So happy you made this video! I had been wondering for so long if I needed an annealer immediately. It was nice to hear that there are alternatives to start with until I can get one!
important note on the glasses - there are a LOT of fakes out there. don't skimp. Edit: PLEASE do not use compressed gas lighters for lighting torches. many, many, MANY people have permanent disfiguration from these exploding. this is exactly what "flint spark torch igniters" are made for, and usually cost less than $5.
YAYY IM EARLYY. Alao jayne i LOVE your determination and hard work. No matter how much your projects fail i love that you smile and try again. You're my biggest inspiration. I LOVE this and findersfeeders i wish nothing but the best for you. Love your content SOOO MUCH
HIya Trejayne, I have just started in glass and have one of those bead kits from Tuffnell. I have been doing this in my shed. Only one door and after a couple of evenings I can feel my chest is tight. Would that 'VENTS Hydroponic ventilation kit' be suitable for a 10x12 shed? I don't want to go all out if this is just a phase. I do like to experiment with all crafts. ps thanks for sharing video. It is/was helpful
Great video, I love your creations on Tik Tok. I was wondering if you know why is it called lamp working? Is it British nomenclature? I would have never known this was about glass work from the title 😅
I took lampworking classes in the 90s in the US that were called just that, so no, it’s not British nomenclature. The torches are called lampworking torches, the art is called lampworking, and when you buy handmade beads made with these torches, they’re literally called ‘lampwork beads’.

And as long as the lighter has a flint spark igniter you can keep using to light the torch it after it’s run out of gas.

Do you have a basic kiln use video? That's what I'm needing to learn

I am very interested in learning and would like to know what exactly are the “cooling beads” in the biscuit tray? @trejayne
