- Before booking this five-star all-inclusive resort hotel in Negril Jamaica you may want to watch this video which takes you on a full, complete, and comprehensive tour of the property while providing a review of all it has to offer. There were some things about the property I loved others that may surprise you. Let's go see what this property in the heart of the Carrebbean on Bloody Bay Beach just down the road from Seven Mile Beach has to offer.

Me and my wife will be going back to the hotel in April from the U.K. for the fifth time since I retired i like snorkelling just of the beach and we love going to visit the beach huts and taking to the locals we have been to a few places around the world but we find Jamaica has becoming a second home to use and is just what we want from a holiday not to quite but if you want you can join in with the fun and games and the staff work hard to make you happy 😊
Agreed. I had a great time, and I think anyone who chooses this type of vacation will find Jamaica a great place to have fun.
Good review! We stayed at the Riu back in February and while I agree with you for the most part, I would beg to differ on at least one part. There are 4 buildings of rooms and if you are in the first or even second building ( closest to the lobby) then yes it's not too far of a walk from the lobby,entertainment and restaurant areas. However, if you are in the third or fourth building ,it can be a pretty good hike to get back to the lobby ,let alone the buffet dining room. Plus it is pretty dark when walking back to your room at night. Building 4 and the buffet dining area each at the far extremes of the property. Plus it can be even worse if you are staying on the second or third floors since there are NO elevators. We very much enjoyed the entertainment more than you did however Im sure that they rotate different types of it from time to time. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider it again if we were to return to Jamaica!
The video was well done. I just went there a week & a half ago for 3 nights & 4 days. It was a fantastic trip. I loved it. Everything you said was correct, except the internet service is good now.

was there last week. The internet sucked BIG TIME!!! The food was so-so... a little on the salty side. Drinks were ok, except for the cappuccino i always ask for from the sports bar with extra rum cream. Yummmmmm!!! Always leave a tip, dollar or two.... they appreciate that. Don't be like the brits lol

Are there many fish to see snorkelling just off the beach?
Yes, they are not at plentiful or as colorful, but there are there.
Question They sell weed on the beach but do people smoke on the beach? or anywhere around besides the cig smoking area?
Yes, you can buy marijuana from locals on the beach. However, I don’t believe they allow you to smoke marijuana openly on site. At least when I was there I didn’t see anyone openly smoking marijuana.
If am ready on the island and going strat to tge hotel from home what Tim am I accepted...am told the treatment is different....see that when am going straight from the airport to tge hotel it's fine even when the rooms aren't ready we still have acess
That’s one of the great things about this hotel. As soon as you walk through the door, the fun can begin.

Did you book the charter bus through the hotel or you found it on your own?
To be honest. I found the prices of the hotel expensive. You can book it on your own to save money but then you have to go out outside of the hotel which can be a little dicey. For me, I’m familiar with the Caribbean so leaving the hotel to book it was not a problem. I strongly recommend you have strong negotiation skills if you decide to do it on your own. You also have to be careful because people will take advantage of you.

Do they have a shuttle??
If you’re asking, do they have a shuttle from the airport to the hotel then the answer is yes. You can pay for a shuttle service that will not be limited to that hotel, but may service other hotels in addition to the RUI.

Yes, they have it.

I believe it is. However, I had a lot of liquor, but I didn’t try the wine. I can’t imagine they would charge for it unless you get a entire bottle but even then I don’t think they would charge.

Yes, there is. However, in my opinion, the overall Wi-Fi there is spotty at best.

That is true! There is a good amount of fluctuation with the Jamaican dollar compared to US currency, which is far more stable and valuable.
