I'm a French guy who discovered Kanye when I was 17, with "Late Registration". He's actually been my entryway to Hip-Hop and ultimately Jazz. I've been a fan since then. BUT, being French also mean I never really listened to Drake. He's never been a big name here, except for "Hotline Bling" and a few others. I know I'm biased because I've been listening to Kanye for more than a decade now, while I haven't really listened to Drake. But from what I heard today, I have the feeling his songs, overall, sound a bit the same... There's an undeniable musicality to Kanye's song that puts him miles ahead Drake for me. But again, not my culture, no my music growing up, doesn't bear the same influence here.
