- Gelb Music's Jordan Stone demos the top 5 Dunlop Cry Baby Wah Wah pedals that we currently have here at Gelb Music. We love the Cry Baby Wah Wah pedals but the question comes up "what do they all sound like and what is the difference between each". We took our top 5 Dunlop pedals, hooked them up in row and ran through this quick demo so you can hear the difference of each pedal. Have questions, contact us and be sure to stop by our site www.gelbmusic.com
Only a guy with shoes like that would make a video like this.
no info on amp or guitar. a useless video...
5 Wah's in a row. Kirk Hammet just came
but not his pedal
😂😂😂
69th like
Loved the sound of the first one.
What is the name of the firts
Me too
@@stepdevitoyoutube7343 Clyde McCoy, a trumpet player
I think the 1st wah sounds the best.
Yes, with a large margin.
First one has the best sound. No doubts!
definitely #1 !

those sex offender 7s tho
Got a crybaby classic today & love it! I have an original 70s Jen Crybaby Super but it’s getting to old & valuable to use all the time.
The classic has a warmer, richer, more vocal & ‘vowely’ sound compared to the standard crybaby. This is due to the Italian made Fasel inductor which gives that more nasal tone.
I also tried the vox v847a and the v846hw - the 847 is brighter, thinner with a harsher treble. The v846hw was very similar and warmer like the classic but didn’t sound $100 better than the classic even though it’s hand wired.
Be sure to check out our latest wah shoot out (13 wahs). ruclips.net/video/zq3Q5gpjoso/видео.html
I think Dunlop has way too many signature wahs, just buy the original and be yourself yup!
Yet there is no Eric Clapton Signature CryBaby 🤔
reason I'm here I want to know what differentiates them and if it's just a little knob adjusting
it's no big deal the regular one and you're set ....
The firstone that you played rules!! Thanks!!
I'd like to see a blind test with these. How many could tell the difference between them all. I'm guessing..........not too many.
+Don Walker Great idea. We'll add that to our next video.
not that hard
nobody place with their ears anymore so i guess only 0.00001% of the people would be able to tell the diff
That's why they don't like blind tests.Because,500 bucks Epiphone sounds for many better than 5000 dolars Gibson.Nowdays is important to have the best on the paper, not in the reality..
5 wahs, I only can imagine how big was the tonesucking)
They are true bypass
Thanks!! I love my early 80s green FASEL JEN serviced by the fantastic Stu Castledine. These late JENs are a bit more gainy and wide-range sounding than earlier examples (dif transistors). They show more lows and highs; in a way, rather different to my other wah (Roger Mayer Red Lion). Both great! Stock Dunlops are okay although not as nice as other (more expensive) options.
The first one has a nice warn tone. After that they start sounding thinner.
The first is the best for me, I like smooth sound.
crank the amp, blast the distortion then open them all up!! XDDDD
With respects, I think there was a ton of tone-suck due to not using a buffer or switcher. That's why after the first two wahs, they gradually sound worse. From my experience in playing all 5, the MC404 sounds the best.
right!? i know just using ONE wah SUCKS your tone, which can be OK< if you play a Marshall 50 or 100 watt. But, 5 pedals in a row would have to ROB the guts of your sound. i don't quite get how some of these pedal boards have umpteen pedals on them. When I plug STRAIGHT into the Marshall, it's a totally different tone and power. any stompboxes suck your tone, but the Cry Baby is the worst culprit of all. IMO..
@@Livengoodproject absolutely, man. I own both the Slash and the MC404 and while I love both, the CAE is better. Here, I liked the Slash better, which is weird. There's all kinds of weird stuff that happens when you have a long daisy chain. The CAE also has true bypass so that might explain why the Slash had a richer tone in this demo, when it typically doesn't. The best way to demo is to record all the parts separately, with raw audio and splice the different pedals back to back for a comparison. That is if an AB switcher is unavailable.
@@thetribalist6923 Right on... so you have the CAE.. with the 20db boost on, is there a noticeable volume boost? especially for the money the CAE appears to be a no-brainer. I've been wanting to get one for a while, now there's not much point coz no gigs for at least a couple more months.. Also, i'm wondering if i could lose the OD pedal by utilizing the CAE boost (with or without the wah) thanks,
@@Livengoodproject it makes a huge difference in volume on the front of an amp. For my red channel in my 6505+, it just adds gain, not volume. I actually rarely use it, but it's nice to have.
I loved the sound of the MC-404
Clyde MCcoy 0:48
Classic 1:42
MC 404: Fasel Yellow 2:24 Fasel Red: 3:03
Sure I can hear some differences but it makes no difference to my brain's appreciation of just a wah effect. Plus I hear no difference a pickup or amp settings won't cover. I would care about sweep but even there I can control that in the foot I'd think (not sure). But nice review nonetheless, thanks.
JUST STRAIGHT BABY 💫No More Colors Buttons Needed
I think the best way to test a Wah Wah is through a Marshall cranked up loud then you can see how well the it handles noise and tone because they all do react differently to my experience
wah slash is the best!!!
SLASH IS THE BEAST OF THE BEAST
That was an awesome review ! Thanks :)
I think the classic is the best.
+William Reiner It's really warm, eh?
Cry Baby Classic sounds the best, but slash wah is too much beautifull.
is the MT WAH as good if not better than the original Dunlop wah, explain asap, thank you, Jeffrey
Kyle Gass?
The custom shop pedal sounds Trower'ish . ✨🎸🚀🏅
I have a Kirk Crybaby wah pedal. And i love the thing to death, but id like to see a comparison of some of these wahs to the new crybaby mini
To hear the difference you need to play same tune on all of them, same rhythm, same notes..I find regular, original Cry Baby(No.2) the best.Because it's original crispy/treble sound of 60'and 70's used by many famous artists in songs we love. You can make Slash,Zakk..and I don't know what else, add hundreds of sounds and possibilities on it,but then,it's not wah anymore but music effect pedal..
I have a real old CB about 30 years old. It's the only I need.
the first one sounds great
Those the most dad shoes i have ever seen
First and slash
The slash wah sounds best to me, great wah but i sold it 'Cause of the 18v ....
I know have that one too, the sc-95.
However i think the red one sounds better-
great video thank you
last one has lil extra flavor
Hello. I have the Dunlop GCB95FW Fuzz Wah. Ever heard of it? I contacted Dunlop. They have zero info on it. I tried to sell it on Reverb but no luck. Decided to keep it because it must be worth something in years to come. Any experience with it?
Mc404 sounds GREAT!the red tpp
BEST WAH WAH
The Slash wah is obviously just a talk box replacement. Doesn't even sound like a wah imho.
The second one is best. More chicka. Didn't like the Slash one much at all.
you could spend the first reference sequence wha ???
thanks!
Turn on subtitles.. Thank me later lol
Haha
You're my hero.
yeah!
I love how the Clyde McCoy says "how to play right now"
haha :)
That looks like Kirk Hammet's rig ..5 wah pedals in-line 🤣
Damn Kirk Hammett collection or what?
What was the name of the first one?
Clyde McCoy - CM95
Nearly cried
Clyde or Slash....just my opinion though.
Clyde because of sound, and because you get lost in the the controls of the Slash.
The first one.
are you based in Minnesota
Hey it's my birthday today can I have one wah pedal?
Dunlop Clyde McCoy by Cry Baby CM95
first wah is the best~!!
Dude nice try but there are so many other wahs ! The EVH , Bonamassa, buddy Guy , learn your products !! The Friedman Wah and Xotic wah are great contenders ! Where’s the overdrive ??
The first one is the Cry Baby Clyde McCoy
Clyde McCoy
No Cantrell?
+iconoclast-o- matic We are working on the 2015 video that has many more Wahs...... we'll try to get all the Wah's we can get our hands on. It's coming very soon!
That slash wah sounds like the shit I just took
😍
What is the name of first pedal ? Thanks

+hoven veliký Clyde McCoy model
slash sounds like shit
custom shop blase
classic good
regular just ok
clyde mccoy was best
Bob Saturday what?? Slash sounds like shit?😂😂
Crybabys are not true bypass.. one is affecting the tone of the other in this comparison
they all sound the same to me.
What model is the 1 st wah?
Javier García It's the clyde McCoy crybaby!
Thanks!!
first one.
they all blow chunks
His voice kind of sounds like Jhon Frusciante
If you put them in chain you have terrific tone sucking
For fair wah comparison watch my chanael !
Input impedance of some wahs shown here is 600KOhm so if you put 3 in chain you have 200K instead of 1000K of tupical amp.
result is significant drop in highs
Slash won
this guy sounds lol Kyle gas
what are those!!!!!!!
second is a toy....
Jordan:
Nice Demo! Each wah sounds nice in its own way. I think rig and playing are the final arbiters in pedal choice.
Question: How do you think the new Dunlop Clyde McCoy compares with the 2004 re-issue of the Vox/Dunlop Clyde McCoy (V848), especially as regards the electronics inside?
stratowhore The Clyde is a Stereotye Wah sound from Dunlop . Slightly richer but not throatier that the Crybaby Classic . Good harmonics .
Great Handle!
Hands down the 3rd one Crybaby Classic sounded the best! It was more richer and warmer!
It’s the best Wah of all time. It had the classic Hendrix tone
Crybaby Classic with Fassel inductor all the way
I love the dark warm tone of the classic. I'm very happy with mine
Subtitles: "This has the basil inductor".
I'm seeing all those pedals plugged into each other and first thing I want to ask is each and every one of those "true bypass"?
I never understood the hype of the Custom Audio
With a cranked amp, in a band mix the difference would be negligible. But the price differences???……….. hey who’s fooling who ?🙃
classic
The cry baby classic is the best Wah ever. The 535q is great too is you like to tweak
Comparison ? Man you must play the same on every Wah Wah ! That I can her really a difference !
Where is Robin Trower when you need Him? Great video!
The first one , and the Slash wah sounds the best
If thats the distortion from the slash wha..well..the next step is one with another pot. But with delay. So itll be wha-distortion-delay. Perfect combo
whats the deal with the special adapter is it the only adapter it fits o?n So i can't use my Daisy chain for my was was pedal?
What are those?!
+Jarda Music Its Wah Wah pedals, effectpedal for guitars :) Jimi Hendrix stuff
What kind of pedal is... is cry baby .... and the serial of the first one?
Hi, The first pedal is: Clyde McCoy Cry Baby Wah - Jim Dunlop. For more info please call us at (650) 365-8878
oh thanks!
All these sounds are in the the Behringer Hellbabe wah
what r those
what is the diference model between the first and second one?
The first pedal is the Clyde McCoy which tries to replicate the original wah (you can read up about the history on Dunlop's website). Dunlop created their own version of the Halo Inductor to give this pedal it's tone. The second pedal is a GCB95 "Cry Baby" and that pedal uses a red fasel inductor. The parts just give a different sound to the "voice" of the wah - Hope it helps!
What model is the first one??

I bought one of these and returned it the same day. Not only does the pedal not seem like it's pushing the switch down... you can't really tell when it is or isn't... but it didn't matter, because manually pushing the switch with the fingers exposed that the switch didn't do anything anyway... brand new and the switch didn't work
