- One of Power's biggest mysteries since the Power Universe started in 2014, is who is Breeze? The Breeze mystery still remains till this very day. After years of hearing about stories from Ghost, Kanan and Tommy about their former mentor to 3 seasons of Raising Kanan, we're still yet to meet this mystery character, or are we?
In this video I breakdown the rumors of whether Unique could actually be Breeze, I run through an in depth story breakdown of what we know about Breeze, the inconcicies and whether or not we'll see Breeze at all in Raising Kanan along with my general thoughts and theories with an argument for and against when it comes to Unique being Breeze.

In season 1, when unique is first introduced, older Kanan narrating says “that’s unique. Biggest drug dealer on the south side. Everybody wanna be him or be down with him.” This shows off the bat that unique is someone Kanan respected enough to wanna work with/be cool with. In season 3, when unique “died”, older Kanan narrating said “that’s when kings fall” referring to unique as a king. In the season 3 finale, the song playing at the end is called “down with the king(cool breeze mix) by run dmc. I feel like this means Kanan is about to be down with the “king” going forward. And let’s not forget the leaked image of unique coming out of Kanan apartment(which I feel like is a leaked pic for season 4). Let’s keep going lol. The season 3 finale episode is called made you look which is a reference to the nas song. In that song, one of the lyrics are “only describe us as soldiers, survivors”. I think it’s fair to call unique a survivor considering what he just went through. Another lyric is “stay laced with the best well dressed with finesse”. I’m sure we can all agree this can be used to describe unique👀. And lastly another lyric is “king of the town, yeah I been that”. Unique is the king they are referring to I feel like. He’s already been at the top considering that’s the version of unique we were introduced to. I think all this means unique is leaving his old persona behind resurfacing as breeze. In OG power, when Kanan escaped near death he came back with scars and introduced himself as slim to tariq. This could be the same thing here with unique. He’s back with scars and I could see him taking Kanan under his wing. The way breeze is described as being “not too smart” and having a routine is different from how we knew unique but I’m sure taking a beating like that can alter one’s personality/way of thinking. I feel like unique isn’t going to be able to remember much which results in him having a daily routine bc that’ll be all he knows. We’re def going to be seeing subtle hints of Ronnie in him. Lastly, season 2 ep 3, when unique had Julianna held up he told raq “my name don’t even got the same weight on these streets no more. Law 25 of the 48 laws of power is to “recreate yourself”. This whole season the theme was made you look😵💫they put Ronnie in front of us when the whole time it’s looking like Unique = Breeze!
Side note: Joey’s new interview with people kinda gives it away. He states he would like his character to connect with Kanan in season 4. As well as saying that the unique that we knew is dead. He says this new version of himself will be more hyperactive and irritatable, and rageful. Hence the “strong but not smart” description. Either way hopefully breeze is revealed next season and the plane pic wasn’t just a tease😂

It’s amazing to me that everybody lied to Tariq but the only person he was mad at was ghost. Never made sense to me which is why I never liked the ending of power, felt forced.
That’s because it kinda was forced due to the fact Omari Hardwick wanted more money for his role on the show the money wasn’t right for him so he walked away from the show so they “killed” his character off but also left the door open for his character to come back in the same sense

I found it strange how after Ghost killed Rolla, he felt guilty when he found out Kanan set him up and he hit the bottle real hard, the same way when Scrap was wrongfully killed by Raq and Lou hit the bottle real hard too. They both hallucinate and runs a club.

Here's my take on "Unique's return": We have to give the writer's the benefit of the doubt and assume they have enough awareness. Unique's character had become one of the most popular and well liked characters in the history of the Power Universe. If Unique is going to be a "new" character, then that character MUST either match or supersede the "old" Unique. In other words, the "new" Unique must be just as LEGENDARY and MEMORABLE as the "old" Unique! It would be absolutely pointless for them to go through all of this just to make the "new" Unique LESSER than the "old" Unique! It makes no sense. It would ONLY make sense if you transform him into Breeze because that is the only character that could match or supersede the "old" Unique! Unique's character was never mentioned in the Original Power series. Why bring Unique back just for him to become another unmentioned character? Logically, it only makes sense to bring him back as the most anticipated character in Power history! Episode 10 was named Made You Look because Sasha Penn intentionally teased Breeze for season 3 with his IG post and then gave you Ronnie as the Red Herring, only to kill Ronnie and then have the real Breeze standing over his body! MADE YOU LOOK! It's perfect and brilliant writing!

In an interview it was said that this would be a role that Joeybadass shouldn't pass up and that the ending of season 3 had to be rewritten, and season 4 had to be changed, so for now, I'm going with Unique is going to reinvent himself as Breeze. If not, what's the point of him coming back.

I think the one last chance ghost gave breeze was to not harm his father for going to the police but breeze still killed ghost pops which forced him and his hand to kill breeze…..

This is wrong. Kanan was ahead of Ghost in Highschool. He got them in the game. Kanan was grown when he started bothering James . Kanan lies a lot. Some of his story be off. Kanan did not tell that Dre had no choice to kill his friend. That he put him in the trunk and cut out his tongue.

I do like the idea of a spin-off with Young Ghost and Tommy. That way it can lead us into the old school Power. Its so many characters you can bring in from old Power. Breeze, Ghost dad, Tasha, Rolla, Angela, Julio,Kanan baby mama, birth of Shawn, why Ghost mom left, young Kate. Its a lot to tell and go with for years. Leave this as Kanan family story. I agree.

The only thing that causes me to pause is that south side (including Kanan and probably Ghost and Tommy) knew Unique, so in my mind they would just call him Unique. When Kanan came back from death he was only Slim to Tariq. I think breeze was a different person for sure.

Raising Kanan will have to go pass 6 seasons to start the Breeze era. Or another prequel spinoff like Movie Bot mentioned .
Possibly 7 just cause we gotta see a 13-14 year old version of ghost and a 16-17 year old version of him as well
And I don't see the series going much beyond a season 6 if it does at all. The original Power series ran for 6 seasons.
Most series of this magnitude in general don't go past 6 seasons.
So logically going into season 4, you have to figure the writers are going to begin to settle on establishing characters and setting the stage for what is to come later in OG Power, etc.

I been said that because currently they’re in 1992 and Dessert Storm is going on in current events and Jukebox hasn’t even left for basic training Kanan is 16 years old so currently Tommy & Ghost is still in elementary school… Breeze should be 5yrs older than Kanan and Kanan should be about 5 yrs older than them.. I personally don’t want to see time jump that far this fast….

You’re absolutely correct the war ended in February 1991;however, the US didn’t pull its troops out until 2011…The season may have ended in 93 time period but it most definitely had 1992 vehicles driven in it like LouLou’s Acura Legend and Marvin’s Lexus not sure what model Rover Raq was driving and the year written on the back of the Jersey’s Butta performed in were airbrushed with 92” on the back…I’m not here to debate what all went on 30 years ago…This is a fictional show with references of a particular time period…I know I’m not to far off considering I was alive and well during this frame remember those be all you be army commercials vividly
I think Breezes introduction wont be some for a beginning of a season but rather a season finale.
So if Nique is Breeze I think will be introduced he will be introduced AS Breeze at the end of season 4 or the actual Breeze will come at the end of season 4.

What you have to understand is how writers think. D-Wiz was a forgettable character at this point and his brother was only mentioned for storyline sake so D-Wiz's brother is NOT Breeze. Book it!

No one is paying attention to the age difference and ppl rushing Kanan's story. Unique's son is about 8 or Kanan 16 going on 17. Kanan is 5 yrs older that Ghost and Tommy. Agree what ever they do it needs to be sometime soon. The anticipation reached its peak and the only thing that can rival it is to show Ghost Tommy and Angie. To do another spinoff would require more back tracking to tell the story or recasting Kanan is getting older.

I love how they focusing on creating shows for every other character but not the most important one GHOST. We need ghosts origin story his origin story would show us a lot and tie loose ends.

Kanan already knows the game through Raq, Marvin, Jukebox, Scrap and Ronnie - Ghost & Tommy learned the game from Kanan as mentioned in the original Power series... Breeze was no more than an influential partner of Kanan and it would make sense if Breeze was older to an OG in the game.
I agree. Also a reason I don't believe D-Whiz's bro is Breeze because he looks like he's on age with Kanaan. Therefore, I believe Breeze"s character would have to fall somewhere in-between the ages of Raq and Unique's age. Breeze would have to be someone who could take Kanaan's hustle to the next level and definitely to a level that compares to or exceeds the level of his family. I think those things kinda disqualify Unique or D-Whiz bro from being Breeze. JMHO

Power Universe does draw parallel from Star Wars
Kanan is evil version of Obi Wan
Ghost is Anakin Skywalker who wanted to be Good but allowed a Bad circumstance to dictate his life
Tariq is Luke Skywalker because he is Ghost’s and some degree Kanan’s redemption from the dark side
Raina was Leila because she was Ghost’s innocence and goodness in the World
And Breeze is definitely Palpatine eventually the Emperor. Secretly plotting and putting the strings even beyond his death.

Whomever Breeze is, he had to be really close to Ghost. All throughout the POWER series, they made it seem like Breeze and Ghost were that close enough that he didn't see Ghost coming either! Tommy was probably just there but Ghost pulled the trigger.

NOBODY cares about D Wiz's brother anymore. He's a non factor and trust you me his character will never be introduced on "Kanan." D-Wiz's brother is nothing more than another Mahoney.

Neither character will be introduced. This is how the writers continuously throw some of you off the path with these distractions.

A lot of people think Unique ain’t Breeze ‘cause he was supposed to originally die, in my opinion that’s not a reason to assume he’s not him. Them saying Unique was supposed to die could in and of itself be a marketing ploy and they could’ve known all along. Look at how Joey played off knowing Unique was coming back. I’m not sold on yes or no, just some things to keep in mind.
Breeze is the most anticipated character in the Power Universe. Tariq will never know that Ghost and Tommy took out Breeze.

Dwiz brother isn’t Breeze
Even tho Wiz means “a whistling or whooshing sound made by something moving fast through the air.”
Its inconsistent because they had no idea a prequel was on the horizon. So now they have to pick a way it happened, and stick to it.
I don't know if Unique is Breeze or not. Honestly, don't care. What I do know is, Unique is going to be a savage, and nothing to play with.

Honestly I believe that D Wizz big brother is Breeze because there is no way they would just mention someone Just not to introduce them, I feel like it’s kinda like what they did with Ronnie mentioning him early in the show and then bringing him back in a later season
DWiz brother is more than likely a stick up kid of some kind considering he has a lot of guns stashed and is known to be a wild boy that's always in and out of jail. I doubt he's DIRECTLY involved in the drug trade, much less a drug kingpin.

@cedricwilliams4128 right now he's not a kingpin but he can rise. I believe he will rise after Unique and Raq are out of the way.

If you watched the storyline closely for season 3 and listened carefully to the dialogue, narration, and musical themes, they are ALREADY literally telling the story of the rise of the KING(pin). @@cedricwilliams4128Kanan was only on top for bout 5-6 years his run wasn’t long ghost told Tariq he killed breeze when he was 18-19 witch moved him to the #2 spot he set Kanan up when he was 24-25 and ran things up until we where introduced to him in the Og power we do know Kanan was in jail for 10 years but was supposed to serve 15 years but got out due to a dirty prosecutor. Ghost & Kanan was never going to work long term they’re 2 alphas who don’t like to take orders but like to give them one was always gone have to be removed off the board

Unique looks like a "Wheel of Fortune" type of guy.
RSJ pops is Breeze! Simrad & Romero were shown early to forget. He makes the most sense because Ghost would help him as he grew up because had love for his Pops. Which is why he helped Tariq. It fits the storyline of something happening to the father & affecting the kid(good or bad)
I think Unique is Breeze bkuz who else would Ghost & Tommy learn to have money stashed away in multiple different places the Same way Unique taught Warrell...Remember the shoebox stash in season 2..Also if Unique was "supposed to d!e" in episode 5, why would the showrunner post that plane hinting at Breeze for season 3? I think at this point, we cant believe anything the showrunner says, bkuz Joey badaas wouldnt get on camera for TMZ and say "maybe the fans can petition 50 to bring me back'' a day after episode 5 aired only to return in episode 10..They aint show a body bkuz it was already planned from the beginning, plus Unique foreshadowed that same sentiment to Marvin in season 2...

I believe 50 is going to make breeze as anonymous as Tommy from the show martins job.
I would like to see who Plays as Breeze but with a Different Character Unique will go by a Different name if he's under the radar off the streets like Slim or whatever name he choose to stay under the radar in Power Book 3 Raising Kanan Season 4.
I believe Breeze will be a new character introduced to Raising Kanan.
@movie_bot I have an alternate theory that I have not seen mentioned anywhere. I think that after the beating Unique took he has suffered memory loss and is confused about the events that took place. I think when Kannan tells Raq he heard that she took out Raq and took Unique's connect he might have heard that from Unique himself. Now how Unique is taking Ronnie being killed is still up to the writers to see where they take it but I think that's one of the angles they might explore because of the beating he might not remember the fight and Ronnie doing that to him. So he might actually believe Raq tried to get him, and ended up taking his connect. I know there's more to it that can be expounded on but I think the writers might end up going that direction. Im curious to know what you think about this angle
Honestly imo Unique should have been kept off the show lowkey...Surviving a beating like that is highly unlikely but Niq lowkey has the characteristics of breeze. Strong, not smart. In S2 when he was told to leave southside he refused. When Sal asked him to be his inside man he refused. He didn't finish off Ronnie and had his back turned to him... that wasn't smart
I don’t think it was Breeze that killed Curtis. The writers can go a more clever direction with that while still intertwining both characters

Unique is 100% Breeze. If he's not it makes no sense to completely change the character of Unique just to change it. Unique character was crazy popular... when he comes back next season it's gonna be a totally different person

Great Theories and Recap @ Moviebot. I have always felt that Ghost killed Breeze because he killed his Father and his mind got poisoned by Kanan in doing so. Breeze is definitely D Wiz's brother and not Unique because that would be corny for us to have known him as Unique the whole time. He will be included in the cast next season and he will be the one that takes Lou out for killing D Wiz. I would D love to know the backstory on Ghost's dad and what they actually did to him that eventually caused his death? This show is the beat show in the Power universe with the best acting and .most realistic storyline and there is no way they would take the lazy route making a character we already know be Breeze. I can't wait to find out and can't wait for my favorite show Raising Kanan to return.

D-Wiz was a minor character in the grand scheme of things and people's memory is short in general which the writer's understand therefore it would be pointless to introduce an entirely new character just becuase his name was mentioned over two seasons ago. Nobody cares about D-Wiz anymore.
Unique was a central character to "Raising Kanan" and to get him to transition into another character is what will be intriguing for fans of the show to see.

Joey badass is a huge name before power so I think it only makes sense for him to be breeze he fits the description on and off the show but who knows I don’t see another actor being better than Joey tbh.

I like the 3rd scenario, they will introduce Breeze later at the end of Raising Kanan, and have a spin off with a young Ghost and Tommy, and may take that spin off up until Kanan goes to prison, using AI to make 50, Omari and Joseph look younger.

Unique will probably have a routine now due to his possible brain damage from getting hit repeatedly in his head with a pipe. He probably took on Ronnie’s personality with the whole routine thing, ie, watch his stories at night, eat his cereal. But the Unique before he got attacked by Ronnie wasn’t a routine kind of person, and he was actually pretty smart. So, unless his injury makes him less smart, I can’t see Unique being Breeze. 🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️
When Kanan said he wasn't smart, he didn't mean stupid or dumb. He meant in the context of him being predictable because of his everyday routines. This made him easy to kill by those close to him like Ghost.

B4 watching this video it only makes sense and if I was the writers. this year while filming I’ll have Mekiah Curtis hit the gym so he can gain muscle because he is currently 23 years old. So my Goal would be to have a time jump. the first episode we immediately catch up with RAQ KANAN and MARVIN after the shooting Kanan gets locked up with famous, RAQ can’t do nothing about it because Howard is gone now. SO In that whole year Lou is in rehab ,Jukebox in the army, and Kanan doing a year time. Marvin And Raq successfully running the business. When Kanan gets out he will visibly look bigger. Drops out of high school. That’s when breeze re-enters and gives room down the line for a young ghost and Tommy to come
I think Kanan manipulated Kanan and got him to kill Breeze but before he got to take over the game for himself, that slick MF Ghost got Kanan locked up! 😂😳
Season 4 predictions :
D Wiz brother links up with Niq and Stefano for revenge on the Thomas family. Niq has severe memory problems so Raquel is his opp once again for taking his business after his supposed death. Episode 5 Niq completes his transformation into Breeze by taking out Marvin for that long-standing debt owed for taking a shot at him and Jerome, as well as being Raqs best hitter. Emotion wise this would raise the stakes in Raising Kanan and make Niq the most hated again. Episode 10 Stefano D Wiz bro & Breeze have Raq hostage. Lou and Kanan attempt a rescue but D Wiz bro smokes Lou and is about to take out Raq till Breeze remembers his love for her and kills D Wiz bro. Police arrest Raquel, then at the episode ending Breeze and Kanan pop up at Stefanos house whilst he’s sat down watching Jeopardy…Stefanos gives him a speech about his son Unique. Niq responds saying Unique is dead, there’s only Breeze as him and Kanan light up Stefano. Season 5 Breeze Kanan Ghost Tommy
