The Jesus singers I liked back in the 70's I still like. I don't change. Larry Norman, Keith Green, Barry Mcguire, 2nd Chapter of Acts, Andre Crouch, etc.
Oh man, what can i say Phil Keaggy is a guitar master!!love this guy!!
There was an innocence, simplicity and directness about early "Jesus Music" that is unrivaled. I appreciate some great praise and worship music today, but these early songs could be "sung in the shower" as we say, so they had a way of inviting you to carry them with you through the day and become your own. Randy was a walking testament that God loved goofballs, but he had a heart that has touched many with his humor and his love.
Yes! It gives me chills! Stayed with me all these years.
R.I.P. Larry, you started it all.
The Hebrew writer tells us that "Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever"! Forty-five years this year now in Christ ~~ to hear and to know that these fellow followers of Christ, who brought such a richness to my early days in the Savior, continue in the faith of Jesus. Knowing that Christ is 'The King of Hearts' ~~ Amen! Amen!
I too am 45 this past August .... blessings !!!, Keith
Wow I still have all my Vinyls by these Brothers and Sisters from my teenage age years Saved 16/7/1975.
Still living and Evangelising for the Saviour at 63.
He still is a miracle working God.
The only difference now is God has given me a singing voice to praise Him.
I can put my records on a sing them word and track perfect even after all these years.
I was 6, remember this and all the songs back then. Can't wait to go home and just praise God!!!
I be beggin the radio stations to play songs from the 60s 70s 80s but nothing😢
I hear the same line up day in and day out😢
Glad I have this and tapes and memories.
This makes me so happy! Those beloved voices!
Loved Stonehill. Keaggy and Paul Clark need their own CCM Pioneer tributes as well... perhaps together as they used to tour together so much.
Making US Smile : D : D :D AWESOME !!!!! in JESUS Phil & Friend and Randy !!!! I LOVE YOU I LOVE YOU I LOVE YOU : D : D : D
Love all of these folks ; my musical & spiritual heroes ! 🙏🥰
Loved seeing John Thompson in the lineup!
Amen...The wayside and before that the Vague...... True Tunes Wheaton Illinois.
Memories of the days of the Calvary Chapel of Costa Mesa Tent concerts and at the Chapel (along with other places such as Hollywood Presbyterian Church's Salt Company and Howard Yim's The Fish were having people sharing their music before CCM became the model to hear Christian Music. Reminds me of the days when the film Time to Run came out, Godspell, Ralph Carmichael's "Come Together," Jamie Owens, Love Song, The Way, Debbie & Ernie, Keith Green and others were sharing.
Remember Disneyland's Night of Joy ?? Those were awesome. 😊
❤🎉😊
I was happy to see Larry Norman singing with Randy - tho I note among the "legends" listed he's not named. I shared 3 of Larry's songs with a messianic rabbi in Toronto I know, from RUclips, which were Six Sixty Six, Great American Novel and Right Here In America and his response was "wow this guy was prophetic"
That was video of Larry and Randy in the studio way back in the day. Those mentioned played/sang in this recent tribute version of the song, put together by Phil Keaggy. As you probably know, Larry died back in 2008.
@@joegraves6891 yes within one week the world lost Larry and Jeff Healey
Man I learned that song at summer camp in the early 1980's.
Our youth group used to sing this from time to time… and we referred to the song as “Randy!”
Someone would be playing guitar, we’d just sing, and someone would shout out, “Randy!” and we’d all just go into the song… man, life was something back then.
I love it, i love it, I love it, I love it!
I love it! I remember this from the movie Time to Run from about 1973 or 74. ❤
Thank you for this. Keep on rockin’ people need to hear.
I miss Larry so much.
Thank you for this.
I love seeing all these people today. I hope it is redone with more live footage and clear to the end of the song.
This is great! I can only add: I love you, Randy and Leslie.
I lowe you Phil is Poland!!! I lowe your music!Lowe Jesus Chrystus! Im you fans in Poland and Jesus! Sorry main english.👍👍✌
I love this! I found it too late to be a backer but I would love to have the vinyl when it's released.
Written and initially performed by Larry Norman (whom you see in the first photograph from the video), with Randy Stonehill singing backing vocals. From the album "In Another Land", a classic Christian album from the 1970's. Nice to see his music living on after his death, and Randy & Phil still performing after all these decades.
Randy wrote this song. Larry covered it.
Jesus loves you
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Awesome
Christianity is the religion of unconditional love for fellow Trinitarians and condemnation of everyone else.

See Jonathan kleck on this is it Be4 the fire guys
You mean Larry Norman tribute...
Very nice and nostalgic and Larry had some influence in me following Jesus. but Im sorry Larry never faced up to him having a son by my precious friend Jenny in Australia in 1989. I dont know where it goes from here but I assure you it is not astalgic in our precious God and saviours eyes. Hopefully Larry came to repentance, because it was so sad for many of us in Australia, particular for my precious friend Jenny who went to be with the Lord six years ago, who was told it may have been better if she had sex with Elvis. i hope and pray Larry came to his senses but history tells me he did not.
