I think Clayton forgot to tell Simone to add 1 speed for succeeding on the Debris card, which would have given her the speed she needed to have a shot at the witch instead of killing Clayton.
Yeah, sometimes it can be pretty quick, like the time we found some hostages, opened the door, and their panicked running took them straight down the stairs and out the front door. Anywhere else, they'd have been running around like headless chickens and required ferrying one by one to the exit as they bounced off walls in random directions, but they had a straight shot of freedom and took it. Others can take a long time, like the end-game haunt (actually started after placing the penultimate room tile) which led to rooms of the house falling into the void one by one. This of course took quite some time, but to solve it we needed to perform an extensive search for various items and perform a ritual. As the house was huge, this also took a long time. We killed the traitor, lost a few to the void, but survived, with only three rooms remaining.
@@TheBaldrickk this is kind of why I prefer the Betrayal at Baldur's Gate haunt method more, where you roll dice equal to the number of omens in play, and you have to roll 6+ for the haunt to start. That way it's actually impossible for the haunt to start on the first or second omen, and it's more likely to start around the 4th

This could be a movie. Mother with her 3 'adopted' children go looking for their missing father (mad man). They go to the house and everything goes bad.
Everyone's mentioning the +1 speed that was missed, but there are other omissions: 1. Turn order after the haunt is revealed is always from the traitor's left. So all the heroes get a turn before the traitor. 2. You can't pick up the mandrake root and cast the spell on the same turn. So if you have the book you have to wait for it to come back to you (so everyone else including the traitor gets a turn). If you don't, I guess you can give it to whomever has the book if you have enough speed to reach them, then on their turn they can go to the witch and try to cast the spell.
The main thing I noticed was that monster movement was handled like character movement (unless they edited out the dice rolls for the monsters, but it didn't seem like it). It's supposed to be randomized how many movement points each monster gets by rolling dice equal to the monster's Speed. Granted, I've only played Betrayal at House on the Hill about 9 times (give or take a pair) and Betrayal at Baldur's Gate once, so I don't know which all scenarios have exceptions to this particular rule...
Yeah, there's that as well. Explorers (heroes and traitor) just move their speed (remember that if you leave a room with an opponent you need an extra point of movement per opponent). For monsters roll dice equal to their speed and they get that much movement. For groups of one type of monster, roll once and apply that movement to each monster. Of course if a particular haunt has any special rules then those supersede the general rule. So the turn order once the haunt is revealed is as follows: 1. Heroes, starting from the traitor's left and going clockwise. 2. Traitor - his own character, if it is still in the game. 3. Monsters - traitor rolls for movement for each monster or type of monster, then moves the monsters and performs other actions according to the rulebook plus any special rules. Never heard of Betrayal at Baldur's Gate until now (probably because it's pretty new). Looks like it is similar to BaHotH but with a different setting and adjusted mechanics.

Missy then attempts to kill the witch to avenge Vivian but is turned into a frog, Flash finds Vivian’s body and avenges her by shooting Brandon with the revolver he finds on the floor. @@keithklassen5320 i know this is 8 months after i posted the original comment but tbh? you're still right
I’m distracted by Brian in general.
A strong mood, but yeah its probably both for all of us
i'm a lesbian and this is still a mood
"You don't deserve good omens!"
You're absolutely right. None of us deserve the masterpiece that is Neil and Sir Terry's Good Omens.

Brian's smile is just so soft, idk what to tell you.

"I love horses" seems to take on a different meaning when said by bdg.
I LOVE this game SO MUCH! Takes a while to explain the rules, but so worth it! Would definitely recommend it for a game night.

simone's gripes with those fucking clips are so valid. nobody that i play this game with wants to use them. we all write our stats down on paper instead.
I have such nostalgic memories for this game! When I was in middle school I went on an over night trip to a science competition and my friends and I set up on the floor and played till one am. Our teacher had to come over and tell us to be quiet cause we were laughing too loud 😂
I live for their simultaneous chuckle at 7:40.

One of my favourite games to play when everyone has the time and patience...can be very fun.
My husband and I love this game. No joke, we've somehow played the werewolf scenario 3 times in a row.
Joshua Sisco you’re supposed to either skip and keep doing pre-haunt or pick the next haunt instead
Will there be sequels to any of the games u guys play? Id love to see these games that hav multiple options be replayed maybe with otger players at some point
Can somebody please make an animation of this? I just want to see the whole fight between Vivian, Brandon, and Flash.
simone's "i'm on the track team bitch" gives me so much life
I love this series. It's one of my save-for-a-lousy-day episodes. That said, why is Brian wearing two watches?
Rich Roberts One is to give to a friend in need, as the prophecy tells
So when he punches someone they get clocked twice.
Not 100% sure if this is true (I read it in the comments of another video) but his girlfriend is from the uk and one of the watches is on NYC time, the other is on UK time so he doesn’t accidentally call her in the middle of the night and it’s all very cute
Clayton, you can't just eat a frog! Vore is Griffin's thing and this gimmick infringement won't stand!

This sounds like spooky DnD. I love it already.
Legend says that to this day, the madman and the witch are still happily living together
I need a second episode of this game so so so badly so Clayton can do more of his glorious voices
