this song reminds me of me so much because i was adopted when i was 4 years old and later i had 3 brain surgries and lost part of my brain and my church and so many other churches all around the world were praying and i almost died and i was only 11 years old and i heard this song i started to feel the big scar across my head where they cut open to find a tumor spreading really fast but i will always have this scar that is just the way god wanted me god is so good all the time and all the time god is good now 2019 i am 16 a jr in high school i love god

This is my story. Thankful that Jesus loved me enough to not let me go when I was at my weakest. When I have already given up on myself, Jesus was still hanging on to me.
My husband died in my car while I was driving. He had a blood clot hit his heart. We were married for 19 years. I loved him dearly. He was my best friend. God, my church, family and friends got me through. I am thankful for the scars. I am closer to God now because of my husband's death. I am thankful for the scars!

Same here! ❤ God used all the negative thoughts I had in my head, when I felt there wasn't any reason to live but that all I did was hurt others. And He told me He loved me and wasn't going to make me stay like that. I also got baptized in 2021 because of that! Wow, God is so good!
This was my first time hearing this song and it is exactly what I said at church last night. I have stage 4 cancer and I wouldn't trade it for anything because it shot me straight into the arms of Jesus. He is using my story in some pretty amazing ways. And what I've learned through all of this is priceless. I'm not the same anymore and I'm thankful for ALL of my scars❤️

This song brought me to tears. I first heard it this morning on the way to band camp. I have been suicidal for, a very long time. When I heard my brokeness brought me to you, I broke down. The lyrics hit me. I just recently the other day, redoveted (i forget how it's spelled) my life back to Christ, after being celtic pagan for years and practicing magic. I realized the meaning of this song earlier today. And this song means so much to me.
Your comment really touched my heart as my mother is pagan. She has tried for years to get me to stray away from God. I just wish she knew his love like I do. I pray that you will always be blessed and I know that God loves you.

Wow. What a message! As a person with some deep emotional trauma in my past, this songs speaks to me on a totally new level, but I believe that everyone has “scars”: bad decisions, unfortunate events, etc. that leave lasting effects on people’s lives. The message this song drives home is not only true, but motivating to let God use our scars to tell others about His scars (the Gospel). This is 100% one of the top 5 best messages I’ve ever heard in a song before. Wow, well done.
This is a song of spiritual maturity, it’s hard to sing this from your heart and believe in the words when you're going through it. However after God is done carrying you through the process it brings you to this point of appreciation for what you’ve been through.

My scars are on the inside. Sometimes I feel like there's no escape to my constant stress. Sometimes I wish I could relax for once with nothing I have to do or am forcing myself to do. Thank you Lord for always bringing me up when I'm down! Heaven will be my escape from my pain and stress in life!
I think we all have them on the inside. Even the scars of Jesus were near his organs (what was most vital to him, as a human). I do agree with you about heaven, and do join you in thanks to God for lifting us up and carrying us. However, I would like to add my own take, which I believe is scriptural. I feel God has made an escape for you from constant stress (and striving). It pretty much includes just showing up (nothing to do). God has provided a weekly rest for Jesus' followers. It's actually a commandment, so that we would not ever have to make do without it, or make excuses to 'skip it', and keep working. Without the sabbath, we can get to just feeling like we never can 'just be'. "Just be" in his presence, and in the presence of true family (those who do the will of Jesus' father), in order to cease from the day to day striving we all have succumbed to-- physically and emotionally.

I almost killed myself. But in fact, I was already dead. I was apart from God and I was broken.
That's where I found Jesus. He resurrected my heart and my soul. He showed me who I really am; who He is.
To me, my scars used to be a reminder of the addiction and the pain I was trying to leave behind.
Now, they're a symbol of God's love and God's power. His love that Jesus would take away all the pain and guilt and shame of my scars, and His power to give me life. It's a life I could never imagine; to live in the protection of His never-ending love.
He is my light, my strength, my song.
I'm glad your still here to see God's mercy and love.. Please never give up.. He loves you every storm has an end.. I'm struggling too.. But, you just got to keep your focus on GOD he will never give up on you..

I listened to this song recently on the radeo, it touched my heart, and woke me up from my sleep 😀 and I recognize the song, because I sang it to GOD 😄 once and I realized a year ago, that every song i have sang to God, out loud or inside of me, it would help others, so In the spirit of God I released them ALL, every song I have ever sang in the spirit to everyone to sing. And they're finding THEM in the spirit even now it's coming together.
I prayed this a year ago. And I'm glad I did, when I said I can see, I can see, I was lifting my hands up, and my head lifted, I seen Jesus on the cross, & I seen it, as if every part of me was all pouring out, it's amazing, God is amazing. I was holding onto the songs for so long, because I thought one day I will sing songs, but then I realized, that I can write new songs then, and sing them with Jesus, and lead others to him as he uses me. Right now, people need these songs, and they need Jesus. In my brokenness I wrote this, and sang it to GOD, and now it will help others. I am truely amazed and humbled by my God 🙏
As children of God, we all have scars but nothing compared to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Without those scars, salvation would not be possible.

this song really is such a great reminder of what Christ did for us on the cross and it just reminds me of the night I truly gave my life to Christ and it was the greatest night of my life! My mom told me a homeless man had open heart surgery and he did not survive they are going to play this song at his funeral and and I think that no one would have ever known about him if he wasn't brave enough to go through with it,I wish he was able to survive he would have been the greatest,nicest,and bravest person I would know of and I really do hope he has a better life in heaven. Ive had a long life for the age I have. I always went to church and always sang and tried to feel the love of Jecus but there was always something in the way. Through all the scars and blood from my young childhood I always thought that I was doing something. Till I heard this song. I've lost 3 daughters and never thought I'd make it through. All of it has brought me into a closer walk with God than I ever thought possible. I believe Satan asked the Lord to sift me believing this would crush my faith and it did at first. But God never let me go, drew me closer, healed my wounds, and gave me a story. When I heard this song I loved it and I went and checked the comments and I saw everybody’s comments about this song and I noticed that sometime, even though you don’t notice it, but it could help anyone and when I was in the middle of reading al of the comments I started to cry because of what other people were commenting and until that day I started to really notice what was going on in life and I don’t now if you already now, but I was actually born nosing the Lord but I never really understood what it was really meant for, but after this song that I was hearing it was beautiful and amazing and I actually now know what the Lord has done for me in my life.

I've had recurrent prayers be answered immediately in the way I asked of the lord. If your ever in a bind or going through things God is there for you. God only knows what we have been through. This song is so meaningful to me. I was abused emotionally as a child. Everyday I heard “you’re stupid” “you’re worthless” “no one loves you” My heart was broken at such a young age. Now as an adult I carry a lot of mental scars but not a day goes by that God doesn’t remind me how much He loves me. I didn’t know Jesus when I was a child but when I turned 20 years old after running away from Him my whole life I ran straight into the arms of Jesus and I felt the love I always wanted without that pain I don’t think I would’ve found my savior I’m so thankful for my scars my heart is complete now😭❤️
I am in awe to the words of this beautiful song, this is my son-in-law favorite song, he was a non believer and cancer brought him to our Lord, today it was played with a video clip of him going through his cancer journey and others not a dry eye was in church today. I’m thankful he was saved.

Dear God, I wake up everyday during this COVID19 pandemic and I stressed a little more. I worried about all the small unnecessary things of this mundane life. I forget how You have brought me this far, carried me through the most challenging times of life and protecting me always. I forget that I am already delivered by the salvation of the cross. I pray that I will always be thankful and to acknowledge your plans for me.

This song is so beautiful! I went through a miscarriage in December of last year, it was my first pregnancy ever. I was so broken and in a dark place and I turned to God and in Feb of this year I found out I was pregnant again, in May of this year I found out it was a boy, and this month on September 11th at 4:23pm I had my little rainbow baby 💙 (he was 5 weeks early) he had to be put in the NICU I didn't even get to see him for the first 12 hours of his life all I had was a little picture they took for me and when I finally got to see him he had breathing tubes and was on a CPAP machine and covered in wires but I didn't see those things I saw my beautiful son and he was smiling and sticking his tongue out, he was breathing the best he could and was happy to be alive! and it just warmed my heart to see this little baby smile through everything he went through, to see his strength. He was truly my rock through the whole time him and I were both in the hospital. Sunday will be a week since he's been out of the hospital and home with me and my husband and he couldn't be happier💙 thank you God for these smiles and these scars because my life would not be such a blessing without them.
