- I get requests to notarize these handwritten, or typed letters quite often. Always check with your Secretary of State or the NNA to be sure you are in alignment with the law, but here is how these requests are typically handled.
Thank you, I'm sitting here trying to triple check to make sure I'm making the proper decisions about something that seems so simple, but can become easily overcomplicated without the proper knowledge. Thank you for your time.
Thank You, I get requests to notarize inmate letters all the time, very useful information. 🙏
Ad Mira question, how does this work? How are you paid and how my do you charge?
Thank you Bill glad you made this video for my future present lol. I just received my NNA NSA Certification however I am getting calls for general Notary work and wanted to know the correct way to notarize this type of work. I just ordered some loose Acknowledgement Certificates along with my Stamp and Journal. this is very helpful.
Just did one of these yesterday! Lady called from my Yelp ad! Easy $45 in 15 minutes!
+Janessa West, that's Awesome!

Notary Coach how do I get a notarized letter from my job to give to my apartment I'm trying to move in to, proof of income
Hi Bill 🤗 where can I download these documents? Thank you.
Hello, Bill! In this specific case, would it be ok to staple the loose Notarial Certificate and then use an (inkless) Embosser on both pages, after completing the Certificate with your Official Ink Seal Stamp, to make it a little more certain to others that it belongs to the written document? I appreciate your thoughts on this, since there is nothing clear about it in the A.R.S. or AZ S.O.S. Rules/Manual. Thank you! #GodsLove
For a handwritten letter regarding an agreement between 2 individuals on transferring the car title once the car is paid off. Basically person 1 took out a car under his name, person 2 is agreeing to give car payments until paid off. Finally person 1 is agreeing to transfer title to person 2. What certificate would I use? I would have to get both parties signatures or be ok for only one? Thanks
Hi Bill, I am a florida notary. What if a person in California types a document/contract and ask for a person in florida to acknowledge...? Can I notarize this?
Happy Friday!
+Jazzy One , thanks!
I totally just botched this today . I filled out my name and info signed and then added my stamp to a handwritten letter . She was just trying to get her license in another state she was an older woman , without documents but she had an expired license in which I was able to verify her identity . The problem was I totally forgot about the notary wording i.e the attachment . Do you think her document will be rejected ?
I get these a lot as well and simply treat them as affidavits and then explain the two types of notarizations to the signer and have them choose one. easy $50 a pop!
I'm in Texas.. I thought the most I could charge is $6 for the seal..I would love to make more
Your state does nt have a fixed price for an acknowledgement or jurat or are you charging for drive time as well?

Hey coach, how do I get a certificate of dishonor when party does not answer to me, my personal address.
Do you stamp every letter
Say if you have 3 or 4 letters?
How do you determinate If you need to attach an acknowledgement or a jurat?
Yes he didn’t explain that. And a lot of notaries don’t know this, so I think that’s why they just stamp it. But an acknowledgment confirms the identity of the signer who acknowledges that they have signed the record. An acknowledgment does not require that a record be signed in the Notary's presence. Jurat notarizations are required for transactions where the signer must swear to the content of the document, such as all affidavits and pleadings in court. Therefore, an oath must be given to the signer. It is a certification on an affidavit declaring when, where and before whom it was sworn. However, jurat notarizations do not prove a document is true, legal, valid or enforceable. I know this is late late but I hope this helps someone.
How would you know whether to use a jurat or acknowledgement in that scenario?
You explain to the signer, and they choose. Most likely they'll choose an acknowledgement.
Good video
How would you even know what kind of loose certificate to attach to the letter if it didn't have any notarial wording?
Hey John, in most states, you, as the Notary, don't actually get to decide or recommend that. Its considered legal advice if you do. The signer must decide which they want. You can describe the difference, and they make the choice.
I feel dumb asking this question. If you attach a loose acknowledgment, do you stamp the document AND the acknowledgement or only acknowledgment?
Hey Michael, in most cases, I would say this is a state-specific question and you should check with the Secretary of State. But, logically, which can be dangerous in this business, you only stamp the attachment. Sometimes the document will have a notary block acknowledgement on it as well, but you are attaching a different one to make sure legal language is correct. You would still only stamp the attachmement. Again, better to check in with the State to make sure you are in compliance.
Notary Coach thank you bill. Just did my 2nd loan signing on Monday, FHA refi. Can’t wait to start marketing to escrow offices.
Michael Garza , awesome! Congratulations!
Hey Mary. You better better better do it
How about notarizing a doctors letter from another country the recipient using said letter for immigration
How would we know if we need to attach an acknowledgment or a jurat certificate ? Do we ask the signer?
Yes, exactly. As the Notary Public, you do not want to advise them of which certificate they will need. That is Unauthorized Practice of Law in some cases. Instead, describe the notarial acts at your disposal in your state, typically an acknowledgment or a jurat, and ask them which they would prefer. If they are sending the document to someone else, like an agency, they may need to call that receiving party and ask them what they want.
@@NotaryCoach Thanks for responding!
Is there a way of forwarding my notarized signature to my mother to sign documents overseas? All the documents are in another language and I don’t want to pay for the translation.
The signature is in regards to my fathers estate, my mother wants to pay off prior debts.
I need to somehow provide my signature to them.
Thank you
My signature will be giving permission to remove me from the estate and the money will go to my mother
Hello @Yasmin, I think you might consider a virtual Notarization. As long as the party that will receive the documents can/will accept what is called Remote Online Notarization on their documents, you can do this via webcam and technology. Our friends at www.cyberizeit.com can help. At the very least, you can get some professional guidance on what may or may not work.
SO YOU NOTARIZE THE LETTER OR YOUR ACKNOWLEDGEMENT?
Acknowledgment, and on most certificates there is an optional block where you can fill out describing the document that you are notarizing such as “Power of Attorney” and any other identifying information. This way your acknowledgment can’t be attached to any other document. Hope this helps...
For a handwritten letter to be notarized what would be the fee?
Hey Joe, this is just standard, normal notary work, so whatever your state designates as a notary fee would be where you start for pricing.
Ya boi tryna collect sum enhe
A lady is asking me to notarized a letter saying her brother paid her some money he borrowed from her, how can I notarized it?

Did you get an answer to this question? I’m curious how you did it.
