Janet Burrus no disrespect to you but this is the history of tithes. It’s important to dig deeper into the word and RESEARCH than listening to what the Pastor say. The church and Pastors have misquoted and misinterpreted that scripture for monetary gain and to keep people into bondage believing that LIE we must give 10% of money to the church. Tithe was not money back then. It was a a law. 10% was produce and animal. If you look at the scripture you quoted in verse 10, it says bring tithes in the storehouse so that there may be MEAT in mine house. Where do that say MONEY. The first tithe was giving of one tenth of agricultural produce to the Levite or the priest. On years one, two, four and five of the Shemittah-cycle, God commanded the Children of Israel to take a second tithe that was to be brought to the place of the Temple (Deuteronomy 14:23). The owner of the produce was to separate and bring 1/10 of his finished produce to the Old City of Jerusalem after separating Terumah and the first tithe, but if the family lived too far from Jerusalem, the tithe could be redeemed upon coins (Deuteronomy 14:24-25). Then, the Bible required the owner of the redeemed coins to spend the tithe "to buy whatever you like: cattle, sheep, wine or other fermented drink, or anything you wish" (Deuteronomy 14:26). the commandment was an obligation to spend the coins on items meant for human consumption. In years three and six of the Shemittah-cycle the Israelites set aside the (second) tithe instead as the poor tithe, and it was given to the strangers, orphans, and widows. The Levites, also known as the Tribe of Levi. They were assistants to the Aaronic priests (who were the children of Aaron and, therefore, a subset of the Tribe of Levi) and did not own or inherit a territorial patrimony (Numbers 18:21-28). Their function in society was that of temple functionaries, teachers and trusted civil servants who supervised the weights and scales and witnessed agreements. The goods donated from the other Israeli tribes were their source of sustenance. They received from "all Israel" a tithe of food or livestock for support, and in turn would set aside a tenth portion of that tithe for the Aaronic priests. An additional tithe mentioned in the Book of Leviticus (27:32-33) is the cattle tithe, which is to be sacrificed as a korban at the Temple in Jerusalem. Researching history for yourself is very important. No disrespect to you. I was once believed that brainwashing mess as well. Like Nacculate Vassell said, we are not bound by that law. The problem I have with megachurches is their lack of real help in the community. I've been a social worker for 28 yrs. I can NEVER get help for my clients, many of wgich are their congregants. They will offer the last 50.00 of a bill but not without asking for a tithes report, tax returns, etc. In 28 yrs the only churches to provide help have been Catholic, Lutheran and divers small churches with less than 200 members. I live in Baltimore now and I have reached out every megachurch here, lots of all black churches and not once in allnof these years have any of our clients received help. Yet the pastors drive Bentley's. One church has a helicopter pad. Several offerings, atm machines, etc yet the congregants can't even afford to attend the churches private schools. But when the cameras show up, the pastors show up. I can only speak for Baltimore. So I won't generalize. But I stopped attending all black megachurches and started attending smaller diverse churches that really are about the business of community and Serv. The pastors arent multimillionaires while their congregants are homeless.
raquele brimmage a friend of mine gave her everything and the church put her through like it was loan and then estimate how much to pay back. It wasn’t a mega church but the point she had been going for years, she was crush.

Doesn't work that way unfortunately. You need to connect to the faith of the receiver. Even Jesus couldn't do much in his hometown. Jesus himself said in Luke 4 :23 - 27 that a prophet is not accepted in his hometown.
Bishop Jones, I Love You! God always leads me to you and your sermons. He has annointed and appointed you. I thank God for you. I Love your song...It is not about us. It is alllllll about Jesus. Praise God!!!!
Wow, this was great. Love his honesty. It’s easy to encourage others but what happens when that bitter cup is upon you. You have to encourage yourself with the Word!
The most judgemental people is out of church because they are judging those in church to be perfect and righteous. Yet, they are not making the correct steps to do the right thing and get things in order to bless others which in turn will bless them to live a true happy life. I Love Bishop as I first met him when I was 10 years old in a tent revival in Abundant Life Tabernacle in the Bronx. His teaching changed my life. We need more teachings from ministers like him. These teachings will sustained.
We don't need a praise team , we need choirs, forget the leader that wants to be like Kirk Franklin. Everyone in the choir is gay or usually sleeping outside of marriage but nobody checks them because they just want someone to sing. We don't need a new wing in the church, Im not calling some lady I see only on Sundays " First Lady" , my mama is the only person I'll call that. I get to church on time, I should be able to sit in the pew in the front, not some NFL player that can give big money and comes once a month, not giving to the church anniversary and pastors anniversary fund. I'm not cursed if I dont tithe. Wish I knew that long ago. Pastors got a slew of women they can pay off that well never know about. Praying and hoping and getting disappointed because they tell you " it's because you don't have enough faith." No need for a praise team, dance team, step team, old peoples choir, young people's choir and lights, camera and entertainment and etc and pastor preaches on a message that has nothing to do with the reality of what the congregation is dealing with. Just over it. This is why alot of black people are leaving the black church and looking for sound doctrine and looking to be taught what they know the holy spirit is teaching them that the black church is not teaching them.
Worship is needed. It sets the atmosphere. I encourage you to read in the bible what worship do when it's done correctly. Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord. Psalm 150:6 About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them. Acts 16:25 God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth. John 4:24 Praise the Lord, my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name. Psalm 103:1 | NIV
@@christchickconversations You need to praise him, not be entertained. You dont need a church to praise God. If you do, you are fake. They put them scriptures in your head so that you do what they want you to do. Get emotional and be a cheerful giver if you wish.
We worship God in Spirit and Truth. I'm clear about one thing. God will speak to your heart and reward you, if you continue to seek Him. Although the church is is in transition, she belongs to God, not man. Be Encouraged and Watch Him work!
Maybe you are drawn to those Black church because of YOU. If every Black church you have went to is like that. Ask yourself, what is the common denominator:. YOU.
I definitely believe that the move of the mega Church has got to shift. He hit it right on target. We have to get back to community. In doing so we must become the place of resolution for the issues that exist in our communities. We must understand that people don't care how good your preaching is they want to know how much you care.
Remote Worker, I listened to a pastor preach, saying how are women gonna be sexy and sanctified at the same time? Holiness still rules today, yesterday, and forever more.

Preachers today are becoming Motivational Speakers these days !!!
As it should be.. if the church isn't for the community, then get it the hell up out of the community... people treat church like it's a business when the churches business needs to be the people...
It does need to be a business. The caucasian churches run as businesses and are successful! The black churches however dont that's why the wealthy white people, companies own the land around the black churches
Open up your ears and listen Bishop Noel Jones wisdom and knowledge helping people to grow spiritually City of Refuge Los Angeles California lifting up the name of Jesus giving God all the glory standing on the word the truth honesty just do right do right be right lay all the stinking thinking bad things down
My concern is if I know the pastor's name and his wife. Does he know mines? These mega churches are so big and it's like do you know my name? If I'm a member for yrs and paying my tithes and offerings. Do you know me? I'm gonna need to know that?
Donna Bey I go to a medium sized (200-300) active members and (1000) on role.. 2 things - 1. Our pastor knows the members who are involved, those are the ones he interacts with on a regular basis... 2. Acts 6 clearly identifies Deacons to assist Pastor who job is to bring the word and he cannot help everyone and do that effectively...
Donna Bey, I agree with you. I grew up in church, my pastor then knew everybody. All of us by name. My grandmother was an evangelist, she drug us to church 3-4 a week. The pastor was very approachable. Not today though. The mega church pastors are surrounded by body guards, there aren't alter calls anymore, seeking to get those unsaved to the alters to become saved. The mega church pastors are focused on tithes, offerings, and numbers of how many members they may keep to fill their pockets. I love the"Lord" with every fiber of my being, though I cannot will not sit with folk who are dressing to the tee just to be seen. The powerful anointing has gone out of the church, secular music has infiltrated the church, and "GOD" knows it. We're "JESUS" here on Earth now, he would go in and turn all the money tables over and rebuke all who are in error. Now Donna, I'm just saying. Bishop Noel, I can agree with his stance as well. But the "Lord" admonishes us to seek him and not worship the leaders. "DOD bless you Donna.
This truth from Bishop is going to cause an avalanche of assessment! No one dares says this to his face except he says it to himself! I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
I no longer attend church and have never been as happy as I am now. I found God by completely leaving that institution. Noel would be one of the few people I would ever sit under and allow to pour into me.
Exactly. People don't absorb their own teachings. Preach to live what you teach. The WORD is for everyone, including those who teach. While you're meditating to preach, see how that WORD is applicable to you and how it can change your life. GOD always has something to say. Even when He's silent, HE'S "talking".
That's the mentality of some church people, but definitely not all of us. The bible says you will have in this life and the life to come when you give your life completely to Jesus.
The end shows how easy it is to make it up as you go along. The sad part is that it would touch somebody's emotional state e of despair and become a word of inspiration for that person. A word from God. But as soon as the "high" wears off, those people are still in search of a fix. It's a proverbial rollercoaster of highs and lows of your emotions. What's needs to be adjusted is that person's perception of reality and their own ability to manage their emotions. Understanding the difference between what and how the world is versus how we want it to be.
Saw a John Gray video where he was preaching at Lakewood and in the comments the general consensus was “what a great entertainer!”, “what a great show!”... I couldn’t believe it... but that’s what people are looking for in church now... entertainment and showmanship.
Bishop Noel just about everything you say or preach is profound, but 0:38- was right on. To me, not being critical, but Bishop T. D. Jakes was one of the best in that regards. His preaching carried over to his Talk show, then his talk show spun off in his preaching if that makes sense. He became the Prince of the Mega church, Pastor J. Olsteen may have been the King of the Mega Christian churches. You articulated that and(hoped) my understanding of that well. Great interview.
The evolved right now! ....kinda limits the eyes open excuse to to know God for yourself ...when its truly our time no one will lose or be left behind ...Thank You Bishop Jones for strengthening me with your journey.
Yes! It's so watered-down, it's the same as the world and deluded them from knowing (and following) the difference. That's dangerous as these are the *last days* !!

Jesus didn’t die to have ‘our’ deaths preached about. It’s about HIS death and resurrection, not ours. God is j-e-a-l-o-u-s.
I simply love The Bishop energy...
@ Indeed indeed indeed... I concur, he's an exceptionally awesome light being...
I do too. He is one of the coolest person in the world. I love all of his preaching!!!!!!!
And they love your money!!!!
@@SuperFaith4ever wow, I'm sorry to here that. It's devastating to put your faith in the church you worship and to receive nohelp.
That's sad. I pray for more megachurches to be as helpful as help to megachurches I've been and am member of. I was blessed today for the next ten months of rent.
@@Klgray7373 That's awesome. I am so glad that you were able to receive the assistance you needed. So many ppl need help and I wish we lived in a country where everyone could afford a home. The church that assisted you is a true church of ministry. 😍
You spoke truth!
This is really good. The church is shifting but the Gospel is not. The Gospel is still the same in that He offers us eternal life. The practicality of God's Word should not only be spoken but the Word of God is applicable and actionable.
Lorenza God’s Man Ross Amen 🙏
🌷 He said it well - RESULTS is the performance measure of the church!!! Now, the Coronavirus global pandemic crisis has made this more true than ever.
I love to listen Bishop Noel Johns,, He is a truly man of God,
God has used him as a big instrument in my life,
I give thanks to God for him, I knew that 2017 was a horrible year for him,
But I knew that God will be give him the strength to overcome everything,
And seeing him here in this interview, makes me very happy 😃 and glad that he is still preaching,
God bless this amazing 😉 man, and his lovely family. 🙏👍😘😉🤗.
Thanks for such as great interview 🙏😘👍
Very well process of thought and theology! Thank you. And finally those who have had the platform will tell some of the truth to help set folks free.
They that worship me most worship in truth and in spirit.
Bishop Noel J🔥nes is fire in Jesus Chris focused, grounded, marinated, and Absorbed in the L🔥RD . ℹ actually admire the guy. He know he got down on the Hamilton song’s examination-straight-up off the top.. G🔥D Bless you Bishop N🔥el Jones no matter what.
BISHOP JONES SAY IF YOU ARE A HEALER YOU DON,T NEED TO BE IN CHURCH, YOU NEED TO BE IN A HOSPITAL CARING FOR THEM PEOPLE.
Sylvester I’ve said that all along
Doesn't work that way unfortunately. You need to connect to the faith of the receiver. Even Jesus couldn't do much in his hometown. Jesus himself said in Luke 4 :23 - 27 that a prophet is not accepted in his hometown.
Bishop Jones is a liar & a servant of satan.
Tell him to show me that in scriptures.
Bishop Jones, I Love You! God always leads me to you and your sermons. He has annointed and appointed you. I thank God for you. I Love your song...It is not about us. It is alllllll about Jesus. Praise God!!!!
I wish FoxSoul would go back to this format with Dr Sean because this is awesome 👌.
Pastor Jones is incredibly talented, intelligent, inspiring and filled with the holy ghost. Could listen to him all day.
Noel Jones what a preacher .
Thank you!!! Bishop. For clearing up this forgiveness...
He's exactly right! . I'm a millennial and can say I agree!
Thank you Bishop. I am going to inherit a mega church comparatively that has less than twenty members currently.
All I can say is Hallelujah Glory to God❤️🙌🏾🙌🏾👏👏👏
Excellent Message. Awesome. Love Bishop Noel Jones #MrsDonna
Pastor Noel Jones hit the nail on the head.
Alright Now Bishop Noel Jones ❤🙏👏👏👏👏
Enjoyed this interview. “Preachers study to present but not to apply.”
Dr. Sean is a Great preacher!!!
Martin Luther king said the same thing before he was assasinated. We are taught milk and honey in heaven but starving on earth.
What do you think? I became a Christian at age seven. For me, things are not the same, however I am still a Christian believer.
If he taught heaven on earth do you think black folks under those conditions would have gotten it?
@@nealdarbyjr8268 are you still a believer today?
The last part made me know that there's more to learn. Love you Daddy Jones and a happy birthday in advance ❤️
Orange Blossom
Lol you said mouth full leaving to stay home and worship on your own not looking at Joel fake ass
Worship is needed. It sets the atmosphere.
I encourage you to read in the bible what worship do when it's done correctly.
Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.
Praise the Lord.
Psalm 150:6
About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them.
Acts 16:25
God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.
John 4:24
Praise the Lord, my soul;
all my inmost being, praise his holy name.
YOU.
I appreciate you Bishop Jones
This is really good teaching, it just makes sense.❤
I definitely believe that the move of the mega Church has got to shift. He hit it right on target. We have to get back to community. In doing so we must become the place of resolution for the issues that exist in our communities. We must understand that people don't care how good your preaching is they want to know how much you care.
Then teach the truth about who we are as a people and the law of the MOST HIGH YAH
I was just about to type this wow.
Holiness is still right - ppl walking more in the flesh than in the Spirit - Sad
True.
Remote Worker, I listened to a pastor preach, saying how are women gonna be sexy and sanctified at the same time? Holiness still rules today, yesterday, and forever more.
Remote Worker
Amen! so true!
Explain what you mean please?
No one has shown the spiritual but I can drive a car in the real
I have a very deep respect for Bishop Noel Jones. He is always human yet draws me nearer God.
You Better Preach Pastor Noel !!! I agree 100% I been saying this to pple who are in the church and pple who talk about Christians ( my Millennial peers) we have to live by the studies of the Bible live by the word not be of this world Help others or companies I am Apostolic as well !! Preachers today are becoming Motivational Speakers these days !!!
Great man of God full of wisdom.
The intellectual, philosofical, Incomparable....NoelJones!!!
As it should be.. if the church isn't for the community, then get it the hell up out of the community... people treat church like it's a business when the churches business needs to be the people...
BLACK AMERICAN CITIZENS love baptism churches and DEMOCRATS 😂 😂
@@kingrollo8199 Sad but true
501c3 is a business
April Johnson 🗣SAY AGAIN FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE BACK 🤣😂🤣😂
It does need to be a business.
@@marilynclarke6092 God Bless You as well😊
NO MAN GOING TO REMEMBER 18000 NAMES, YOU HAVE TO BE A DOER IN CHURCH NOT JUST A MEMBER JUST SAIDING.
Son of the Sun LOL 😂
This truth from Bishop is going to cause an avalanche of assessment! No one dares says this to his face except he says it to himself! I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Absolutely brilliant! Shalom
I no longer attend church and have never been as happy as I am now. I found God by completely leaving that institution. Noel would be one of the few people I would ever sit under and allow to pour into me.
I did too and have begin listening to him on. Sunday’s.
I have always had Respect for Bishop Noel Jones. I lead so many people to his church and all felt revived afterwards.
So............. You just became the problem!
mr jones is the best at gospel preaching,,,,detailed vital root based informational teaching no disrespect too thomas dexter ,,,a very close second
That’s right Bishop break it down ! Amen 🙏
Speak Bishop Jones💕💕 So True
Exactly. People don't absorb their own teachings. Preach to live what you teach. The WORD is for everyone, including those who teach. While you're meditating to preach, see how that WORD is applicable to you and how it can change your life. GOD always has something to say. Even when He's silent, HE'S "talking".
Always an honor to hear Bishop Jones tell the truth.
HE NAILED IT. PERIOD.
That's the mentality of some church people, but definitely not all of us. The bible says you will have in this life and the life to come when you give your life completely to Jesus.
Yes Bishop u always have a word
Beautiful Bishop. One could not give what he/she does not have. Glory to God.
AMEN..GOD USED BISHOP FOR YOUR GLORY!!!
Great message
Yes Bishop Noel Jones!
i like this man, noel jones. i like him a lot.👍🏾
Humanity is real and must be acknowledged and affirmed
Saw a John Gray video where he was preaching at Lakewood and in the comments the general consensus was “what a great entertainer!”, “what a great show!”... I couldn’t believe it... but that’s what people are looking for in church now... entertainment and showmanship.
I love Bishop
This is very Heavy! Speak Sir!
Great work Brothers.
He dropped a lot of TRUTHS
The Great Bishop Noel Jones!!
Mega Churches have the power to build and create better communities in society !!!
AMEN..WALK JESUS!!!
Yes! It's so watered-down, it's the same as the world and deluded them from knowing (and following) the difference. That's dangerous as these are the *last days* !!
Powerful check mindset check God check✌🏿❤️🙏🏿
