I have 3 girls,my youngest has just left Yr 11..honestly Yrs7-9 are the hardest years for girls…they go to high school they see all of the year 10&11 girls and think they have to act, dress etc just like them…friendship group dramas nearly sent me insane…the school they went too was so so strict, like there needs to be rules and I wouldn’t work in a high school but they are still human beings..they want them to be like soldiers or robots..and I personally think it can be too much sometimes,I truly think some teachers are on a power trip..my girls had to wear a pinafore even the older girls…this was to stop them rolling their skirt up and to cover their chest area…the reasons why, are basically not to distract the boys…😡 which makes me feel sick…I couldn’t imagine being a teen girl growing up in the world now,we had it so easy compared to them..😩 everything they do,say, wear is under a magnifying glass..the become like sheep where they can’t wear something if none of the other girls have…it does change as they get older, but it can be so intense for them…its a really hard balance of telling them off and feeling bad off them..😢x

🎉 welcome back, it's always good to have a social media detox. I try and come off social media twice a year. Refreshes the brain 😁
I can't believe Myles is 5 in September, my goodness time has flown. It's very normal to have a sort of grieving process when the youngest goes to school. It's that stage of baby/toddler/preschool era is over and they are growing up.
Southbourne is so lovely. My aunt lived there so we had many summer holidays running up and down the zigzag. The bikes are a brilliant idea.

I feel your pain. My daughter is a high flyer academically but I get emails and phone calls home because she's not wearing her bloody tie. She has it in her bag but doesn't wear it!!!! There are other very personal things going on that school have been so supportive with but it boils my blood when they make such a drama over small stuff. It's not like she goes out of school grounds and needs to be identifiable!!! Like you say schools are for learning. My daughter has 98.99% attendance this year but they still moan about her tie. Perhaps they need to look at the kids who are never at school/ taken out regularly for holidays and deal with that instead.

Yeah I mean she’s doing well.. at least she wearing the uniform 🙃

I agree. I don’t think the school should contact you about her uniform. The uniform is between them and her and she deals with the consequences. There is nothing you can do about it. Good luck. 🤞

    I hear you x
Teenage girls - the great thing i have found is that when they have children of their own you can be very close and a great support to them , I live 5 minutes drive from one daughter and grandchildren but son is in USA and about to become an American citizen

Hi. I love the update on your family’s life. It’s nice to know we are all experiencing the same things. The beach looked lovely. Was that a bikini top you were wearing on the beach or your bra as I really like the colour? Keep making these great videos😘

All girls are the same, attitude, pulling skirts up and dramas with other girls. Boys are so different, I agree on the school uniform thing, I was contacted once saying my sons school shoes, were too much like black trainers, I’d bought them from Clark’s and they classed them as school shoes. I said to them well they cost me £40 and I’m not buying him anymore so tough, it’s not like they had branded writing and white or any other colour on them, it doesn’t affect their learning so I don’t know why it’s such a big thing x

@@clairelou09011988 I know I was so annoyed. I said well do you want me to show the receipt stating they are from Clark’s school section and you can pay for another pair if you’re not satisfied with him wearing them. They soon backed down 🤭

    Lovely to see you back.
I would be concerned tbh Claire if she’s having attitude at school and not doing as she’s told re the skirt. When she is at work, she can’t back chat then. Life unfortunately is about following rules at times. Personally I wouldn’t stand for that at all and she would be in a lot of trouble. Just my opinion as you have asked for viewers thoughts xx

Well yeah tbh she’s knows I’m not happy.. like I said it’s getting everyone frustrated.. just pull the skirt down I say on a daily basis 🙃🤦🏻‍♀️ it’s just not worth the hassle is it she should definitely follow the rules.
