I just learned how to make a major and minor chord in fl and just go based on that. you can also use scale highlighters in fl and follow that which could def be easier if you're just starting
@@imfeaturingelijah yeah i usally use the highlighters but noticed a lot of producers just ignoring them and clicking in whatever theyre feeling. which i assume is still all part of a scale but maybe helps freedom a bit idk lmao. great content though, much love!
stuff sounds great man, what plugins would you recommend for sound mixing and really just finding sounds to start with? I heard Omnisphere is good and I also saw that you used serum early on in the vid
Thanks brodie. for mixing, look at tutorials that show off basic stuff. most recommended will be learning how to use fruity limiter, compressor and EQs. For volume of your sounds and drums, look at the loudness of each track and adjust the knobs based on that. For actual plugins man I use the same few including Serum, ElectraX, Addictive Keys (way cheaper than Keyscape), Xpand2, and one shots are also super great and cheap (you can find those on reddit). Omnisphere is amazing but a huge cost but if you got the money then go ahead. Hope this helped bro!
love watching these type of vids bro, its dope to see others process 🔥

solid video man, you think its better to not use a scale and just follow your ear when starting from scratch?

where you get the serum sounds
reddit, plenty on there
Can i get a link to the drum kit you used for this beat? I have a lot of drum sounds but they’re really bad quality sounds wise
main ones were both of rio leyvas drum kits, should be able to find them on reddit
@@imfeaturingelijah found it, thank you keep it up
how do u get that ui design for serum?
open up serum and click the logo at the top left, should be an option to select skin and then choose the theme you want
Could we get a free kit man
Idk why you would cut that and have it as repeated note sound good just like that 2:42
I feel you but I just felt like it added more bounce
We getting this beat for non profit artists?
once I get my beatstars back up then yeah it’ll be available
