The excitement of new consoles is honestly some of the best highlights of my gaming life. So far I've unboxed PS1, PS2 kinda (bought it open-box), PS3 kinda (bought it used), PS4, Switch, and a PS5 and XSX in a couple of weeks... CANNOT WAIT!

So happy I know Blessing’s perspective on Sicko Mode, I loved that whole interaction between the team.
Man, I love this show, here for the PS news but loved the Cactus Jack conversation (I did not know who Travis Scott was either), AND after the dollar menu conversation to go straight into the debut PS apps was just...amazing.
The wallpaper is super cool. It really makes me excited to see the PS5 on the bottom left, standing up. 😂

Resogun and Contrast were awesome PS+ titles. I played the crap out of both of them. I actually went through and got all the trophies in Contrast too. Loved them both

The first thing I played on my PS4 was Resogun I hope when I finally get a PS5 I can try that on there as well.
@GregMiller The first thing that popped in my head when he said Cactus Jack was also Mick Foley.
Cactus Jack was a restaurant right beside the Clarksburg, WV armory where he started. He named himself after the restaurant.
It was Resogun and Contrast free for plus at launch. I’m not quite done yet so maybe they get there but just wanted to send this in.

First of all just want to say that the PS I Love You intro is such a BANGER! Goosebumps every time. Secondly, since we will have the ability to get custom plates, do you think special edition consoles will disappear?

Platestation is not a reputable seller. They have admitted that they don't know the dimensions of the plates. They have no proof of concept models. They have also been nasty to people asking them questions online. There will be better options soon.
And on top of that, my anti-virus blocked their site with a suspicious tag. Maybe that's all you need to know.

Fallout related to Halloween pretty well since the bombs dropped a week before Halloween so there are plenty of Halloween decorations still up hundreds of years later.

Resogun was a PS3/PS4 PS+ title, Contrast was PS+ on PS4 only. FYI, Contrast was made by Compulsion Games, now owned by Microsoft.
Look forward to getting this console when it's widely available hopefully early next year. I have no hope for the next two months in retail stock inventory lol

I'm up to the DualSense part but I just want to say that the DualSense sound very exciting, there's going to be loads of people playing first party games that I can imagine will make use of its features such as God of War with the axe, Spider-Man with his webs and spider-sense. I think the PS+ games collection in general is massively underrated particularly when looking at people/kids who have never played a playstation before and have missed out on the great selection of games that are available at launch which are looking and playing better than ever, with the addition of the DualSense it's going to be amazing for newcomers. PS5 is killing it!

GOT 2 on Next Gen will be insane. Focus on the mainland with a older Jin would be great. Larger set pieces and wars would be really good. With extra power they could do this, one of best PS new IP's in a while.
GOT Legends is probably the best free addon ever. Really enjoying it.

I know that I'll play Astro bot even if it's technically a demo just to see how deep it cuts into the PlayStation lore and history, and collect all the artifacts of its past.

Weird, the interview with the Ghost crew showed up on Spotify...guess they were able to edit it in for the audio podcast?
Kevin should get a gold star for saying, "Why are we still doing this?" and getting the show started. Also, in Fall Out lore the bombs dropped on Halloween (if I'm remembering right). At the very least, it was very close to Halloween, and in FO4 (and I think 3 too) there were decorations everywhere. So blessings costume is actual very Halloweenie.
The first PS4 PS+ titles were also on PS3, so it makes it more complicated - especially now when they also incl. a monthly indie title on PS Now and cross-gen is more common
Resogun didn't come to PS3/Vita until awhile after it left Plus, and the PS3 port of Contrast WASN'T offered on Plus IIRC.

The thing about the triggers that's confusing people is that they call it haptic feedback, but haptic feedback is simple vibrations.
it would be far more accurate and easy to understand if they just called it what it was.
It is programmable force feedback which has existed in arcade wheels for literally decades.
haptic feedback IS rumble. ADAPTIVE TRIGGERS are what's more like force feedback. So many other ppl(not u), keep thinking that adaptive triggers, are just HD rumble, or something that xbox already had in their 1st version of XBONE controllers. But they are wrong.

I'm really curious if the RUclips and Twitch apps will take advantage of that picture-in-picture thing they showed off for the Screen Sharing feature. Would be kinda nice to have a stream up in the corner while grinding in FF16 or whatever.

One thing I wanna know is is that your PS5 to keep? Do you have to return it at some point?
I don't really understand this obsession with needing a console to match your furniture. I own the Spider-Man PS4 pro and it stands out in a great way. I want my console to catch the eye and have someone go "whoa what is that?" I'm gonna stand the PS5 up next to my 65" 4K TV and call it a day. That thing is gonna look futuristic as hell with those blue lights on the sides and I can't wait.
