My husband died in my car while I was driving. He had a blood clot hit his heart. We were married for 19 years. I loved him dearly. He was my best friend. God, my church, family and friends got me through. I am thankful for the scars. I am closer to God now because of my husband's death. I am thankful for the scars!

This was my first time hearing this song and it is exactly what I said at church last night. I have stage 4 cancer and I wouldn't trade it for anything because it shot me straight into the arms of Jesus. He is using my story in some pretty amazing ways. And what I've learned through all of this is priceless. I'm not the same anymore and I'm thankful for ALL of my scars❤️
I almost killed myself. But in fact, I was already dead. I was apart from God and I was broken. That's where I found Jesus. He resurrected my heart and my soul. He showed me who I really am; who He is. To me, my scars used to be a reminder of the addiction and the pain I was trying to leave behind. Now, they're a symbol of God's love and God's power. His love that Jesus would take away all the pain and guilt and shame of my scars, and His power to give me life. It's a life I could never imagine; to live in the protection of His never-ending love. I think we all have them on the inside. Even the scars of Jesus were near his organs (what was most vital to him, as a human). I do agree with you about heaven, and do join you in thanks to God for lifting us up and carrying us. However, I would like to add my own take, which I believe is scriptural. I feel God has made an escape for you from constant stress (and striving). It pretty much includes just showing up (nothing to do). God has provided a weekly rest for Jesus' followers. It's actually a commandment, so that we would not ever have to make do without it, or make excuses to 'skip it', and keep working. Without the sabbath, we can get to just feeling like we never can 'just be'. "Just be" in his presence, and in the presence of true family (those who do the will of Jesus' father), in order to cease from the day to day striving we all have succumbed to-- physically and emotionally.
This is a song of spiritual maturity, it’s hard to sing this from your heart and believe in the words when you're going through it. However after God is done carrying you through the process it brings you to this point of appreciation for what you’ve been through.

My mom told me a homeless man had open heart surgery and he did not survive they are going to play this song at his funeral and and I think that no one would have ever known about him if he wasn't brave enough to go through with it,I wish he was able to survive he would have been the greatest,nicest,and bravest person I would know of and I really do hope he has a better life in heaven. I listened to this song recently on the radeo, it touched my heart, and woke me up from my sleep 😀 and I recognize the song, because I sang it to GOD 😄 once and I realized a year ago, that every song i have sang to God, out loud or inside of me, it would help others, so In the spirit of God I released them ALL, every song I have ever sang in the spirit to everyone to sing. And they're finding THEM in the spirit even now it's coming together. I prayed this a year ago. I believe Satan asked the Lord to sift me believing this would crush my faith and it did at first. But God never let me go, drew me closer, healed my wounds, and gave me a story. There is only 1 who can heal our scars and brokenness. "OUR CREATOR, OUR HEAVENLY FATHER." He makes beauty from our ashes. My many scars have molded me into a better version of me and bring me closer to the Lord.

This song is so beautiful! I went through a miscarriage in December of last year, it was my first pregnancy ever. I was so broken and in a dark place and I turned to God and in Feb of this year I found out I was pregnant again, in May of this year I found out it was a boy, and this month on September 11th at 4:23pm I had my little rainbow baby 💙 (he was 5 weeks early) he had to be put in the NICU I didn't even get to see him for the first 12 hours of his life all I had was a little picture they took for me and when I finally got to see him he had breathing tubes and was on a CPAP machine and covered in wires but I didn't see those things I saw my beautiful son and he was smiling and sticking his tongue out, he was breathing the best he could and was happy to be alive! and it just warmed my heart to see this little baby smile through everything he went through, to see his strength. He was truly my rock through the whole time him and I were both in the hospital. Sunday will be a week since he's been out of the hospital and home with me and my husband and he couldn't be happier💙 thank you God for these smiles and these scars because my life would not be such a blessing without them.

My husband died in my car while I was driving. He had a blood clot hit his heart. We were married for 19 years. I loved him dearly. He was my best friend. This is my story. Thankful that Jesus loved me enough to not let me go when I was at my weakest. When I have already given up on myself, Jesus was still hanging on to me.
This was my first time hearing this song and it is exactly what I said at church last night. I have stage 4 cancer and I wouldn't trade it for anything because it shot me straight into the arms of Jesus. He is using my story in some pretty amazing ways. That's where I found Jesus. He resurrected my heart and my soul. He showed me who I really am; who He is.
To me, my scars used to be a reminder of the addiction and the pain I was trying to leave behind.
Now, they're a symbol of God's love and God's power. His love that Jesus would take away all the pain and guilt and shame of my scars, and His power to give me life. It's a life I could never imagine; to live in the protection of His never-ending love.
He is my light, my strength, my song.
I'm glad your still here to see God's mercy and love.. Please never give up.. He loves you every storm has an end.. I'm struggling too.. But, you just got to keep your focus on GOD he will never give up on you..

My scars are on the inside. Sometimes I feel like there's no escape to my constant stress. Sometimes I wish I could relax for once with nothing I have to do or am forcing myself to do. Thank you Lord for always bringing me up when I'm down! Heaven will be my escape from my pain and stress in life!
I think we all have them on the inside. Even the scars of Jesus were near his organs (what was most vital to him, as a human). I do agree with you about heaven, and do join you in thanks to God for lifting us up and carrying us. However, I would like to add my own take, which I believe is scriptural. I feel God has made an escape for you from constant stress (and striving). It pretty much includes just showing up (nothing to do). God has provided a weekly rest for Jesus' followers. It's actually a commandment, so that we would not ever have to make do without it, or make excuses to 'skip it', and keep working. Without the sabbath, we can get to just feeling like we never can 'just be'. "Just be" in his presence, and in the presence of true family (those who do the will of Jesus' father), in order to cease from the day to day striving we all have succumbed to-- physically and emotionally.
This is a song of spiritual maturity, it’s hard to sing this from your heart and believe in the words when you're going through it. However after God is done carrying you through the process it brings you to this point of appreciation for what you’ve been through.

I started cutting in 6th grade. I never did it for attention or to kill myself. No one really knows I've done it. But Jesus Christ has saved me from myself. I am a child of the Lord God. I haven't cut since Thanksgiving.

I've lost 3 daughters and never thought I'd make it through. All of it has brought me into a closer walk with God than I ever thought possible. I believe Satan asked the Lord to sift me believing this would crush my faith and it did at first. But God never let me go, drew me closer, healed my wounds, and gave me a story. When I heard this song I loved it and I went and checked the comments and I saw everybody’s comments about this song and I noticed that sometime, even though you don’t notice it, but it could help anyone and when I was in the middle of reading al of the comments I started to cry because of what other people were commenting and until that day I started to really notice what was going on in life and I don’t now if you already now, but I was actually born nosing the Lord but I never really understood what it was really meant for, but after this song that I was hearing it was beautiful and amazing and I actually now know what the Lord has done for me in my life.

I am in awe to the words of this beautiful song, this is my son-in-law favorite song, he was a non believer and cancer brought him to our Lord, today it was played with a video clip of him going through his cancer journey and others not a dry eye was in church today. I’m thankful he was saved.

I love this song so much cause I relate to it so much when I was 5 years old I actually got depression because of my sister she used to hate me cause she didn't want a sister she wanted a brother she always hit me took my stuff she even burned me with hot water all the time then we moved from New Mexico to Texas with my grandparents I had depression from 5 to 9 years old I didn't know it at the time but I always cried hated myself and always asked myself why know one likes me but then like 3 years ago my sister did a confirmation which Is just something you do for church and from that day on she was nice she never did any of the stuff she used to and by 5 months of her being nice I realized I had over come depression I am now 12 years old am a model and a RUclipsr all because of God he was the only reason I never resulted to suicide or anything major EDIT FROM 2020 I am now the happiest I ever been and regret ever saying I don’t want to be here thank you Jesus

One of the undertones of this song is deep gratitude. He knew what it was like to walk under fire and the scars are a reminder how far he's come; from where he was to where he is now with the Lord. The prodigal son in Luke had no idea how good he had it because he never knew how bad off he could've been. How can you know just how blessed you are when you don't even know the evil you were delivered from? That's where lukewarmness begins.

This song is so beautiful! I went through a miscarriage in December of last year, it was my first pregnancy ever. I was so broken and in a dark place and I turned to God and in Feb of this year I found out I was pregnant again, in May of this year I found out it was a boy, and this month on September 11th at 4:23pm I had my little rainbow baby 💙 (he was 5 weeks early) he had to be put in the NICU I didn't even get to see him for the first 12 hours of his life all I had was a little picture they took for me and when I finally got to see him he had breathing tubes and was on a CPAP machine and covered in wires but I didn't see those things I saw my beautiful son and he was smiling and sticking his tongue out, he was breathing the best he could and was happy to be alive! and it just warmed my heart to see this little baby smile through everything he went through, to see his strength. He was truly my rock through the whole time him and I were both in the hospital. Sunday will be a week since he's been out of the hospital and home with me and my husband and he couldn't be happier💙 thank you God for these smiles and these scars because my life would not be such a blessing without them.
