Both of these guys changed rivalries forever. Once they retire we will never see individuals like this ever again. While these 2 are the main rivalry in here, I would have to include Stamkos in here as well given how he's basically Ovi 2.0, how he makes players around him better and is a proven winner as well.
@@vitalityrules3213 100% my man. He basically is Ovechkin 2.0 with his consistency and how he does it. I mean he scored the second most goals in the 2010s decade only behind ovechkin. Ovis highest being 65 and average being between 40-45 and stamkos having a high of 60 and an average of 40-45 even at his age still now. Granted even more impressive is that the vast majority of his career along with ovi and crosby but mostly ovi in a goal scoring perspective was in a low scoring decade (the 2010s). I know this sounds kinda dumb but I personally think Stamkos should've had the Ted Lindsay Award winner instead of Malkin in 2012. I know he was a finalist for that award the year before but I agree with Daniel Sedin getting it then and am glad he did and I agree 100% on Malkin getting the hart trophy in 2012 especially with crosby missing most of that 2011-2012 year but the Ted Lindsay award should've went to Stamkos given he scored 60 goals on a mediocre Lightning team that season.
In my opinion the greatest sports rivalry ever. And yes, I'm biased, Crosby is my favorite player. But the back and forth between those two has been awesome. So happy I got to grow up watching them play.
@@arnaudfontaine7882 Crosby is miles better, better defensively, better playmaker, makes his teammates better. Not a better goalscorer or hitter, but for a top line forward that matters less
ovechkin makes teammates better too look at backstrom, wilson, carlson, kuznetsov, etc. Ofc crosby is better defensively and playmaker but I really hate it when people say only crosby makes teammates better when the truth is BOTH do@@xlr0gd205

Stammer is very underrated, this season he hit 40 goals for the 7th time. In 82 games his career average is 42 goals and he’s almost played 1100 games

I doubt that we will ever see an individual player rivalry like this in the NHL again.
Did he say a Wookiee?
when they retire I hope it's at the same time.
George Bush NHL
not even a single mention that 87 demolished the rivalry?!
Hockeys a team game dude.
@@Gmaneeeee did you watch the video or even read the title "dude"? It's Sid v Ovi. Translation :1guy v 1 guy, not team v team

A great rivalry but nowhere near the best not even close. Get over yourself pens and caps fans 😂
I’d say it’s one of the best. Which would you say is better? Ali and Frazier is up there too.
