So to answer your questions, it doesn't matter what you start with. I've started with both of those simply because one inspired me more than the other at the time. And to answer your second question, every composer does this. But it's an important process because you should be well acquainted with your music libraries. Start small, compose several ideas and then pick the one you like best and develop it. Don't try to write anything grand right of the bat. I hope this helps and good luck!
As much happiness your words bring to me I don't think I am deserving of them. What composers/producers such as Thomas Bergersen and Nick Phoenix do is well beyond my current abilities. But I'd like to say that I strive and work hard daily so that one day I could be among the best, and only then I would be able to accept such kind words. Thank you my friend.
I write books... epic books, and they always have battles in them. I finally came to a final battle, which is meant to be sad , but I continually struggled, to get the mood and pace right. Nothing seemed to work out, not untill I listened to this sad epic score. Thank you for composing this score, and helping me finish a sad battle.
Can picture this after a won battle focusing on the 'hero' and zooming outwards while craning up and circling, allies cheering in mute. also cheesy, I know. amazing job :)
Epic music! Really nice job! May i ask how do you record this kind of music?? Do you play it through synth and a sound card or do you have a programm where you put the notes and you can produce the sounds??????? Thanks
I am an enlistee in the United states military, Army branch. Attepting for information technologies specialist. This song for some reason has inspired me to bring apart a better influence to those around me. Inspired me to realize that life is only what you make of it, that death is inevitable, but can be prolonged with more bullets... Thank you for your Kind, inspiring, balanced, and intieging piece of work, pardon my horrendious spelling.
Awesome, I started with Groove Addicts and randomly played other songs. This is the one that made me concentrate on what I'm listening to. Congratulation! This is a great piece of music ;)
Hi FellforTheFake, I know exactly what you mean. So many times have I sat down to a blank piece and said, "I'm going to write a symphony as a good as Beethoven!" This pretty much always leads to frustration. What I realized is that initially, the idea doesn't have to be anything special. It could be as simple as a chord progression, the important part is the developmental stage. As soon as you have something to go off of, it becomes much easier to write and this is where you get creative.
@TheNalyd22 Thank you for such kind words! I use Logic Pro 9 and this track was made with East West Platinum Symphonic Orchestra, Symphonic Choirs, Stormdrum, and the piano is a Vienna Concert Grand from Kontakt. Good luck with your piece and I'd love to hear it when it's done!
Additional advice - Just lace some sounds together so you can get the feel of it. When your head keeps saying "it's wrong" that just means you need to fine tune. Once you compile the sound, you can tweak to perfection to get the mock sound you want for performance. But just laying it down helps you make progress, even if you know you must come back to it later to make real headway.
Could you please share this music file with me? (Could you please email the actual file to me?) I would love to use part of it in a film I'm making. I will give complete credit and reference to you. THANKS so much!!
I love this music. I'm creating a photo montage to use as a trailer for my novel which I have self-published on Amazon and would like to get permission to use the music as the background. Is that possible? Please let me know how I would go about doing that.
This is a fantastic piece. Would it be alright if I used it in the intro of a series of videos I'm doing for my sports blog? It fits the tone I'm looking for perfectly (and of course you'll get all the credit in the world for it!) :P
I was wondering if I too could use this song for a small film. It is for my high school media studies class. It would be on a different account and I would leave a link in the description and make sure to give you credit.
You made... You made something who can make jealous Two Steps From Hell ! You should continue in this way... No, you must ! You must, because your work is incredibly good. It's epic, awesome. It's near of perfection, cause perfection don't exist... But if she exist, your work would be perfect !
It is certainly of quality. Very nice to see composers with more courage than I have to put their stuff out there. what software do you use? I just use pencil paper and finale but would like to get some more of the ornate stuff to use.
This is an awesome piece. One of my favorite of all time. In inspired to write some pieces myself. Question, did you actually use an orchestra or is it all digitized music and composed using a program.
Hi SupremacyOfFire! The DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) that I personally use is Logic Pro 9. I as well use Sibelius but consider it better for scoring than producing. If you would like to make music there are a lot of great programs such as Cakewalk Sonar, Pro Tools, Fruity Loops, and Ableton to list a few. Let me know if you have any other questions and thanks for the compliments!
hey great trak man!!! would you mind if i useit for a couple of non-profit vids for tv? if you say yes send me a private mesage with the info to put you in the creds
i think this music is absolutely fantastic. i am doing a project for my brother in history. can I have permission to use this music for it :) thank you.
I forgot to mention, PM if you are interesting in composing for movies. I am working on a script for a short movie/pilot and if it gets popular with people then I will try to make it into a show. I checked out your soundcloud page and from what you have it seems like you would be perfect to compose for the type of movie I am making. Once again let me know if you are interested!! Keep up the great music! Cya.
i was wondering if i could use this particular piece for some videos that i'm going to make. this will not be used for commercial purposes. would it be okay if i use it? i will put your link in the description of my videos.
Hey man this is just what I have been looking for, will it be cool if I use it for a small film project I am doing? I will credit you and it is not going to be used for comercial stuff, I will also put a link to your page when I post it on youtube. Let me know if you are cool with it.
Fantastic piece! I love the raw power of it! Definitely a heroic sound.

I cannot count how many times I've listened to this. BUT THIS, is the first time I've read the description. Powerful shtuff if do say.

Amazing!!!! You are SO talented! I found myself closing my eyes and picturing a hero marching out to battle where he eventually wins...
