- We spent 7 awesome days at the RIU Negril. This is a complete walking tour of the resort and their facilities. The staff are very friendly and the food menu is super awesome.

Thank you for your kind comments about the locals on the beach. I am a Jamaican living in the USA since 1982. The locals are trying to make a living like everyone else. Thanks for the tour of this hotel. I almost stayed at the one in Montego Bay about 10 years ago but I could not afford the high price then. God bless.

How is the jerk chicken? We were thinking of going to the riu palace, but I bit pricey, I don’t think we will be missing too much at the riu negril.

Just got back from a 2 week holiday here. Previously went to beaches sandals negril. This place was amazing....everyone bending over backwards to greet you and make sure you happy. Great holiday at the riu

We have booked to go back to this hotel for the fourth time in September the first time after the last holiday was cancelled in 2020 because of covid it was are 40th wedding anniversary in march so we thought we better celebrate it in a great way we have been to a few places in the world but since I have been retired we find this is the best place to cill and relax we are going back in April 2024

@@gamersman2 We had an amazing time at the resort . Really enjoyed the resort for sure will have to go back ,Staff are amazing food was good hotel was nice . Only complain i would have is the beach not that great but other then that everything was fine .

Does anyone know If Paul the singing barman is still there ? I last went Jamaica in 2012 and I remember he had an amazing voice. He made the holiday and hotel stay so memorable!
I doubt it. Someone else was talking about the same person and he’s no longer there.

In Toronto planing on staying 4 days there with my wife but I’m just checking out things
It’s a beautiful resort. We did some excursions too. Food is nice! One thing I didn’t like is that they don’t supply water bottles everyday as they should. I had to call them to get it.
@@travelznlifeI went to the one in Ocho Rios last year 2022, they restock the room every two days, not every day.
I will like to know how many months before arrival date should one make a booking to get a reasonable price.?
Normally we do out booking 8 months to a year in advance.
Do they sell cigars on the resort?
Hi, seen a number of people walking around with one but can’t say for sure. I did see locals selling it by the beach. Cheers!

We booked beginning of January and it was 1200$/person but the prices have gone up significantly

Hi, there is no club. There are nightly performances.
That wrist band looks like paper.... how does it stay on all week? Does it survive water?
Hi, it does stay on. If you ever loose it just go to felt. Desk and they’ll put a new one on.
Plastic? Clipped on or sticky?..... just seems crazy it would be coated paper

Is this an adult only resort
Absolutely not! My kids aged 9 and 4 had a blast. They have tons of activities for kids.
I thought Riu Montego Bay was adults only
And rui ocho Rios was family friendly?
This one is kids friendly.

If you’re princess don’t go in this resort ! Nothing to do beach has no sand ! Smells all over drugs and smoke from local sidewalk
Haha. We didn’t experience anything like that when we were there.
