If I may add this for record purpose to the on going discussion about Ọranfẹ. In 1898, about the third time that White European Christianity was again re-introduced to the City-State Kingdom of Ile-Ife, these people requested for some land to erect a building for their congregation in the name of their religion, my great grandfather, His Majesty the Deity King, Alayeluwa Ọba Adelẹkan Olubuse response was that "Ọranfẹ a binu", Baba Agba (Kabiyesi) said that they can only be allowed to worship their god in the virgin land called Iyekere-Igbo, Ile-Ifẹ in those days. This singular act alone tells how much Ọranfẹ is hold in the highest esteem by the entire Ootu people and most especially the Deity King Himself.

    Olubuse III

That Iyekere you mentioned is the origin of my town Iye-Ekiti in today's Ilejemeje Local Government in Ekiti State, it was changed from Iyekere to Iye-Ekiti after they became very big over a thousand years ago before they were affected by the war... And our own type of Ekiti dialect is the closest to Ife dialect, it a bit different from the general Ekiti dialect.
They changed the name purposely because they were no longer small as the name denoted. The population should be running toward over 15,000 to 20,000 or even more.

My perspective on this video, as well as the other one, revolves around Oodua/Lamurudu. Take a look at the other video featuring the elderly man stating that Lamurudu, the father of Oodua, was born to Oranfe.... even Oranmiyan received the from-name from Oranfe. 💯

The man is only trying to give honour and superiority to his household ancestor. But you still need to do more findings from the people who have those ancestral shrines in ile ife and I'm sure most of these things will be clear to u. Because ifa confirmed oduduwa as someone sent from Olodumare to filled the earth with sand and spread it. And the chain ⛓️ which oduduwa used to descended from heaven is still in it shrine till today.

Exactly the point. I've always been of the opinion that Oduduwa was a "civilizer"of the Yoruba race not the progenitor. The only problem is that some Ifa corpus said Oduduwa was the founder bla bla bla, but I think those were taken too literally thereby causing confusion.

But sir, they descended not just from the hills. At least they came from somewhere. We don't have change or bend our history to make it acceptable or fit popular beliefs. A lot of history was excavated by Britain and moved out of Nigeria. What's in those records fit what we claimed that Orunmila, Oranfe and others Irunmoles descended. And the location is not even near or within modern yorubaland but in central Nigeria. That was thousands and thousands of years ago. Problem is that we aren't looking around for the history we lost. Oranfe in ancient Egypt is known as Ra, whom they also call Sun-God with power of fire. Though European egyptologists have added a lot of misconception to the narrative.
Maybe you are talking about a human reincarnate of the earliest Oranfe.

The location would be in the vicinity of the location of Ife Oodaye, the first Ife Dynasty in days of the Irunmoles. It's surely not modern Ife. It's in another part of Nigeria. We will know the day we care for the history we lost. Especially the ones the British Empire excavated and took out of Nigeria.
