How great to see Asal making every effort to get to the ball, playing brilliant squash, and humbly celebrating victory. It genuinely seems that he is trying to turn around his behaviour and win over fans, referees and opponents. Squash needs ambassadors, not children.

Yeah but to the end he started pushing and blocking again. That's he only way he can win.

he was around 20-years-old when people made their opinion on him. he's still a child at 22. ambassador of squash at 22 lol. I don't know about you but most 20-21 year olds are not mature.

It's good to see Asal's behaviour has improved over time. There's no doubting just how good he is. The power of his movement is just ridiculous. It's amazing how long he can maintain it for, especially in a 5 setter against Elias!

Glad to see Asal win this time, clean and entertaining game. See Willstrip‘s tactic and his own powerful shot together. Glad to see the rise of a new legend!

I would still like to congratulate Asal for his effort to change the game, we can see it here at 4:02 he makes a winning shot and instead of taking the place and preventing the opponent from going towards the ball, we see that Let him jump on his legs to position himself directly and give access to the ball. I SAID BRAVO ASAL CONTINUES LIKE THAT!

Agreed to all former comments. Asal is such a competent player that it's very enjoyable to see him play when the focus is on playing. Tough for the Puma, two amazing squash players.

I am liking this Asal. Pure skills, without the bs wrapping. It seemed like even Elias appreciated it. I think now we have a proper legend in the making.

What a kill shot by Asal in the opening rally... Diagonally from the back of the court into the front court knick... That takes amazing power... Like him or not, the young man is certainly talented.

With behavior like this, ASAL will finally get the success and recognition he deserves. He finally left all that negativity and aggression behind him, and now he's just focused on being the best player of his generation. Well done Mostafa!

Based on the highlights alone, his behavior and sportsmanship have improved a lot. I’ve never questioned his talent and sheer fierceness, but his shenanigans and overall attitude made it impossible to watch his matches without cringing / getting angry - especially the blocking and hand grabbing incidents. Not this time. Good job, and I hope this will last. If he keeps doing that, he’ll eventually be able to consistently beat even Ali Farag - who still seems to be efficient in neutralizing his play style.

Did anyone see the entire match? The PSA has a vested interest in hiding Asal's antics as it's giving the game a bad name. Was the full game as clean and non-contentious as the highlights suggest?
