wow. Thank you so much. You made this 2 years ago and I just found Milanote yesterday. I thought I knew what it could do but... nope! Thanks so much for opening my eyes to this tool and its possibilities. Love that you brought your personal life in to it too as we're planning some trips and what a neat way to add web sites, etc for those "must see" places! To collaborate with my husband on where we will go! How fun. But most excited to use this for my podcast and collaborating with my team in its creation. Thanks again.
in under 20 mins, you've helped me uplevel places where I was floundering with Milanote. I'm combining it with Trello (more formal, linear Kanban-style boards) to boost my organization and creative ide capture to new levels. Amazing presentation, thanks 1M!
I'm a month in and have gotten into some robust workflows with Milanote. I feel it'll be a game changer for me and how organize and ideate my work. I'm very organized and structured with documents and notes, but this is leveling it up to accomodate my natural creative brain and need for visualization. It's my new favorite thing aside from this mango juice I've found lol
me too! The minute I saw their layout of a podcast and segments, etc I was SO excited! That's exactly what I needed to get my creative brain a little better expressed!
Incredible tutorial, thanks for putting this masterclass together Stephen! I downloaded Milanote months ago, but I haven't put it fully into practice yet. Having this insight into your process will definitely help.
Thank you thank you thank you!! I've been looking for a way to organize myself and came across this tool but had NO IDEA how to approach it. Great video!
I love milanote as you said it's very visual. I am making a quilt jacket and needed to create a mood board and see what finishes match and the colours complemented each other. Milanote has helped loads. and it's so easy to save images from other places too. I found it watching a girl who made her own plywood furniture and she used milanote to plan the project
This is exactly what I was looking for as linear notes don't work for me either. My thought processes are very scattered and over the place and I had never found an app or method where I could have it all there without missing anything, organized and in a flexible non linear way that I can move around and adapt to my needs. Thanks.
Sweetness! Just discovered this tool today and came to youtube to learn more about it. Thanks for sharing how you work with this! I can see myself using it for a lot of things, though I am starting to find it hard to know which tool/app to use for which part of my process. Hopefully at a minimum this can help me combine all of my random notes and idea into one place. I wonder if I can attach and play back audio memos that I have created.
I would recommend making sure the tools fit your process and not the other way around. I love the fluidity and free flowing workflow of Milanote but that is for how I work.
I'm dropping you 100,000 likes (even if they don't show up)!!!! your tutorials are top class. Downloaded Milanote and already putting it to good use. Thanks a million Stephen :))))))
Nice. I wonder if you would consider sharing a series of your empty templates? There's obviously a ton of value there for those (like me) who are starting out and trying to build an effective structure for everything. I'm (also) one of those people with hundreds (maybe thousands?) of voice and note recordings in a variety of places, including Evernote - and just not making any use of them as they are so out of sight.
Hi Stephen, nice video! Looks like you're getting some good use out of Milanote :) Did you know you can create your own templates? If you right click on your template board, choose "Convert to template". Then when you create a new board you can find it under "More templates... > Your custom templates" in the popup that shows up. Cheers
Thanks. I've been trying to morph my engineer brain into using my creativity and Milanote was a tool (after trying Evernote and other linear things you've mentioned) that I wanted to commit to working with for my current projects. I needed an intro and this was perfect. Thanks again for taking the time. Peace. P.S. Did you finish the "How to get back control and scale yourself" episode? That's exactly what I've realized I need to do recently.
Glad I could help! I find many of these tools you can use any you want are actually hard to use in the beginning as your are almost paralyzed by the possibilities.
Great demo, it’s such an incredible app. Just wondering what the options are when it comes to sharing. Can I embed images, notes, audio files, video files, and more, and then export the whole thing in one single file that contains all the stuff for someone who doesn’t have Milanote.
It is a cloud app so it doesn't use a file or I can't do what you are describing. You can export a PDF or you can invite them to also use the board which they can do with a free version of an account
Milanote looks nice and clean but also has less features than miro. Miro looks more like a traditional but boring whiteboard. Miro has many features and a more generously free plan but Milanote speaks more to the creative in me. Man that's not easy.
You lost me at subscription. Too many "subscription" model companies suck you in and when you have committed resources to their format, they sell out to the vulture capitalists who extort the users or provide suboptimal service tin order to profit from their investment. This is especially bad for creatives who work in teams. You could lose all your work . Now if this were a user owned subscription model, where the user made the rules and the company could not be sold without a 2/3 consent of users, and no person had more than one vote, I could be interested in that.

I've definitely been searching for something non-linear like this. My future productivity thanks you and Milanote!
I hoper it helps. This was a game-changer for me.
Been using Milanote for a little while now and I love it so much! I'm curious, do you still use it?
@@tee1209 yes I do!

Lots of Milanote tutorials out there. And this is the best video organize tutorial for me. Thanks, Steph!!
This is so good. Ive had Milanote for months and love it but have been floundering in it. I love your consistent way of organizing. Thank you.
Cool specs. I want a pair. Loved the explanation too. Really clear and concise. 👍
Incredible tutorial, thanks for putting this masterclass together Stephen!

Thank You Steven! Now, I'm not afraid to organize all my works on milanote.
Thanks for this. It was really great to see your workflow and real-world examples of how this tool can be used.
Amazing video! Thank you for share that
Thanks and hope it helped!

Perfect video!!👏👏

Thank you, that was really helpful.
Such a simple and practical tutorial. I appreciate it much. So helpful.
Such a great help to me as a first time Milanote user!
We need more behind the scenes workflows. I use a milanote for 2 years now - in totally different way and it's flat, as I see now. Thanks a lot.
Thanks, this was just the tutorial I was looking for
Thanks for the great recommendation and your tips and tricks. Seems very exciting.
I use it every day so hope it helps you too
love your talk about to download this app now! also i just subscribed! LOL
happy that you made this, I'm also astounded that no one talks about this app
Glad it helped!
Thank you. I still checking this out.
HI, 100s of thanks for your recmmandation. MILANOTE fits my mindflow crystal clearly.
Wonderful! So glad it helped.
Thanks for this walkthrough. I heard about this from Film Riot. Watching your video, I can see how I can use it for screenplays, etc. Thumbs up!
Glad it was helpful!
Excellent dive into Milanote. Thank you!
Thank you too!

@@StephenGates It’s been over 8 months and Milanote is one of my TOP tools. I love it!
great tutorial !! thanks
Doood! New sub, I need this in my life! Saved templates is literally the key to shaving time off of productivity! Thank you for this review 🙏
Thanks for the sub!
I needed this thank you

Glenn Allen - Thank you for the tip - this is the reason I like to read the comments!
No worries, glad I could help 😊
thank you for the video, such a great masterclass, very inspiring and really great examples
Glad you enjoyed it!
Cheers for this.
new app for me, this is super helpful to get started, so helpful as a video producer
Thanks so much
Thank you sir for the effort!
Most welcome!
Love the video! The 720p limit did make it very difficult to see more of the fine details in the clip though.
1: Creativity, ideation, concepting 2. Digital sticky notes

how can I get the templates to pop up? When I open up a new board they don't automatically pop up.

can someone say how to enter the board pls?
Great video!
Nice!
Good stuff! Thank you!
Glad you liked it!
Can I have multiple 'windows' open to so I can look and copy paste info from other project files?
Thanks!
Are RAW IDEAS in the full template form or are they just a one line idea and no structure inside the cards?
How did you get the 'Choose a Template' box appear in the right hand bottom corner? Thanks
If you create a new board and then open it you will see it show up automatically
Wow! 0 dislikes. You deserve it!
Thanks! 😃
Such a great intro, thank you!!!
Glad you like it!
I like to see this like a modular, open world note maker :)
Key to show templates and undo things
When sharing project for comments & collaboration- does everyone making comments need to have a milanote account?
They don't. There are a number of different ways you can share it.
So can anybody tell me what's missing from the free version?
It limits how many notes you can create
@@StephenGates thanks.
Fluent Forms is the best form till I Adz know!! try out!!
I am undecided between Milanote and miro. Is there someone who can give me some advice which I should use?
Milanote looks nice and clean but also has less features than miro. Miro looks more like a traditional but boring whiteboard. Miro has many features and a more generously free plan but Milanote speaks more to the creative in me.
Man that's not easy.
I get it. I think it comes down to how you like to work and what features help you.
After watching this video, look like I can upgrade to a Milanote subscription and replace Evernote & Clickup plus save a few dollars. Thanks
I went through the same process and never looked back.
This was a fantastic video, thank you- excited to have found Milanot thanks to @muchelleb
Thanks so much.
Is this the web app or the Mac app?
This is the Mac app but the web is pretty close to this.
You lost me at subscription. Too many "subscription" model companies suck you in and when you have committed resources to their format, they sell out to the vulture capitalists who extort the users or provide suboptimal service tin order to profit from their investment.

I am choosing this over obsidian, obsidian wants to damage my brain with complexities

I like the idea of it. but the price is too much for asians.
$10 a month is too much...
I think Miro is better than milanote.
Tell us more. I'm still checking this app out. Why? And how do I find Miro? Do share.
