Making this video broo It really helpt me out 👊🏽 Thank you for Making this most valuable video too show us how this works. Was struggling myself recently with removing the plugs from Cil 2 and 3
Seen so many guys do it like this, totally not practical , takes 5 minutes to use a tube socket on a knuckle joint with a ratchet , done it numerous times even when the engine was hot.... And I've never trained as a mechanic , just hink logical and practical .
Thanks! Great video. I have a Seat Leon 1.6 with the same engine and may need to replace the coil and ignition wires. What a lot of things to remove for a simple job. I noticed that the secondary air pump is blocking access to the ignition coil, but did not see how the bracket holding the pump was mounted.
I have a 2.0 gasoline engine + gas, and there are additional cables everywhere blocking access to the screws of the air pump cover. Can I remove the screws from the throttle side and the upper screws of the intake manifold, or do I need to find a way to access the air pump cover? I need to replace the spark plugs and wires.... Sory for my english, it is not my native language
Hey cool video, I went through something like this to change a leaking heater hose on my vw caddy with the same 2k engine but didn't have to take of the intake manifold. Is there no manifold gasket?
The intake manifold doesn't have a gasket but rather a rubber rings. The rubber rings are on the intake manifold itself. They can be replaced with new ones if they don't seal anymore. Have a nice day.
It can be done without removing the aspiration, just the "cold air pump", and I have LPG and I'm not a mechanic. Just have the spark plug instrument and curved pliers. I'm watching this video because I'll have to do it again, after 5 years. (And he didn't put oil or copper paste on the new spark plugs)
Hi, first of all, thank you for the video. I have a question for you: because of I have the same problem on my car, do you know why 4th spark it's so dark? I think could be the blow by problem, what do you think? Thank you.
Ciao ho lo stesso motore, a freddo non tiene il minimo e se cammino va in protezione pero certe volte va benissimo come se niente fosse, secondo te potrebbe essere una bobina? La macchina ovviamente ha la spua motore accesa
Do get to the PVC which is under the manifold, I guess you do the same process to get access to it? It's under the 'center' manifold. Perhaps you know?
Hi, can you share the part number on the ngk disturbutor?? I replaced plug and wire still got rough idle, I am planing to replace it with ngk disturbutor
I think that most of the guys who watched this video have audi a3 1.6 petrol .. I have a question please .. how many miles do you travel with a full tank, I do around a maximum of 250 miles I have no idea why ?? My car is automatic
There is no need to try so hard, there are already pliers to remove the spark plug sockets and the spark plug wrench in your hand is enough. It was enough to just open the engine cover and the spark plugs are visible anyway, the sockets are removed with the pliers, the spark plugs are removed with the magnetic wrench and put back on, that's all, there is no need to disassemble everything, it's a 10-15 minute job.
Wow what a stuff around I found this video as I just got one of these cars and was thinking of doing the work my self but stuff that lol to much work for me and stuffing around I’ll just pay my mechanic lol I’m to lazy and looks to complicated for me I’m in Australia and only know how to work on old holden commodores lol

13 mm socket, and i think 5 or 7 mm hex screw. Use wd-40 on the hex screws before, because they round easily

what is the component that was removed from the vehicle at 2:00 ? This part is not installed in my Golf 4 with the same 1.6 engine.
The component that was removed is the secondary air pump.
I stand to be corrected but i think its only on auto cars
Great vidéo 👍🏼

@@Oppong21 Cool I may as well try and get some new o rings before I take it off! Thanks bro, you have yourself a tip top day too.

Thank you very much for the video
2:53 - 3:06 can you explain what needs to be done thx
I was reducing the fuel pressure on the fuel line, after that I can disconnect fuel line from the fuel rail.
@@Oppong21 thank you, great how to 👍🏼
Nice bro 👍👌
Thanks bro 👍

What is the thing that you take out in the first place. Like a básquet case. I bought an audi without it and i dont known what it is.

Is it mandatory the ignition module to be changed also, not only the ignition coil itself?
Ignition coil only

Why didn't you blow out the spark plug sockets before removing??? This is the most necessary
