Great ride at Rainforest cafe and Pier. Thanks for this video it is taking my mind off Tony Bennett's passing. He was one of my favorite singer. May he RIP.
Been to Pleasure Pier Boardwalk forever ago. Made me nostalgic about the past. Hopefully I can be able to go to Galveston again one day. Keep up the good work.
When you went to San Antonio . You should have went to the rainforest there it’s the only three story location in the world .. fun for guest to see a nightmare to work in .. worked at that location for 9 yrs
Hello Jacob, a fan here from the netherlands.....I love your video's!! Especially the board walk video's...but I watch them all...the road side attractions are also great...always makes me feel as if i'm on a road trip myself!! Keep up the good work.I love watching you!!😘 Jolanda.
I lived in Galveston for 3 years and never visited either the Rainforest Cafe or the Pleasure Pier (I think it's a little ridiculous to charge just to walk on the pier and not ride any rides) so it's cool to see what I missed. I hope you and Jenny also spent some time just relaxing on the beach!
i do understand your point of view for charging access to the Pier. It is actually customary in several locations, in and out of the USA, sometimes at ridiculous prices (in which case i fully follow your example). But when you realize that the Pier needs an investment to build, needs maintenance, power, and needs some personnel, then you may better understand why there is a charge for access.
@@agerven That's a reasonable argument, and if there were no other revenue-generating streams on the pier, I would happily pay to access it. However, with the rides, games, food stalls, and restaurants, I think there's more than enough money being generated to cover the cost of maintaining the pier. Just my opinion. 🤷♀
Totally amazing what's not to love the food looks WOW and the ride.. And the pier.. This is a fantastic day /night out... So pleased to see you enjoying this great place.!!!! XXX
Pleasure Pier was once home to the historic Flagship Hotel from 1965 until 2008. It was totally built over water. Hurricane Ike severely damaged it and subsequently closed. The Pleasure Pier opened in in 2012.
Eddy Burback has youth, a funny face, humor, great storytelling and editing skills, and he managed to get an online bank to fund his latest "every-Margaritaville" video that already has 1.5 million views, but he's no Jacob the Carpetbagger when it comes to sheer determination in churning out nearly daily content.
In 1987, I stayed at the Flagship Hotel there with my youth group. We were on the top (7th) floor. I distinctly remember people fishing off of their balconies, and we were watching the seagulls catching the pieces of bread we threw in mid-air. The last time I was there was three weeks after Hurricane Ike in 2008 to help with relief efforts. The entrance to the Flagship Hotel was halfway hanging in the water, and part of the wall of the hotel was opened up revealing the inside of one of the rooms. The hotel was a total loss, and the Landry’s corporation took over and built the Pleasure Pier. I have not been back since the hotel was destroyed.
I hope you get to visit the train museum while in Galveston! Also did you look into going by the Tee Pee Motel in Wharton, TX? Sadly, they aren't taking guests into the Tee Pee's even though they spent so much money on renovating it about 15 years ago.
Hey there, so good to see both of you happy and healthy at the Pier. Very good camerawork from both of you! Your gear is very well suited for the dark ride and for the Boardwalk Pleasure at night as well.
I was 10 year old and my mom forced me on the Texas chair swing. I was terrified but the view was amazing! I loved it, and you should go on it! This is the best pier! I go to galveston for a vacay. So glad you get to experience this too!
That was the original location of the Pleasure Pier in Galveston until Hurricane Carla in 1961. Then from about that time on it was the Flagship Hotel. Then after Hurricane Ike in 2008, Landry's purchased the pier and brought back the Pleasure Pier. Landry's also developed the Kemah Boardwalk in 1997.
Before the amusemnt park was built on the pier, it had a histooric hotel built in the 1960s called The Flagship hotel. Stayed there a couple nights several years ago. The hotel was irreparably damaged during Hurricane Ike in 2008. It was the first fully over water hotel in North America.
Omg, that's an enormous Rainforest Cafe! There's a $2B theme park they're planning to build along Rt 66 in OK called American Heartland. It's going to be built by former Disney Imagineers and builders. They plan to have it ready by 2026!
imagine I see you in person because I want to Galveston, TX on July/16/2023 with my mom and my brother, and we going to Moody Gardens and we going back home on July/17/2023 after you want there. How exciting it would be.
If you want to visit every Rain Forest Cafe --- just wait, they're closing down, one after the other; soon, that one in Galveston could be the sole survivor. The few left (for now) are just sad shells of what they used to be.
I wish I knew were going to be here. I would hav e bought you lunch! The ship lights on the horizon are ships waiting their turn to come into Houston to unload.
No way! I live here and I missed you! I'm like, happy you visited but sad I missed you it would have been cool to meet you. Either way, hope you had a good time. Traffic here sucks especially in summer but, maybe you should visit moody gardens if you get the chance
You could have ridden the Farris Wheel since you had Jenny with you, but you didn't. In Galveston there is one of the cruise ship ports. Each of those cruise liners are literally a floating city in itself.
Heh, don't feel bad Jacob, all of those games are rigged. That big guy in front of you should have won with no trouble. How come you and Jenny didn't hit the Ferris Wheel? You had a second rider for a change. ☺
The dark ride is a neat feature! Very campy but still cool that they offer it. The world needs more dark rides. :)
Great ride at Rainforest cafe and Pier. Thanks for this video it is taking my mind off Tony Bennett's passing. He was one of my favorite singer. May he RIP.
Im sorry for the loss of your favorite singer
@@olikiahill260 Your welcome

My home! Welcome to Houston/ galveston Love it here.
I'm glad you two are having a good time in Texas. Jenn, I am happy you are getting to spend time with Jacob ❤️ I love you both 💗💗
The rain forest cafe food is delicious and the atmosphere is amazing
This is my favorite dark ride that you have shown us 🎉
Been to Pleasure Pier Boardwalk forever ago. Made me nostalgic about the past. Hopefully I can be able to go to Galveston again one day. Keep up the good work.
Laundry’s pretty much owns Galveston area .. multiple laundry’s properties
THX vor showing us all the carrusells! It makes me Happy 😊❤🎠
I haven't seen on youtube anyone as entertaining as you doing these theme places etc....its always a gd time with Jacob 😋
I'm surprised there wasn't a dark ride on the pier. Glad you're enjoying Texas in spite of the heat 🥵💖
The best part of that Eddy Burback video is him giving the middle finger to the menu at his final stop.
This must be one of the more detailed Rainforest Cafe's in the states, glad you had fun and enjoy the rest of your time in the Lone Star State!
Great Vid Jacob always a treat to see Jenn
When you went to San Antonio . You should have went to the rainforest there it’s the only three story location in the world .. fun for guest to see a nightmare to work in .. worked at that location for 9 yrs
I heard how difficult it was to work at a restaurant like yours.

I always feel like ive been there, wherever you go! Thanks for the adventures 😊
Great seeing the two of you having fun. 😊
Check out moody gardens while in the area, glad you're enjoying Texas and taking Jen along with you!

I felt the same way as I live in Texas City. Paying for admission just to walk on the pier and not ride rides is ridiculous.
Galveston, Texas is my home sweet home! It's island time!
Hot here in central California, but the river ride you were on, cooled me down. Thanks Jacob
We went to ride the Rainforest Cafe Dark Ride last month with our kids because of you. It was so much fun
I went to the pier last year with my papa and we had a blast there, I’m glad you got to visit the pier and hope you had a blast as well.
Glad you are having fun in Texas. Jave a great day .
Hey Jacob, love your videos. The Landry's Select card gets you priority seating usually within 15 minutes and gets you a birthday award. Take care.
The last time I went to the Pleasure Pier it was the Flagship Hotel. Feeding the seagulls from the 6th floor window was a different kind of fun.
Hope you visited Murdoch's while you were there, it's one of our favorite stores.
Haven’t been here in a while, with school and work. You and Jen are still always enjoyable to watch.
Jenn helping Jacob out of that chair looked like a sneak peak into their golden years.
Well. One more stop on our to-go list. Thanks Jacob
Totally amazing what's not to love the food looks WOW and the ride.. And the pier.. This is a fantastic day /night out... So pleased to see you enjoying this great place.!!!! XXX
I hear the river adventure is the only one in the world for the rainforest Cafe franchise
Jenn was smart. PASTA looked amazing
I agree that Iron Shark coaster looks really nauseating and frightening.😮
I grew up coming here, awesome to see you visit!
I like watching you as you can be silly.
I want to go to all these one off rides. I can't wait to start traveling. Love those stools.
Pleasure Pier was once home to the historic Flagship Hotel from 1965 until 2008. It was totally built over water. Hurricane Ike severely damaged it and subsequently closed. The Pleasure Pier opened in in 2012.
Love the Rain Forrest Restaurant and the dark ride. All animatronics not taxidermy animals.

Eddy-Carpetbagger collab would be awesome
Glad to see you guys together. Looks like you've had a great time in Texas...dare I say a hot time? Ha ha. Thanks for the video!
Awesome Jacob 😎 thanks for sharing, have your fun. It's cool to see. You take care and stay safe 🤓📸✌️

Love it as always.
If you liked pleasure pier you could also try kimah boardwalk they have a themed train ride and a wooden coaster
I hope you get to visit the train museum while in Galveston! Also did you look into going by the Tee Pee Motel in Wharton, TX? Sadly, they aren't taking guests into the Tee Pee's even though they spent so much money on renovating it about 15 years ago.
Love this video! Love the Rain Forest Cafe! I only visited the one in Atlantic City. This ride looks amazing!!! Thanks for sharing!
Hey there, so good to see both of you happy and healthy at the Pier.
Very good camerawork from both of you!
Your gear is very well suited for the dark ride and for the Boardwalk Pleasure at night as well.
Fun! So much joy seeing you & Jenn!🥰🥳
Literally just watched the visiting every Margaritaville video before this one and you mention the every rainforest cafe video lol. Very nice
My goodness, Jacob! Your zigzagging all over Texas is making me dizzy!!😂🥴
You guys had a lot of fun.
I'm sure all that water was very welcome after all the heat in TX
Sorta, but the water is like 89F lol
I wouldn't Play in that Water .
I was 10 year old and my mom forced me on the Texas chair swing. I was terrified but the view was amazing! I loved it, and you should go on it! This is the best pier! I go to galveston for a vacay. So glad you get to experience this too!
Jacob did the walk of shame funny as hell lmfao.
Interesting little fact:
Landrys also owns Golden Nugget in Las Vegas!!
Therein, use points at Landrys locations, get comps at Golden Nugget!

That must be a strong pier to support the weight of all those crazy rides...
You are cool 😎
Agreed.
Ur on the biggest n best in the nation. Rainforest cafe.
Jenn should have cheer you up with a funnel cake. After the strongest man
You had a lucky experience I’ve never gotten stuck on the dark ride
Me and my kids, when they were little Savages, rode this dark ride. It was fun. And we liked the erupting volcano outside at night.
Hi Jenn! We love you!
Houston area also has Kemah Boardwalk and a wooden rollercoaster and other rides. Don’t miss that.
Always great watching u nice one!😁🤗
The moaning vulture literally made me laugh out loud 🤣😂🤣😂
Welcome to Texas and Galveston island

You and Jen are fun❤
Another great fun vlog 👍😁
The rollercoaster on the Pier is similar to the one that got stuck upside down because a rider’s purse fell in the tracks below 😮
If you are still roaming around Texas, the Stanzel Model Aircraft Museum is in Central Texas between Houston and San Antonio.
I love Jacob’s vibes 🎉
I haven't been to Texas since I was little ❤
Less than a month ago i rode the ride a went to Galveston tx to go on a cruise it was great so fun
If you want to visit every Rain Forest Cafe --- just wait, they're closing down, one after the other; soon, that one in Galveston could be the sole survivor. The few left (for now) are just sad shells of what they used to be.
Eddy Burback Carpetbagger crossover 2023!!!
How fun I hope to get there soon !!!
I wish I knew were going to be here. I would hav e bought you lunch! The ship lights on the horizon are ships waiting their turn to come into Houston to unload.
i want to go to the rainforest cafe one day so i can be on the dark ride
but i hope you will have a great time in texas.
I have videos of that rainforest cafe location
love your videos keep up the good work
No way! I live here and I missed you! I'm like, happy you visited but sad I missed you it would have been cool to meet you. Either way, hope you had a good time. Traffic here sucks especially in summer but, maybe you should visit moody gardens if you get the chance
Good morning from Gatlinburg TN Smoky Mountains Park Mr Bagger 🏞️🐻🌄
Awww. You’re just a few blocks away. I’d like to meet you.
I hope you go back for Mardi Gras and make a video about that
I love galveston
just went there last friday

The swingers at the Pleasure Pier huh? 🎠🎢
All my life in Texas never eaten there at that location
20:57 And now, the walk of shame! Poor Jacob! Better luck next time! Eat fewer Fruit Loops and more Wheaties!
Heh, don't feel bad Jacob, all of those games are rigged. That big guy in front of you should have won with no trouble.
