can someone expert explain to me what exactly are those code used for? (numbers and letters such as A3, C2, B4 etc) please I'm interested to dive deeper into this expertise, and I just see it everywhere on Japan anime
hey dony! these labels stand for the drawing counts of the invidual layers. Everything is animated on a different layer, such as the effects, the character, the BG (incase you cel animated it) etc. We label these cels to also keep track of how many drawings exist in the particular cut. They are also needed because they get written down on the timesheet, so we can keep track of where to position the cel on the timeline. So yeah they have multiple purposes, but i believe they are mainly for organisation, clarity and communication. there are many steps you need to follow and need to keep in check to get a good end result. I hope this helps!
Never thought to see Manko in the comments of Yen🤣 I mean it makes sense but it's also very surprising😂 you both are the greatest, keep doing your things, love your work🔥💯
The choreography, camera work, and acting is so well done my dude. You have such a good ability to make things so readable, even during this rough stage of production. Your background animation work and managing of effects/debris is just insanely solid, massive respect.
Hey Chris hat's off to your hardwork and passion man.. You have a long way to go and you certainly will rise to be called as one of the greatest animators to ever exist..
thank you for publishing your LO/genga when you have permission, it's really cool to see! Your style is fabulous! I hope you contribute to more amazing episodes of One Piece (or other anime)! 🙏
hey, just wondering if you had a discord server I could join, im pretty new to animation and it feels very hard to find a community so thank you if you do have one :D
This hits so damn hard, the actual perfection animators try and become, this is truly inspiring and in hopes one day I can hopefully catch up to par with you one day, I love seeing genga like this it truly inspires me to keep going with animation, and I wish I can accomplish more overtime
>Finds random animation video on fy page >Clicks on it expecting some ball bouncing level stuff >Holy shit did this guy work on all my favorite shows???
A big fan of yours maybe I don't appear alot but it doesn't matter, you were the reason I got into animation with your first Livestream and u're always an inspiration for me keep up yen !
Hello bro, I love your animations, they are incredibly beautiful ❤️✨🔥very surprising, hey and I wanted to ask you if you would like to help me animate my animated series, we need an animation just as epic as yours, so what do you say 🙏✨?
Hey Chris. I’m a big fan of your work. Have you ever considered doing animation tutorials? I’d love to see how you animate your effects & getting a better grasp on how to properly use timing charts. It would be a great help for those who want to get into the industry by learning from a master of their craft.
There will be more streams at some point. I am sorry my editing skills are pretty weak, so doing professional structured tutorials are kinda tough for me. I just hope i can spread enough information through the streams and simply showcasing how anomstion is done
WOW!! just wow, these are amazing!! I had no idea you worked on Chainsawman and Mob. you're a massive inspiration to me, I hope to animate like you do one day
I'm a passionate about art & animation but sakuga animation isn't popular in India. How do I gain knowledge/expertise/experience even after that how do I even apply for a job in this field where there is not much exposure at all?
oh there is actually quite a lot of resources on the internet. so if you look up basic fundamentals of art and animation you should find plenty of content here on youtube for example. There are tons of community discords out there too i'd assume. you basically just enjoy creating and then share your work at X, IG, etc and then you'll probably either find new people who are working in the field or you will be able to get in touch with PAs if they think you got what it takes. it might take a while to get there. Good draftmanship is one of the main things they will look out for.
Chris, just wanted to say THANK YOU for your continued work on my favorite series. You are an absolute gem Everytime I see you on screen! Truly magnificent talent 🙌 and I hope you continue to be amazing as well as work on one piece 🏴☠️
Ich liebe deinen Stil man! Du bekommst so viele coole Möglichkeiten, an großen Projekten mitzuarbeiten, pass auf, dass du dich nicht irgendwann mal überarbeitest!! Viel Liebe aus Hessen!
You put more cohesive lines in your work than a novelist does his books. Well done, terrifyingly competent work, sharp, clear, precise and tacticle; you add more detail than the industry standard. 🎉
They keyanimation i provide gets traced and inbetweened by another douga artist afterwards from the studio. The coloring and compositing is also done by the studio. I tend to draw most frames to ensure quality in movements and consistency in drawings ( at least i try to ...still a lot to learn..)
Einfach nur krass wie gut du animierst. Deine Arbeit ist soooo extremst inspirierend und krass. Ich denke ich werde nieeee soooo ein level erreichen wie du!!! Weiter so und Alles Gute :)

@@yen_bm whoaw I see really appreciate the knowledge friend! 👍🏼
@yen_bm i have question. is layer A above or below layer B? i just dont understand
@@TarabanB A is always the layer below. It's basically like stacking paper, A is the lowest B is stacked on top, then C, etc.
@@akiani yes !
Your genga reminds me of Arifumi Imai's genga. It's super polished and well finished. Thank you for your amazing work!
