I relapsed after 7+ years off of opiates, had no clue what xylazine was, did a small test dose and woke up unable to feel or use my leg from the knee down. It was days before I could walk again.
Hospital couldn't help me they thought i was lying and assumed I just wanted an iv put in my arm or caused the bump on my swollen foot myself, they knew nothing of xylazine.
Here i am weeks later and my foot is still not 100% and still hurts. Thank God I think it's slowly healing and I don't see a wound but still have pain/numbness and limited mobility

A friend of mine just got her arm amputated from xylazine. I had a wound in my hip that I could fit my fist into and was down almost to the bone for about a year that I just kept injecting into because I had no other option. I couldn’t get into any rehabs because of the open wound. THANK GOD for Gaudenzia House in Coal Township. They took me in even with the wound. It took two weeks of agony until I could even start to eat. I lost 25 lbs during that process. The only thing that helped was Lucemyra for the xylazine and fentanyl withdrawal. I had to wait SEVEN days before I was able to take Subutex without going into precipitated withdrawal (I waited five days once and still went into precip). I’m happy to say that I’m almost 4 months sober, my wound is nearly all the way healed. (I used a wet dressing with Dakins solution and it healed very quickly - even quicker than the doctor projected it would.) I never want to experience what xylazine and fentanyl does to my body and my mind again.

It’s interesting looking at the varying presentation data in the U.S. and here in England. Nothing negative of course both are highly effective and I really enjoyed your presentation it’s just nice to compare. The scientist in me. I studied Analytical Chemistry as a degree and then went on to my MPH. Thank you for the information as well because it’s truly vital.
    Q. What are your views when offering correct intravenous injection classes for People with addiction to intravenous drugs? Especially ethics vs health prevention? Thank you again I really enjoyed this video!

Thank you so much for this important.. information . Xylazine has now reached the street drug supply in California. I have a friend who did not know that some pills she took had Fent and Xylazine. She ended up with a horrible wound that got infected bad on her arm. She was not injecting but snorting. The problem is that every hospital she has gone to have not been able to help her. She tried telling them about xylazine, but nobody's heard about it here, and as soon as she mentions drugs it's like the doctors stop listening to what she is trying to tell them. So her wound has gotten really bad. And now it seems like the wound has become antibiotic resistant because she's been given 9 different antibiotics and none worked. Any advice you can offer would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for the awesome work you guys do!!!!

I hope this is not too late, but if your friend is not responding to Oral Antibiotics and the wound is either not improving or still getting worse they ABSOLUTELY NEED IV ANTIBIOTICS IN A HOSPITAL SETTING. Go with them. Ideally get the most respectable person, a parent, pastor, teacher, cop, anyone that is in their family or that you know and GO IN WITH THEM. It will help Dr's be a little less abrasive and cruel which is how they are when you present at an ER. They're cruel on purpose to drug users so many just don't go. Tell your dr to take 20 seconds to google "Xylazine wound" then compare it to your friends wound. Even someone as stupid as a Dr. should be able to tell that they are the same fucking thing. GOOOD LUCK! - A underpaid Harm Reduction worker who debrides wounds in the field every day... im not a dr but i know more than they do usually.

Antibiotics won’t work for the wounds because they’re not infected usually. She needs to see a wound care specialist. I had the same kind of wound. I used Dakins solution on a wet dressing and as long as I was sober it healed quickly.

@hexpulseplsxgainz3117 I used it on a gauze. I got the half strength bottle and used gauze and a bandage and cloth tape to protect the skin around the area. I dipped the gauze into the Dakins and then squeezed out the extra, just enough so the gauze is still wet. Then packed the wound with the gauze and covered it up for the entire day. I was told to keep it covered always except when showering (you can use soap and water to clean it when in the shower). Just change the gauze once a day. Dakins solution really helps speed up the healing process. It smells like a chlorine pool but it really helps a lot.

Do people know that you do not have to inject to get these wounds? I got one and i never inject never have ever. I sniff whatever I use and the last bag I did theres no doubt it was tranq and I ended up with what was diagnosed as cellulitus but it felt like an awful sunburn that even peeled just like a sunburn about 10 days later. Its been 14 days today and has finally healed. But im guessing only bc i went to the er right away and got strong antibiotics. Now im too scared to use. I want to i really want to but i wont. Just hope being scared straight lasts

A large dose of magic mushrooms helped end my obsession with getting high. Look into it.
