In short, the video tells you "do you want to play a piano song in kalimba? Well, swap the piano notes in the kalimba and that's it! Everyone already knows that, the idea is to know how to adapt it, transpose it, accompaniments, it gives much to be desired.
Thank You For This! I have a lot of Korean songs and worship songs that are really modern and not done yet on kalimba and now I can start making tabs for it! This helps a lot since I have NO music inclination. Thank you again!
This is extremely helpful! I wanted to play the intro to an anime however most of the covers were by piano. This video made it so I could play the intro to my favourite anime! Thanks! :)
Soo for me there was that underrated anime which had a super beautiful ost that no one ever played neither in piano or kalimba, the ost was played with a piano so I tried with an online piano keyboard to figure out the notes, after I did it really successfully since the ost was easy, I thought 'what if I tried the same notes in kalimba?" I tried it and it was really gooooddd but I was super dumb and never gave this trick the attention it deserved, I liked your method and I'm glad that I found your video, playing kalimba would become much easier because of you 💞💞
Found this video a bit late. I somewhat figured it out on my own and was fun. Will still save a link to this to share with anyone else facing the same issue. Great job explaining things! 👍
I have two favourite songs I want to learn on kalimba so bad ("Clara?" and "The life of Sunday" - both by Murray Gold), but unfortunately I'm not able to figure this out, no matter the tutorial 🙈 Thank you so much for the amazing video tho, maybe one day!
thanks for the feedback! I usually use insTuner on my old iphone. But if I'm on android, I use daTuner. but yeah that one is definitely not my first choice
I'm no expert at that, but I found 2 videos that might be helpful. 1. This is done by googling the key and chords of the song ruclips.net/video/MUsUVjf3I7w/видео.html 2. This is by using piano sheet ruclips.net/video/pmryAI-DOOM/видео.html There are also some paid services that can convert songs into kalimba tabs. I tried getting 2 Kalimba tabs converted from STL Kalimba (facebook.com/imcamerica/) each song costs around $2 if I'm not mistaken. Payment is done via PayPal Hope this helps!
Ok so the song uses black keys which are C# and F#. Keys that need to be tuned on your kalimba: ⚪ Tune up C to C# (1 and 1• on kalimba) ⚪ Tune up F to F# (4 on kalimba) On the tutorial, the player uses the 3rd octave too right (C3-B3) so usually in those cases, I'll play it on the higher octave. For example, if it's C4 on tutorial I'll change it to C5. If it's C3, I'll change it to C4. Let me know if you have more questions! I'm not sure if you can understand what I'm trying to clarify haha
@@Maenichie heyyy i just got back after busy sched, would u mind to tell if what key in the kalimba im going to save? like in F, what note/key should i use? 4 or 4* ?
@@vonfrederickatienza9350 hello! Personally I just use the same notation assigned to the note. Example: C - 1, D - 2, E - 3, F - 4 and so on. I make a note first at the beginning of the document to remember which key to tune: - F to F# (4) - F• to F#• (4•) It looks cleaner than writing down 4# or 4#• Edit: maybe i answered your question wrongly haha. Ok so the difference between 4 and 4* is just the pitch. 4* sounds higher. You can see the difference in the piano tutorial when they play F on the 4th octave or F on the 5th octave. If it's F then it's 4 else it's 4* Does this answers what you're asking? 🤔
Heya! I can't promise that I'll do it soon as I have other commitments. But will definitely put that song under my request list :) If you have questions to ask about the song feel free to contact me on Instagram though!

Can I ask if some of the song don't have a piano tutorial how to make kalimba tabs?
I'm no expert at that, but I found 2 videos that might be helpful.

Can you learn Strobe by DeadMau5 please
So what to tune if Black keys on piano?
It depends on the song. If you give me the link to the piano tutorial that you're trying to make tabs from, I can help you to see what key is that.

How about the black notes? :(
You can tune your kalimba to fit the black note. Let me know if you have an example piano tutorial so I can take a look at it
How about black notes?? huhu im kinda confuse
Any easy piano tutorial song link that you want to know? I'll explain a part of it.
