Yes you can use wifi instead of gsm module and even you can use lora modules. And yes we can get the information of soldiers without push button just we need to make few changes in the code.

Yes sir. I replaced +91XXXXXXXXXX with my phone number. I think some programing loop not executed properly.

How do you give power supply to sim900A module??
From a 12v 2amp power adapter

Check data sheet for your specific module.
Different module has different power specification.
The one I am using takes 12v 2amp
