You echoed my sentiments on this fragrance. I tried this one last year, and I was completely blown away. Subsequently, it became my winter signature scent. I love that boozy vanilla smell, it reminds me of pure malt's vibe with some different notes. Surprised not many reviewers have done this one - it smells delicious and is cheap/easy to get. Steven, I put my nose on this one after looking at your review. I wore it to work today. It was a great scent, and I got about nine hours out of it, basically the entire workday. I never would have thought Bath and Body Works would produce a fragrance like this, and it smells great.
I've been interested in this one and now it is a definite buy. They frequently have coupons so I'm hoping they apply toward fragrances. I have the Bigelow Lemon fragrance. It is my evening after shower scent. Very referencing.

Got this fragrance as a christmas gift 4 years ago and didn't appreciate it as much as i should've...pulled it out of my collection today and WOW it smells delicious. Found out it was discontinued and going for $200 on eBay LOL! great review and I'm going to make this cologne my go-to in the winter

i just got this n i must say both bvlgari man in black n this are very close, love to have both in collection though, im pretty sure not many people around me own these bottles, esp this one, and gotta admit i bought this just coz of your review, good bang for the buck, its like 38 dollars in malaysia, no complains what so ever :)

I really like your videos because you are extraordinarily genuine when you speak, completely laking the rehersive style of many other youtubers (in general)...As far as I have seen, I love that you dont overdue it, it comes very natural to you to speak about this stuff... you dont have to look for sophisticated words, yet you used them regularly, (i dont really like to say sophisticated, what i mesn is pleasing and un common vocabulary)...the thing is that it comes naturally to you, you flow smoothly for lack of a better expression...and i think is because this is simply something you honestly love.
I also like that you are always carefull in taking into account the subjectivity associated to liking fragrances...the video with your fiance shows that because you always kept the balance when she was absoolute in her opinions......you describe the products in many important aspects...including the perfumer...which is something i have only seen in your reviews (although i should say i dont think i have watched lots of other reviewers). you are aware of what the viewers might not know and you present it...here im talking about the celebrities video...is it necessary to say who katy perry is?...not many people whould have done so...but you did and i thought...thats thougtfull.
in summary, you do more than an excellent job in these videos and i thank you for that.

+Redolessence I love the smell of this fragrance. I initially bought the body lotion and I wanted to see what people said about it. I did a search on youtube and found this video...the best thing was that I realized that there was a cologne. Didnt think twice, and bought it.
I learned about aventus just yesterday after a marathon of waching your videos...and i am intrigue. i was happy to see that blue de chanel appears in many of yor top lists because thats the first perfume i bought.
if i may suggest something, which perhaps you have already done. Could you do a video (or guide me to an already existing one) explaining the distinction between eau de perfume, cologne, toilette...and other types of fragrances, perhaps oil-based.... In essence im asking for a kind of intro to fragrances video. I supposed this information is certainly out there...but i think it would be interesitng to see your version of such an intro...after all..my guess is you are a teacher so it should be interesting.
Steven, this one was a scrubber for me. I found it too sweet and to me it smelled better suited for a candle or a carpet deodorizer than a cologne to be worn on the skin. Just my 2 scents. Thanks for the video!
Great review as always, Steven! Definitely appreciate you highlighting Bath & Body Work's line. I actually think that their line is very underrated. I'm a big fan of Noir & Twilight Woods, and I get about 5-7 hours out of both of them with decent sillage. I tested out Mahogany Woods in the store a few weeks back. I really love the smell, but I was instantly reminded of D & G's The One. Another wonderful scent of course, but I felt like I should bring up this comparison. It's got to be that amber note that made me think that way. Will definitely be giving Mahogany Woods another shot! Might be a great alternative to The One if it lasts longer.
i cant understand how an eau de cologne lasts so long and stays so strong throughout, i get like 8 hours in hot n humid country like malaysia.im glad no one has this and it costs me only about a fraction of what it could be if it was from a dior or bvlgari house.lovely scent

I stocked up on the body lotion this past month during their semi annual clearance sale. The lady told me that they bring back the retired scents during these clearances and so hopefully it back in a few months when they do this again.

Steve - when I was going through your list of video that you had created in the past few weeks, I skipped this review. I just assumed you were reviewing a woman's product from Bath and Bodyworks. Since I always walk by my local one and never go in, I didn't even know they made men's fragrances. After watching your video, I'm going there tomorrow and getting my nose on it.
Being from the uk this is hard too get. However I was in newyork for new year, me and my girlfriend done a massive b&bw haul and I smelt this and loved it. I chose to get two of the shower gels and the body lotion of the scent but I decided not too pick the cologne up as I had already purchased about 5 expensive fragrances during my trip so thought I'd better cut back lol anyway now I'm back home and keep smelling the shower gel and managed to grab the cologne off eBay. Moral of the story is it just shows how good this scent is that iv went round in a big circle and still ended up buying it in the end.

It's funny, I was at Bath and Body Works, killing time, and I gave this a sniff. I thought to myself, "man this smells really damn good, wtf?!" I even gave myself a hard time for liking a B&BW fragrance, thinking "maybe your nose isn't as sophisticated as you like to think Jimmy boy!" I guess I can sleep easy tonight. Cheers!
I did blind buy this one because in one of your videos you said its niche quality. It's a good juice but it didn't give me the same vibe as a Midnight in Paris or Eau Fraîche nevertheless this stuff last for 10 hours strong on me. The sillage is exceptional the only minor issue I have is about the drydown it smells just like a vanilla candle in a living room or a glade spray. Let me know what you think and keep posting your videos I am a fan.
Nice review! What do you think of their other fragrances such as Alpine Suede and Whitewater Rush. Hmmm...it just occurred to me that I picked up a bottle or two or Mahogany Woods body wash, along with Amber Woods, during a recently sale. I'll have to give the body wash a try.

I HAVE BOUGHT IT. Damn! It smells so good! The 2in1 shower gel made my skin feel silky smooth, and the smell was orgasmic! The lotion is nothing short of fantastic... my sister smelled it on me from afar. It lasts long on my skin and the drydown reminds me of D&G The One. I layered it with Au Masculine now and it smells divine! Gorgeous!! Can't wait for my girlfriend to smell this on me

Bath and body works is known for their "Buy X, get X-1 Free" deals which could certainly reduce the per unit cost on these even further. Do you have any suggestions on additional fragrances worth picking up in a package deal? Any idea about the usefulness of the associated Mahogany Woods shower gel and lotion? @@Redolessence Buying this fragrance on ebay is very expensive now. I have a bottle with the box that is 80% full but I want to buy a backup bottle. I love this fragrance so much. If I smelled this blindly I would have thought there was a good chance it was a niche fragrance. Expert craftsmanship on this one. And it lasts a long, long time.

Yea that’s not happening with this one it usually only happens with fragrances they recently discontinued so as of now that would be stuff like forest, freshwater and coast

Personally, I think it's better than either. Mahogany Woods smells niche, high end niche. Just a gorgeous fragrance. A compliment beast as well. Get it if you can.
@@Martin-gz4qn There’s a richness to mahogany woods that doesnt take away from the freshness which is impressive and niche-like.
Reminds of how Lucky One Million has a freshness which doesnt take away from the gourmand in the background.
One I would suggest to get or at least try is Eau des Baux by L’Occitane; im not sure if it’s niche or not but it’s impressive and I found myself sometimes using it more than spicebomb extreme and mahogany woods
