In 1973, border conflicts arose again in the Middle East. Egypt and Syria coordinated a surprise attack on Israel, who mobilized troops, technology and tactics with speed and precision.
Israel has been recognized as a country by Egypt. This is a HUGE victory. Worth more than a piece of desert.
First, my sincere condolences for all those who has made most sacred sacrifices for their countries, both Egypt and Israel.
Both side has suffered so much and has lost so many loved ones. I sincerely hope, we can end our feuds and bloodsheds at our generation and our children and their children can learn to respect and live with each other.

I have many fond memories of an elderly Jewish couple in India who were my maternal grandmother's neighbours., a Mr and Mrs Abraham. They were very kind, loving and helpful and use to love us kids.. spoil us bits with candy, n other treats. I never new who the Jewish were and their history. What happened in 67 was irrelevant, especially since it was an Israeli aggression, not a response to an Arab attack.

With Jordanian and Iraqi coordination, and REAL effort, the BLIGHT Humanity has come to know as Israel-could have been cleansed from the Earth. Now, we'll have to do it the hard way, at greater expense. I also think Soviet support by Direct Intervention would have helped. Massive Heavy Bomber attacks against Israeli Bases, cities, and concentrations would have made a difference.

Rediculous post. The moment the Soviets engaged in heavy bombing of cities the US would have done likewise. These wars simply made Israel stronger as a military and technological power. And they have the education and motivation to achieve that. Many Arab countries are now being sensible as is Israel in engaging in cooperation. The common foe of Iran is helping.
