Damian is a super human - i can´t even. How can someone be so handsome, so educated, warm, charismatic, well-spoken and effortless in all of it? Mind. blown. and crushing hard. 😀

Yeah in Germany we usually learn both American and British English in school (although this can differ in every school) and I guess we also consume a lot of media from both the US and the UK so that also has an influence
I also can't quite figure it out, but I think he learned British in school and spent 4 years at college in NYC, so maybe that's where the mix comes from?
@@Julsi400 I noticed that when he speaks in German he drops alot of phrases in English. Is that typical or is that just Damian?

The series was so good 6 episodes were not enough we need a s2 but the casting was very good so was the chemistry between them

I think the best thing about this season was that they went with a good pace. No dragging or racing the script. Keeps the spectator interested throughout.
Damian just speakes so eloquently. His choice of words is top tier. Und der accent bringt mein herz lowkey zum schmelzen- nevermind the hair

I'm 60 years old and certainly not the target audience for Maxton Hall ;-), but I really have to say - I love the series. The two main actors in particular are sensational. I'm looking forward to season 2.

I also thought Dexter from One Day and James from Maxton Hall have some similarities. I love the tenderness these characters have, like they have a fragile side that not many people know. I like that Damian could find some similarities too.

Young Mr. Damian is very impressive speaking in this short piece about acting. So eloquent and so open. He is an amazing talent.

Really like this show. Have never read the books, but the show sounded like it was right up my alley & just finished season 1 last night! Come on season 2! It's been hard to find interviews in English with these actors so thank you for doing one. Hope to see more interviews in English and or captioned if in German. Would have liked if Harriet had been asked some of the same questions Damian was and had gotten to answer.
I think Damian feels more comfortable speaking English.
Checked it out out of curiosity and now I'm a bit obsessed. 😅 The chemistry of the leads, the acting of all characters, the exploration of relationships, music, etc are all so good. Waiting for season 2!

I've watched this interview 3x. He's very eloquent & mature due to his age and experience, while she looks shy & nervous but she's still very young and has lots of room to grow ☺ I love them both ♥

I didn’t believe that something other than friendship was going on with them until I saw their reactions to the first question. (in previous interviews, she said he’s like James.) Now I’m reallly curious what is going on. 🧐

As the interviewer says "you two have good chemistry", alas it is the ingredients that one adds to the chemical potion that results in the success or non success of ones experiment. Looking forward to James and Ruby's journey

I love them so much. I read the book so I’m praying that they give us at least 10-15 episodes in S2. Theres a lot of content. Also we deserve a lot of episodes just because if they go by the book it will be only 3seasons and this show is toooo gooood to stop at 3 seasons

She didn't have much to say and kept fidgeting weith her hair, which was distracting. Maybe because the interview was in English. Loved her in the show. He was really eloquent.
she is definitely not good in English, its not that hard to tell. and its not a bad thing. She’s german and she’s quite young. She still has a lot to experience to be able to understand and talk as eloquently as Damian
Yes. Damian simply is proficient and Harriet seemingly uncomfortable. I was glad they switched to Damian more because I felt bad for Harriet.

@@Julsi400Most germans still have a German accent though However, they are actors. They should be able to pick up other accents quickly and hide their German accents

@@eic2112I have a German friend since college days. I always thought she sounded British too but with a German accent. I think that's just the way Germans sound when they speak English.
They are actors, probably targeting to take roles in international productions as well, so they must have studied with a accent coach. No german i know has this perfect accent.
