I have an Angels trumpet about the same size and color as yours. I also over winter in the basement. She’s had a rough summer with spider mites but is blooming. I took a start from her which is now 3 years old and 4’ tall and has never bloomed. It leafs out beautifully each year but never flowers. I care for both the mother and daughter plants the same. Would love to hear any ideas you may have as to why it doesn’t flower.
Hmmm, I wonder if it’s a nitrogen issue. Too much will encourage plenty of healthy leaves but no flowers. Have you tried a fertilizer with a higher phosphorus number than nitrogen?
Essayez de l’engrais à tomates, car il fait partie de la grande famille des tomates. Je n’arrose JAMAIS à l’eau claire. Vous verrez que les fleurs arriveront! Bonne culture! 😊
May be, it would be better just to put all those additional annual flowers in separate pots around Brugmansia. I noticed not a lot of plants like to be underplanted with annuals. Hope this beauty survived.
It did survive and flowered again this summer. I’ve had great luck with sweet potato vine beneath it and do separate pots of colorful annuals around it.
Really wished you wore gloves, even gauntlet gloves while cutting this plant. You are aware how dangerous it is because you said not good to have if you gave kids and pets. The sap could have gotten on you and poisoned you!!!
You're right! Gloves are a good thing to wear when working with brugmansia. While the sap can be a skin irritant. the greatest danger is from ingestion.

You shouldn't use a plastic pot 😊
