Traveling with my wife and our two teenage girls mid February and thrifting in Paris is high on our list of to do's. Thank you for posting this timely video. Merci!
I love shopping second hand - you can find some really beautiful pieces and find those higher quality items at a great price. That green dress was gorgeous!
One goal this Christmas: Find a wool top coat to wear to Opera. Found! Marche d’Aligre outdoor market, €50 coat, €30 clean and brushed…Perfect! Opera was Carmen.
I'm so glad that the algorithm led me to you guys channel. You two are gems! I was hoping that someone in my age group would post videos for tourists. There are a ton of young people showcases places but I was looking for people who would go where I would want to venture to while traveling. You guys are the BEST. In my future travels to Europe, I hope to meet you. I just love your vibes. So loving, fun, and personable. Love, love, LOVE your channel. I watch one video per day since subscribing. You guys are my new reality series! *gigglilng* Thank you for sharing your adventures with us.
Hey Colleen and Antoine, I only discovered your channel two days ago and I've been binge-watching obsessively - thanks for so many great and inspiring videos (especially those involving pastries and chocolate!). Have you made a video on Parisian flea markets/brocantes?
Thanks so much! I recently got into thrift shopping, my fave places are both in the 15th where I live: Ding Fring (part of the Emmaüs network) and Bis Boutique Solidaire. Both have other locations in Paris.
Love this! I have left some clothes in Paris over the years. My favorite black faux Ralph Lauren winter cap that fell off in the metro last time I was around and a good coat on a fence in Montmartre voluntarily once. Hope someone might still find these two somewhere and enjoy them. Re-use, recycle! :)
Thanks for the tips..love exploring and a bargain. Have you explored the Marche Aux Puce North end of Paris ? Is it still there? I have not been there since 65 when I picked up 2 mid 19th century marble clocks. At that time you could buy anything from false teeth to a Ferrari.
Hi Coleen! I’m happy to see you are feeling better! Loved this video of you and your friends! Are all thrift shops second hand stuff? Can’t wait for the next video of you and Antoine!
I would never have thought of this. I am definitely doing this on my visit in a eight weeks. I know you think about you video topics and the more unusual idea, but this one and the covered galleries have definitely influenced my visit plans. I can’t wait to see you next videos before I go.
Are all the thrift stores just clothes? Are there stores for locals that sell home goods, books, and other items? I'm going to Paris in a few weeks and my wife and I are binging your videos. You guys are great!
Your channel is awesome. I'm taking my daughter to Paris next week for two days and your videos have been invaluable to help me efficiently plan our brief stay in Paris. However, this video is spot on with my daughter's interests. Thank you! I just purchased your PDF Travel Guide as my way of saying thanks.
Loved this. Who doesn't enjoy 'girls' day' shopping. Did the usual visits...Bon Marche, Galeries Lafayette (affinity for le marquis, of course as an American)...both impressive. But this was fun and if I have a casual day in Paris...this would be a fun way to spend it. Merci from Wisconsin!
Thank you so much for sharing your shopping trip. I’ve been to Paris a few times and was unable to find these stores. Not any more!!! Enjoy all your videos. Appreciate the work you put into them. Kind regards, stay well x
Thank you! WOW!! I love your videos, but this one is one of my favorites! Can’t wait for the next one! I have made a folder just for your channel!!! Can you say it’s binge watching time?!!!! ❤
Very nice info. Thank you! Thought to myself of course there must be places to shop reasonably in Paris where locals go, as I found out in my numerous visits to Japan having been said the most expensive city in the world, I still found out where to shop cheaper (for gifts like foods such as sembei crackers, chocolates, mochi cakes, etc. which are sold higher in convenience stores or departnent stores' foodcourts, clothes, etc). By the way, does Elisa works as a gymnastics instructor? At her age she can still do cartwheel. I was surprised I thought it's a random girl on the street but recognized her UGGS boots and teal blue jacket & cap! 👍
Yes!!! This is the video I’ve been waiting for! Finding the best of anything in Paris is tough, with so much to choose from, and vintage shopping has always been a mystery. Now I know I can leave some space in my suitcase for my next visit!! On y va - merci!!
New Subscriber. Genuine question Colleen, as I've just found you. Please dont be offended. Do you ONLY wear striped Breton style tops? No other styles?. Just wondering as it's all I've seen so far, just interested in your style choices, that's all? Is it just the only style that is comfortable to you? You undoubtedly suit them I love them, too, but only own 2 so far, and am envious of what must be a vast collection of your tops!!
Hi, I love your videos. This one was a bit disappointing. I’m a larger woman than almost any French women. I’ve never had any luck at second hand stores in Paris. You mention that one store was for “younger” people. I’d say “smaller” people.
Let's hear it for the woman who did the cartwheel at the end! Impressive.

Perfect! Being 'green', recycling, and anti-landfill is the way!! Thank you.
Of course we love Antoine, but this was a nice switch up!!! Lovely to see a lady's day out!

Congratulations, a very interesting video, the editing is incredible. Thank you so much. An excellent job.
Thank you

Such a good idea for a video! We will definitely take you up on these stores. 😊 🛍️
The video I’ve been waiting for!!! Now if you’ll cover brocantes!
I was delighted to see a UMASS sweatshirt (my alma mater) in Free P Star-I will be sure to check it out in April. Merci
My friend and i are visiting in March. We can't wait. Im taking notes on all the flea markets and thrift stores.
Omg 💙 this is literally what I was looking for. I’ll be there in two weeks. I’ll be writing down these names
That looks fun! Any suggestions on thrifting for home decor, vintage kitchenware, etc.? Small treasures to take home?
Look for Vintage or Friperie shops. I would expect more of those near Montmartre.
Dear Frenchies, what I see is your great love for Paris, I feel the same! 💖
This has been my favourite video to date…fun and informative. I loved vintage shopping when I was in Paris. I now know where it go. When I go back!
I loved it too, especially since I love thrifting. I now know where to get into lots of fun trouble if I ever go to Paris. The food looked good too.
@@alviebushmann9754 I love thrifting too! Paris really does have some of the best thrift shops I’ve ever been in!

Recommendations places to shop for pre-owned luxury brands?

What’s the weather like in March in Paris?
@@LesFrenchiesTravel thank you♥️
Is it true that larger women’s sizes are next to impossible to find in Paris?
Was wondering the same thing.
❤❤❤

Do they have op shops in France like we have here in Australia? We have St Vincent de Paul and Red Cross.🐨🦘🇦🇺
How fun 😊
