I know you used to work for Limestone. Did they not sell to Meade a few years ago??? I can not remember if you said what you did there??? I worked for two different JD dealerships over a 30 year period. Started out as a tech and then moved up to service manager. Then up to store manager when the owners health failed. JD closed that store in 1998. I then finished my run at another JD dealership starting as a salesman and then finished as sales manager. I retired in 2005 and I am glad I did. The JD company of today is not the one I used to work for. I would not be very happy there today. This was all in Iowa.
Currently have worked for 4 different companies doing the same job at the same place. They get bought out again it is probably the end for me. I am tired of all the paperwork and bs. When ever they changed the logo Deere turned into a stockholder driven company instead of a customer driven company.

One thing I've learned over many years and hard lessons is that when one part of a cooling system fails, replace it all. It seems to me that once a hose blows, radiator fails, engine overheats, it weakens everything else. Or they are all due to go. So I spend the extra all at once and just do it.
I recall a coworker of my Dad's having an old diesel Mercedes that had a half-million miles on it back in the late 60s. Not sure of the year, it was originally sold in Argentina and made it's way here with the owner. Apparently, stubborn German engineers did not listen when instructed about planned obsolescence.
