  • Answering the famous question, “How long does it take to get out of back pain?" Every injury is unique, and you can’t compare your injury to someone else’s because there are so many more specific factors that go into it than just the same pain. It takes time, patience, and dedication. #backpain #powerlifting #fitness #core

FAQ I get daily. How long will I have back pain? What is your experience? Remember, it's not the time you are pained, but what you doing during this time.

This was very helpful, thank you! Being patient and waiting to add any load is the hardest part. I was not a body builder nor power lifter, but definitely a regular gym goer and weight lifter (and daily LONG walker). Now, I realize so many of my movements during the day (sitting, bending down, etc.) were not healthy for my back; that has been a huge learning experience too. Right now, I'm concentrating on the Big Three plus daily short, brisk walks. One interesting thing your video said was that, in that example you mentioned, the person noted that the pain moved from down his leg up to the low back. I'm noticing that too, after 3 months of rehab. I hope it is a good sign, though honestly it is annoying. Thanks again.

Took me a bit over 2 years but I did a lot of slack training. I wasn't making my back pain worse but I also felt like I wasn't making any big gains. My biggest thing keeping me from healing was a huge muscular imbalance between my low back and hips and was causing huge problems for my entire posture and spine. It's not until recently that I learned I needed to turn on my glutes more and relearn to engage the core and properly walk that I've felt like making big gains towards being pain free.

Many times you have to eliminate training due to cumulative load.

Wow, months sounds great to me. It's been 5.5 years for me and still no relief in my pain. I'm a difficult case, though, since I have type 1 modic changes at L5-S1.

Brian they all want a quick fix Magic pill
You were a world class athlete who did rehabilitation to the letter of the Mcgill method
You did the posture 24 hours a day
I am not at that level as I am not 100 percent posture I get sloppy
As you say the accumulative over the years yet we want to heal within days
I know my back will heal and I spread the word to many people about you and McGill
Unfortunately many dont have discipline and go for an operation
Boy they will end up worse
One lady had the glue injected into her back
I told her to read your books and McGill
    Surgeons don’t know
    Anyway Brian thanks

Hi Brian- been looking through your channel and have kind of an awkward question. Have you had any clients that needed to cut out masturbation to get better?
Anyway, big fan of your content. Thanks in advance!
