      You say it's an app, but it looks like you are on a computer in this demonstration. Is there also a web version?

    • @Saltstrong

      @@sunshinecycling It's a progressive web app which means it can be used on computers, tablets, or phones via the web while also performing the same functions as traditional apps.

    The relief feature is a game changer. You could actually locate hidden structure using just a GPS on your phone. A fish finder will definitely help but if you're able to locate choice areas on your laptop it's a pretty good bet the fish will be there.

    Ok, I know this is about the new app, but at the beginning, it appears the fish are caught with slow pitch jigs. When are you guys - Matt, Luke, Justin ..., going to do a mini- or full course on slow pitch jigging??

    Any plans to add a layer to the app that can show where the Blue water is in the Gulf or chlorophyll levels on a 3 day composite chats instead of just the daily? Too much cloud coverage giving an incomplete picture… need a composite.

      Our Smart Fishing app does work with Mac. You will need to go to dashboard.saltstrong.com, then log in to your Insider account, click on the Smart Fishing Spots, then use the menu buttons on the left side of the screen to add the layers for Smart Spots, artificial reefs, use other layers or tools. If you need further assistance getting logged in or finding this information in the app, please email our Customer Support Team at fish@saltstrong.com

      @@Saltstrong thanks for reaching back to me. I am able to do all of that however when I use the layers on the map for relief shading its not zooming in enough to show the structures on the map as I zoom in a few clicks on the water and it blacks out the screen. Not sue what I am doing wrong but only shows the structure way offshore thats not in the typical area for most anglers and not showing anything before in the normal offshore range like around 60-80 miles and up to the coast.

    I live off the gulf near st marks area and the closest spot with even a 100 feet of water I can find is 27 miles which is simply to far for my boat mostly because its old and im not sure i trust my motor to go that far any tips?

    • @Saltstrong
      @Saltstrong  Год назад +1

      Don't risk a trip out too far and cause mechanical issues on your boat. We suggest finding spots closer to you (artificial reefs, wrecks, or similar structure) that hold the fish you're looking for. Have you used our Smart Fishing Spots platform? We have a feature that reveals the reefs and wrecks in your area in seconds

    Honestly, there is some good content mixed in here. But this whole channel comes off as a super desperate low budget infomercial. I just can't get on board because the whole vibe is like leisure suited car salesmen telling me why I'm stupid for not giving them my money.
