My WordPress breaks all the time... Can't add products to cart... once in cart... Can't check out with any payments. Things missing with plugin updates or Theme updates. Paying for Web guru's gets expensive & takes a while to fix & not getting orders during that time. I think WordPress is MORE expensive, with hosting, SSL, & getting it fixed. Thoughts?
Great insights, thank you! Is there a seamless way to transfer content from your Wordpress to SquareSpace or do you need to manually put all your content onto the new website? Appreciate your help!
You are not wrong for people who run some kind of business, the security alone will save them a ton, but for people with a simple homepage I think it is a bit pricey. I am old school myself, I know how to bend any wordpress theme to my liking, but for convinience and speed sure.
What about checkout page not allowing your customers to pay, you just get the death spinning wheel? Or updates, plugins, theme updates crashing your site or causing problems & it shuts your sales down until its fixed? Thoughts?
While Squarespace certainly has its niche, primarily catering to those who may not be particularly tech-savvy and are content with the convenience of a subscription model, it simply can't compete with Wordpress for those seeking a robust, highly customizable platform. For anyone desiring a platform that offers both power and adaptability, choosing Wordpress is a logical decision. In fact, it's noteworthy that when it comes to dynamic, evolving businesses, it's unlikely that you'll find them leveraging Squarespace. They tend to gravitate towards Wordpress due to its superior versatility and expansive feature set.
I have to disagree with you here. I've been a WordPress user since 2006 and have had enough. I've lost count of the number of sites I've built but even with one of the best premium themes out there, robustness and WordPress just do not go hand in hand. My daughter started using SquareSpace for her company site and she just gets things done way faster than I do.
I started on Wordpress and it was a total nightmare as a beginner. I’m creatively savvy in many ways but coding is not one a strength of mine. For that reason after years of struggle I’m switching over to Squarespace so I can build the site and then I’ll hire a designer to replicate the site on Wordpress if growth requires it. I tried the cheaper, more robust method first and failed at it miserably 😂
For most people Squarespace is the better option. As a developer though I find WordPress to be much easier to manage and to know what is happening on the site.

I agree. WordPress is an amazing CMS, but it seems to break VERY easily. Squarespace just works for me and that's enough to keep me coming back.

Do you have any example websites using squarespace for an automotive performance shop selling physical products and services?

I'm very tech savvy, but I still prefer Squarespace. WordPress is amazing, though. I have years of experience with both platforms.

Well said. Squarespace is definitely the way to go!
David. Your sweet comment was very nice I hope. I make you. Smile every day too 😁
Thank you, Tacy!
