Ghost Riders logo he created. I have both 😅.
Geoff hits fifteen G1s in this.
All of them in chest.
Not a single subharmonic.

Have you seen Dragonborn Comes (Skyrim) and Halo by them? You seem to like gaming songs? 🌹🕊
I have and totally loved it. I have beaten Skyrim numerous times. I have some good memories playing Halo at Terminator 2 3D at Universal Studios FL between shows.
Filmed at Optiview 360, thus the incredible visuals around them.
And the visuals were by Geoff, not Eli. 😮

LOL, ok, I will just check it out... sounds quite amusing.
