The contrast and reflection of and between the brutal in men coexisting with the great and amazing in women and his self reflection really gives a vulnerable look and insight into what is rick and the brand. It gives the viewer an outlet to think and reflect upon themself and what makes them up in the human and the animalistic parts of the human. The filosofic dimentions that fashion can express is truly amazing.
I think rick is enormous source of light and optimism; his work is a profound joy. I love the fact that the venice settings in particular had this beautiful autobiographical element; the fact that those places are his literal home and, psychologically, the places are established as a part of who he is, so this setting is a presentation of his personal quotidian/personal lens through his days on earth
although I am still struggling to grasp the ideas of his collections from more than 10 years ago, considering his vast universe of multi-faceted reflection of human culture, his modesty and humility is really adorable.

Kind of shocked Vogue is using an interviewer of this... quality... I'd prefer to watch an adult interview Rick Owens, a more seasoned editor or someone that has been around a long time, preferably past their green highlights phase.

That's why the aesthetics of the past couple seasons are similar. He uses recycled cotton, he uses solar energy to power his factories and all of rick packaging is recycled too.
