Wonderful guide as always friend.
Other helpful tips for di
Against Ninja his Slash special is easily countered when called or if expecting a 2nd slash by DI-ing towards the slash at the same angle. When normally your away Di leaves you directly next to him a towards Di keeps you in the same spot he hit you from which normally requires him to waste meter or another slash or a cancel.
For Cowboys who like to air combo DI above them as their vertical attacks are lacking and are hard to answer without air options.
For Robots (I'll tell my own weaknesses) on the ground pushing away and or down versus a ton of our options can lead to oki pressure that is hard to deny. Try to maintain as much back and up di as possible to keep out of reach for extended combos. Only time this isn't viable is if frames disadvantage leads to laser connection.
Wizard is tricky to give tips on other then di down as YOMIL said and to be wary of di that leads into bounce combos against thunderballs
Much appreciated.
DI down also does wonders against Quick Slash, if you're close enough to the ground it can even leave you plus (i think your aerial hitstun gets cancelled by landing? not sure).
@@horacehorace6793 I believe that's correct.
Thank you very much for a detailed explanation of the “cope wheel”
Been getting tired of telling people what DI is, now I can just send them this.
Please.
i love that your outro is literally just "get good"
I hadn't thought of it that way, but you are correct.
insane production it looks so dam good the black and white
Edit: lol didnt know SDI existed
Yeah, I wanted to stand out with my colors. Also, a lot of new players don't know about sdi, there's no way to really learn of it naturally.
Great choice of music, it makes me want to put the money on the table
Thanks, but I have no idea what that means.
wonderful guide, thank you for making this!
Of course.
This channel is a blessing, keep up the good work man
Thank you
need to send this to the poor guy who got hit by 4 try catches in a row bc they had no di against me lmao
awesome video, definitely gonna send this to my friend who's fairly new to the game.
Appreciated
Dayum!
Love the detailed information and editing!!!🔥🔥🔥
Thanks
Ah yes, the COPE wheel
It's only cope if you don't know how to use it
this video quality is fire, keep it up 👍
Thanks
I love this series so much. Thank you for your service o7
=)
Also 1 thing that is good to know that sometimes very rarly when hitbox hits opponent(midcombo), u might have turn just right when the projectile connects and opponent CAN actually influence the direction they are send from that projectile(so prediction may look incorrect if u and opponent have different di selected to them).
Pretty rare but can lead to niche knowledge checks and noobs complaining about wrong predictions smh
Hmm, I'm not familiar.
@@YomiLearn He's basically saying that sometimes the predictions wont account for a projectile hitting the opponent between your current and next turn*
*I think
@@horacehorace6793 I'm not so sure.
finally
Yeah, sorry for the delay. Had some complications in both production and in my personal life.
@@YomiLearn its okay man
*this is a really good guide-
*but i can't help to think that this is probably one of the elder's "LECTURE" taunts.
Glad you feel that way
1:26: "you must lock in your input before knockback is applied"
Could you elaborate on this? Is the position of the DI wheel when you lock in what matters or can you change it after?
The position of your DI when you lock in is what matters.
If you change it afterwards it will not be applied until you lock it in on your next opportunity.
I have 70hrs and didn't know they also use smash di
It's basically unknowable unless you play out fights 1 frame at a time or look at the game files
@@YomiLearn absolutely brilliant thank you
Even though DI seemed really simple once I learned about it, this gide just provides so much more info & tips that otherwise I would've never thought about
I always thought that DI'ng away was just the best thing to do always, but doing it *into* the oponent seems so smart
Thank you m8, really oponed my eyes there, can't wait for more
Thanks a lot. I went out of my way this time to provide examples of various uses.
Can you do a video on sadness I've played thr game for so long and have no clue how it works
Maybe. I don't know how it works either, so I'd have to find out first.
@@YomiLearnalr
Ah yes the cope wheel
MY EYES
Too much white?
@@YomiLearn I was watching this at like 3 am in bed, but yeah to much white, most people dont like having a completely white screen even if its day
@@MayaUnknownn that's fair
One time I did this in real life
