    This is way late, but for any people searching for how to videos like I am, the reason your adhesive strips broke so easily is because you applied heat to them. You don't need to do that at all. Just cut and pull. You made them too malleable when you applied heat. They need to remain stiff in order to not break.

      I have no clue but i thought the same. Prepping to replace my battery. Kinda scared, to broke to buy a new phone. Other videos also claim that removing and plugging in should be the first and last thing you do so non of the other connections shortcut when removing.

    This is one of the many reasons I HATE the iPhone. This is too much foolishness to go thru to obtain access to your battery as opposed to a regular Android

      Yeah the higher end models they are mostly all wanting to make a sealed unit seems like. The lower end androids are not as much yet.
