- I came across this little station a few years back as I was driving through the area and thought it would be worth a return visit. On this morning I had a bit of jet lag so I was up early and decided to head out to the station for a morning walk. It's technically late-summer, but it feels like a sauna even at such an early hour. The insects and birds don't seem to mind and their sounds make quite a nice morning symphony. I hope you enjoy it : )

It's kind of silly to say that I like railways and train stations in small towns, perhaps because the railways take me somewhere to discover and explore, and stations invite me to get off and visit. The first shot of the train station in the early morning light and the last shot an hour or more later bring a smile. Thank you.
I feel the same way about train stations big and small, a place where people cross paths on their adventures, filled with hope and opportunity. This one in particular is moody with it's small village charm and unmanned entrance. I also found it interesting that there were houses all around it.
Amazing 🤩 The sound of the crickets 🦗 is so calming and uplifting at the same time. Like purifying my head and body. Can you imagine to sleep surrounded by this sound at night during the summer? This must be heaven 🥰
It is so comforting to see the small station buildings and the bicycles of the station workmen. It brings a lovely feeling seeing the warm glow of the lamplight, makes the imagination sore to comforting heights. 💕

15 degrees is perfect, though I'm not sure the insects would enjoy the cool temps. It's still in the mid 20s to low 30s here, though there are signs things are cooling off with a few typhoons blowing through.
@@ambient_exploration Yes, Vancouver gets cool ocean breezes from the north around late September. I lived in Japan for 10 years and I really enjoyed your early morning walk with the lovely train station. But the countryside always makes me feel lonely for some reason.

What is the burning for
I'm not sure. I walked by the day before and it was burning, so it's going very slowly whatever it is. My guess is that it's sawdust covering something smoldering underneath but I have no idea why.

It can happen. The material can build up friction and heat from the machines and will smolder and burn but never really catch fire.
