For anyone wondering, the M5 effects are a hell of a lot better than your standard multi-effects all-in-one processor (like the zoom or the digitech rp's). However the trade off is that you can only employ one at a time (but you can save up to a 100 of your favourite tweaked effects). The pedal is a bit like a garage/car boot sale, you have to work to find the good sounds, some effects are pure garbage (mostly the distortions, although the sub-bass fuzz is really cool), a lot of the effects are really great but everything can be tweaked quite dramatically, so it's up to the user. I use mine at the end of my pedal board mostly as a reverb pedal (which is where I think the pedal shines) it's got subtle tasteful reverbs and crazy experimental shimmers/particles effects with the added bonus of the built in noise gate which is very handy at the end of my signal chain. My advice would be to get this if you already have your distortion/overdrive sounds sorted out
That's what I'm looking at these, for, but I'm looking at the m9 so I have 3 "pedals" to choose from. I like my phase 90 in the front, I like my various drive and amp emulating pedals that not many multieffects do a good job of emulating, but Line 6 had it together with these units. They know how to do modulation and time effects very well.
Hi..good day..i would like to ask if you experience same as me..theres a volume loss when i am engaging my reverbs from M5..do you have any idea how to fix it??thanks in advance
Been looking for a good shimmer reverb, quite impressed with this considering you get a whole load of other effects along with it and it's currently £72 brand new!
Question: M9 vs M13, I noticed that for some reason they are almost the same price!! is that possible? Is there any reason for getting m9 and not M13?? Given the price, I am sure M13 is the best option.. (unless there is something I dont know..)
+Grammatical Error I know guys who have the m9 and have used the m5 and that is the thing with the m series is they don't have cabinet simulators... They are basically an all in one effect pedal... if you want something with a cabinet emulator you may want to look at one of the line 6 multi fx units like the pod hd300 (reverb.com/marketplace?ships_to=XX&query=line+6+hd300) which is the famous hd500's little brother which could work perfectly with your drive pedals and stuff which by the sounds you already have... you can get these pretty cheap off reverb.com or you could get something like the line 6 amplifi fx100 - www.thomann.de/intl/line6_amplifi_fx100.htm, or what about the pocket pod by line 6 which many people use for cabinet and head emulation - www.thomann.de/intl/line6_pocket_pod.htm
I'm considering trading in my Bigsky for a Mobius and picking up an M5 for reverb. Would you say the Reverbs are the highest quality effect on the M-series?
+coprhead6 Frankly, the Strymon reverbs are significantly better. The modulation on the M5 is quite good, however. So I'd recommend keeping the Big Sky and picking up an M5 for modulation instead of the Mobius.

Thanks for the heads up. Would you happen to know if its Spring Reverb achieves that drip sound of the original Fender units? Cheers!

@@dreamsoverfears2188please check your input & output connection jack.. it must be mono input and mono output connection..
That cave reverb sounded awesome, chamber is my 2nd favorite. Great video.
I can say I'm a big fan of reverb for blues playing, this unit has a big sound on the reverb side I like it

Love the chords you are playing..
I have the m13, couldn't find best pedal, love the delays and reverbs
Child of the Sun ... I love your playing ...
particle verb sounds awesome....
It possibly won’t have an analog dry thro like strymon or tc does, but heck it sounds not bad for a budget pedal....I’m tempted !
Um, it has true bypass as a settings option. Is that the same as analog dry thru?
can you mixed it with delay? delay + reverb?
you can on the M9. Remember that M5 is just one effect at any given time. For the money, the M9 is much more bang for buck.
@A M tap tempo for time-based effects. It even reads "TAP"
@A M yeah, just press both buttons at once and you can scroll to presets. Check the manual, its online
Good job!!!
Is it a good option for the surf drip thing?
Have you got that answer by now? I'm also curious
@@pspbsb Hi! Finally I got me a Fender Tre verb and it does everything I need. Cheers!
@@joserra79 thanks, I've also been considering that unit.

Does it have an effect called auto swell? Like the amplifi fx100?
hi , is it connected straight or fx loop?
Is it has cabinet simulator? I'm thinking to buy this or Zoom ms-50g.

Jayden Szekely
wow thank you very much for the info!!
+Grammatical Error No worries :) Glad it helped :)
Does this do reverse reverb?
No
Hello! Do you know if is it possible to join 2 different effects at same time (ex. chorus + reverb)?
You can do that on the M9 and M13, but not on the M5.

Hey Shnobel! What's the name of the reverb modulation setting here in m5? Thanks!
Out of a large tube amp, and it still sounds bad
Gear snob
It doesn't matter how large the tube amp is... How 2ould that even be a factor?
