This is without a doubt the most optimized TAS I have ever contributed to, and it would not have been possible without the help of ‪@PurpleSunTAS‬ (he is a GOD at slope movement). If you're somehow watching this and not subscribed to him, go fix that.

There should be a modification of SMG and SMG2 that lowers the time from star grab to the next star's start to like 5 seconds

There's been big developments in modding where you can have the same thing as 64's nonstop mod.
BillyWAR also tried to hack addresses to go straight to the next star on fadeout, but it crashes on some stars.

Thank you! Basically we play the game really slowed down so we can control the joystick and button presses with frame perfect accuracy, and then rewind when something doesn't work (it takes a lot of trial and error). At the end we play the sequence of inputs back and record a video.

Thank you! The Any% TAS route we're using only goes through BR1 and BRL. However, we have an ongoing side project to make a TAS for every star in the game, so we will make LOTADs of the levels eventually (before Any% is finished).
