In contrast to the second generation of dragon slayers, who also possess lacrima implants, the third generation received training directly from dragons in addition to having the implants.
Third, Gen is able to access DF because of having the Lacrima in them. That's why Sting and Rogue were able to. Think of them as the closest to being a Dragon
White drive and shadow drive are false DF like Laxus with the arm thing and cobra with his arm changing into a dragon arm, Gajeel the only one who hasn’t got dragon force and Wendy the only one to naturally call up on it as her own power 😊
Unfortunately they have extremely disappointing results to prove despite that. Then again much like the other dragon slayers, they were moreso raised in a more peaceful era.

Some fun facts about the Dragon Slayers as they have some weird claims to fame.
Natsu has eaten the most foreign energies in order to power himself up. Aside from standard flames, he’s been able to devour unique types of magic fire including the Flames of Rebuke and God Slayer Fire, while also having eaten magic energy he really shouldnt like Lightning, cursed explosions and Etherion.
Gajeel and Rouge are unique among the dragon slayers because of their ability to transform their bodies into their elements. This is a very unique advantage as it provides them a different avenue of fighting, such as with Gajeel’s Karma weapons and Rouge’s ability to sink into shadows.
Wendy is the first of the Dragon Slayer children to master her Dragon Force naturally. Sting and Rouge use their lacrimas as a power up, and Natsu only ever accessed Dragon Force through external aid.
Sting is also unique in that he is the first of the Dragon Slayers without an “element” attached to his powerset. Rather, the White Dragon Slayer magic gives him the ability to gain power from anything that is colored white.
Laxus is, the ONLY one of the Seven Dragon Slayers without a flying companion. Erik gets a pass because Kinana was once Cubelion the winged serpent. He’s also the first Dragon Slayer to change his generation after ripping out his Lacrima and devouring the soul of Elexion.
Rouge is the first of the Dragon Slayers to have an entire dimension at his disposal, though he may not know this yet. By using his ability to sink into the shadows, he is able to access a world of pitch darkness that we see through Sting’s eyes as the White Shadow Dragon Slayer. This could be similar to the dimension used by the Azure Dragon Slayer,
Finally, Future Rouge and Sting share the distinction of possibly being the only Dragon Slayers to have both the Dual Element form and the Dragon Force power at their disposal.

Having the lacrima within is a power they can tap into as 3rd Gen, it’s like having a mini flame of rebuke activate , that little energy unleashed to activate dragon force
Sting and Rogue achieved Dragon Force because of the Dragon Slayer Lacrima
Out of all the types of power systems I really like magic bc of the dragon slayers and Yami from black clover, like imagine being immune to lightning and being able to eat it as well (besides the side effects the motion sickness)
Let me guess 6th generation dragon slayers are gonna be human/dragon hybrids because of a human and a dragon having a child together aren’t they
I have a theory that the reason they got secondary elements from the Lacrima in the slayers who's elements they ate. Natsu got it from laxus who had lacrima. Sting and rogue got it from each other who have lacrima and gargeel got it from rogue aswell. I reckon they absorbed a bit of lacrima

To be 3rd generation you need a willing Dragon and a dead Dragon. That's hard to come by in the present.

Good Vid but Acno is basically a 5th gen dragon slayer bc he got his magic by bathing in the dragons blood and Laxus is now also a 5th gen ds after he ripped out the lacrima and ate elexions soul
Acnologia had his powers during the dragon king festival where he bathed in dragon blood. We still don’t know what generation he is but it’s implied he got his power taught to him
@@TheGreekWeeb what we know is that he was a doctor who was able to heal dragons but we never seen that a dragon taught him ds magic and I mean his dragon slayer magic that he has no element comes from him bathing in the blood of so many dragons so I would count him as a 5th gen dragon slayer

And bathing in dragon blood makes him stronger and more dragon like.
We don’t know how he got his powers exactly but it’s implied he learned it which makes him first gen.

Great content! Other random thought i had coming from tennis recently: 1. Semi western fine for fh drive/serve but generally not at the kitchen. Ditto wrist lagged fh/bh. 2. I found that drop serve let me to use my normal tennis fh timing on serve without really needing sacrifice my loop. 3. Tennis overheads work just fine though less slice is probably better. 4. Consider eastern for at least fh roll (instead of the more intuitive continental for tennis players). 5. Learn the shake and bake quick if you want to win early on since your drives are going to be pretty quickly 4.0ish (assuming youre at least a 3.5 tennis player).
I would say the Slayers in general meaning God slayers and so on.

Everyone knows what a dragon slayer is and demon slayer too explained by grey but the biggest mystery in slayer magic are the god slayers and to this day i still dont know what they are and what god do the godslayers slays
Theres a few important information you missed out. Its literally explained how first generation Dragon Slayer wa given to a human, as it's not necessary "taught" to them. You also missed out on how Lacrimas are made, saying it's a purified heart. It's not. Why do people always forget to add the most important details in this magic.
I don't know why it took me this long to think of it, but what if Sting and Rogue were also lied to about being 3rd generation. They obviously have the 1st gen traits, but in order to make the lacrima, wouldn't they need their dragons hearts? They were told that they killed their dragons, but that was a lie, and they were alive the whole time until the end of tartaros. So were they alive without their hearts? Or did they kill one of their kin to make lacrima for their slayers? It's kind of a plot hole.
All the of Dragons who raised children, made their kids 1st Gen. However Sting and Rogue's Dragons knew were their bodies were. After "killing" their Dragons they either made Lacrima themselves. Or they were implanted with Lacrima by their parents.
Does a Dragon need to die to create a Lacrima? If they were alive, surely they could fill a Lacrima with magic. Or sacrifice a body part to create a Lacrima.

lol I just thought of the next dragon slayer generation it should be called the sixth generation it is quite simple to explain what qualifies this type of generation it’s very simple. It’s when a third generation Dragon slayer eats their own dragon, and then not only they get a lot more powered, but they will also become what’s wrong as a sixth generation like the fifth generation but what makes them far more different is that they’re third generation it’s a crazy it’s a crazy theory

Theres nothing unclear about the way they eat and how it fuses with their power. They eat a magic power they get a magic boost. If it compliments their power they are able to keep it it doesnt HAVE to be from another dragon slayer as seen with natsu god dragon slayer magic. And dont give me that “But its still fire” that like saying dry ice is still ice. Yes they are the same but have COMPLETELY different properties.

I'm sorry but sting and rogue aren't third generation they're first generation just like Wendy,gajeel and nastu. They were born 400 yrs ago just like nastu, Wendy, and gajeel that sent to future with Anna but got separated when coming through gate. They just have a power boost bc of the larcima its like nastu permanent access to ethereon crystals to boost him up.
But 3rd Gens are stated to be 1st Gen Dragon Slayers who also have a Lacrima inside their body like a 2nd Gen, which exclusively are Sting and Rouge
From watching this video i now know that other than dragon force, dragon slayiing magic is not special within it's on verse it's just a bit rare. There is no difference between natsu's fire vs a random mage's fire magic in terms of the result. And for a show to have ended the fact that we don't have a lot of information about that was said multiple times in this video just shows how bad the writing is.

It’s lost because you can’t train in it to learn it. You have to either learned it, have a magical implant which costs a fuck ton of money that the average mage can’t get or 3 eating a dragon which hasn’t existed in the main continent for HUNDREDS OF YEARS and are rare even outside of the main continent

Most of the people who even know dragon slayer magic is from the past. There is only two people who isn't from the past who know dragon slayer magic and that's from a lacrima. So it is rare.
