This morning, I asked myself how I "serve" the Lord. I don't get out much, so I thought, "Well, Sara, perhaps you are serving Him by educating yourself about who/what God is, and secondly by being as kind and forgiving as I can possibly be towards others. I pray that qualifies. I am grateful for these videos which unpack each verse of the Psalms.Thank you.

I see a flow. Step back. After about a dozen calls for praise where psalm 100 a high point and Psalms 100 is famous for the call to praise and followed by a commitment to praise in 101. And then a discordant note psalm 102 is a cry of someone whose souls is crushed as if you sometimes first need to weep before praising and he begins to preach truth to self in psalm 103. Oh bless the lord oh my soul He continues to preach truth to self in 104 and the hallelujahs rise. The first hallelujahs in the Bible.
Psalm 104 hallelujah for gods work in creation
Psalm 105 hallelujah for God’s faithfulness in history
Psalm 106 hallelujah said twice regarding despite God’s faithfulness a history of unfaithfulness of man and book 4 of psalms ends on that note
Book 5 will have 20 more hallelujah’s as God makes a way home. It will have the highest number of use of Yahweh in the psalms of ascent in the Bible. Hurray for Yahweh hallelujah followed by Yahweh like a shift in the types of Jesus nutrients in the orchestra.
Another low point we law down our harps in baby long and cannot sing in ps 137 then David picks up his and sings his heart out in psalm 138 and even all kings will sing in psalm 138 and the psalms end with 5 psalms and 2 more hallelujahs each. The first two psalms including the work of Christ. Open blind eyes heal broken hearted setting the captives free.
I see a flow like that following psalm 100
Amen🙏
Ame🎉n
I like how you reference Charles Spurgeon & C S Lewis
You make the statement that it is OK for Christians not to gather on rare occasions, when prevented. Please provide biblical reference. Thanks
In Romans chapter one Paul was prevented from coming also in first Corinth chapter 4 Paul would come if the Lord wills
The point of not being able to worship or gather corporately is a reality for many people due to illness or incarceration or work obligations
But I certainly didn’t agree with the COVID restrictions on worship although our church did remote only for a couple months last year
God bless
@@johnhurley2435 a thoughtful response, thank you
