    So civil servants are asking for more money from the government when inflation is rampant and debt at an all time high. Very sensible.

      Your right on the surface but economics is a much more complicated topic than that. Were seeing the levels of inflation we are across the west because the money supply in each area was increased to such a degree devaluing the whole. Wages have to rise to some degree although I do agree they shouldn't be rising much in the public sector until we start to see the private sector recover. There's only one group of people who have and are benefitting from the destructive behaviour we've seen over the last few years. They should be being targeted

      Inflation goes up why, you think? Because they get more pay?

    • @flemlion13
      @flemlion13 Год назад +1

      Private sector pay increases have an impact on inflation when the businesses have to increase their prices. When public sector pay increases, what prices go up? None really, so the government is lying about public sector pay driving inflation.

      @@billcarson818 because when there’s more money in the economy people are less careful with it and will try to outbid someone else for goods or services thus causing prices to increase further, it’s only part of the problem though.
      Maybe people should tighten their belts and be more frugal and spend less, when demand goes down so does inflation (again only part of the problem)
      Throwing more money at people won’t fix the issue though it will make it worse.
      Simple economics you learn in like 2nd year high school in Australia, back in the 90’s god knows what they are teaching kids these days.

      @@dimitrivforvictory271 Inflation would increase if they put more currency within the economy, thus devaluing money. The government should get the tens of billions of pounds they've lost (majority of it by the current PM), back and properly tax the record breaking profits of energy companies.
      Although I ain't an expert of any sort, I hopefully think this would be the right call.

      Shut up, read something other than the printed propoganda of rich media barons who are mates of the tory party. Its about safety and working conditions we are not being forced back to the stone age to make a few greedy tits richer.
