Hey Stef I'm wondering if the clam she'll isn't another end to a hat pin I think I remember my great Grandmother having one quite like it . Hope this helps .gr8 vid BTW and I gotta say it's awesome to see u bouncing back !
You finish but still find 3 cool finds on the way out !😆 You did very well and your digging buddy brings lunch ! Nic is a kind companion on your adventures😉🇨🇦
I was saying to myself that Stef is the most knowledgable detectorist I watch, then the Hohner harmonica plate comes up. I guess it depends on where you are and what you dig. Where I am, the 1890's harmonica plate is common. We have no coppers, no shoe buckles, no tombac buttons, no pewter anything. I guess I don't have to know as much out West!
I can top that: I was once perplexed over a metal ice cube tray insert from the 1970s… and there’s video evidence of this if you dig back far enough. 🤣
@@christiankadlik9079 thank you! A lot of people are calling it part of a hat pin, but based on the construction, I don’t think that’s correct. Hope I can figure it out!
I would normally choose a Colonial site over a Victorian one (like I get that choice a lot!) but this video makes me rethink that. What a fun hunt! You both found so many interesting things and such a wide variety of items. I love finding older stuff that I can't identify and have to research. Even the part of the wood stove was fun! Thanks for an awesome video Stef! ❤
Good going Stef. Similar stuff to what I find. Got to love Victorian fancy work. Gee they could do it well. The under brush looked thick. Great hunt. Take care mate 🦘🦘😁👍
Great finds. I actually found that same pitch pipe recently. Most were smaller with not as many reeds. Sometimes a lot of V nickels in an area can be tied to some of the original nickelodeons from the early 1900s. I have several from one old schoolhouse that may have shown some of the early movies. Thanks again for sharing!!!
Thanks Nathan! Been a little slow out here for me, too. I’ve always got a backlog of a month or more, so that was filmed back in September. October was decent, but it involved a LOT of scouting and skunkings. 😆
Hey Stef... that was a fun vid. Finds are more in line with what I have the potential to find in my (decidedly not colonial) area! :-) I absolutely love that little 9" coil on my Manticore too! 🙂
Amazing hunt! Definitely that piece marked 1881 is a Hohner harmonica plate. I found some pieces in the same hole as two reed plates in Iowa. Loved the video, watched it with my kids and they did as well 👍
Thank you! I can’t believe I was remotely stumped, but I think viewers are thoroughly enjoying seeing me out of my element, and I love that! So many people have contributed to IDs - it’s awesome!
I'm thinking that shell might be the remnants of a hat pin also! Great finds anyway you look at it! Keep on digging, and I'll catch you on the next. ✌️ 😊
Loved the video Stef. I believe that the shell that you found was part of a necklace. Nice finds. Keep going in the direction you are going. Spontaneous has its merits.
Nice finds need more I find things from the late 1700s to 1960s relics last week I dug the best looking 1812 artillery button with a dragon on a cannon with a few cannon balls on the bottom the back was just as nice
That’s awesome! My best button this year so far has been an 1830s silvered infantry officer’s eagle button with about 90% of the silver intact. It’ll probably make the top 5 for me this year!
Of course I enjoyed it. I watch European channels that dig for WWII relics. In my neck of the woods, if you find something older than 1950 you have done something. (Excluding native) And you dug some real curiosities, the open shell has me thinking. By all means, dig what and where you want. I will be watching!
I live on cape cod and dig cellar holes. Not big on beach hunting. Friend and I dug a Victorian cellar which I've never done.. and of all places I dug an hammered 8 merivedes! U just never know
Hah, no kidding! I guess even the Victorians were weirdos like us and kept a bunch of antiques around! 😆 I feel that’s why the occasion Roman coin turns up in the US, too - collectors from generations ago. 😊
Hi Stef & Nic, great hunt, glad you packed a lunch Nic😀. The small shell item could be from the end of a teaspoon, I have a teaspoon that has a small seashell on the handle end. However, my wifey said it may also be a clasp from a little purse. Well that’s what we were chatting about while watching you gals dig holes. Nice oven door too, I like relics❤Brun&Jay
That’s still the best guess on the internet, I swear! I just couldn’t find an example so I said “well, we’ll still call it a mystery find and see what pops up.” I did find a fancy glass canister with metal scallop shell accents online, could’ve been something like that. 🤷🏼
How is it going Stef. The Coins and Relics you and Nick found are the oldest Coins and Relics I find in Nevada. Man what a sight you were at. The Hair Pin you found is one of the most Beautiful ones I've seen. I've found a few here nothing like yours. The Clam piece I believe, is also a Hat Pin. I found a cool looking one one time broken in the same spot yours is. Love the Religious Medallion. The Suspender Piece were you able to find a Pat Date. Sometimes there on the tiny bar behind the main piece. Real pain to read. The Harmonica Piece Congrats. It's rare to find the piece you found in that good of shape. I've found alot of those here. Mostly broken into a few pieces. Congrats on the IHPs and V Nickle. The oldest things I find here are the Victorian Era. Love all your finds Stef. Nick Love tge Thimble and V Nickle. The Stove Door is an awesome find also. Take Care Stef hope things are slowing down a little bit. Crazie Digging. I almost forgot Love the Blue Bennington Marble you found. One of my favorites to accidentally come across. Gotta love them Bonus finds.
That’s a good thought about the clam piece! Little heavy, though - I still feel like it’s a broken knob off of something, but who knows. 😆 Was a great day!
That’s a great question! Doc’s Detecting (just Google them) might have exactly what you’re looking for. I don’t know if they’ve got it for the Manticore yet, but for the Equinox, they made heavy duty padding for arm cuffs. They make a GREAT product from all accounts I’ve heard!

Thanks Elisabeth! Victorian sites are almost always fruitful, even if they aren’t terribly old - and the variety blows my mind every time!
Very cool finds Stef. That sea shell piece was an awesome find.
Thank you! Definitely my favorite of the day.
Good to have you back, pretty interesting site.
Thank you! It really is a bizarre spot - it was a bustling place back in the day, but not for long!
Loved the video!! Very nice mix of finds Stef.
Thanks Mike! Paid to stray away from the norm this time!
@@StefDigs It was actually nice and interesting seeing what you might get next. Could have watched this for hours.
Thanks Stef, great finds for both you and Nikola, thanks for sharing.
Thank you!
Yay!! A new video!! Great hunt and awesome location 😊😊
Thank you! We had a blast!
You two did very well, V's & Indians and more, right to the end. Nice vid my friend.
Thank you! That site has been very good to us - went back yesterday and managed another great video for down the pipeline! 😊
Hey Stef. What a great hunt you both had and I really liked those cool relics especially the clamshell pendant piece.
Thank you! That was definitely my favorite find!
Good going Stef. Similar stuff to what I find. Got to love Victorian fancy work. Gee they could do it well. The under brush looked thick. Great hunt. Take care mate

@@TheCoffeeBushKid thanks Andrew! It really was thick in there, but we got it done! 😄
Maybe the clam shell item is the top of a hat pin and probably had a pearl in the opening. Hi Stef! Another fun video!
Thank you! That would be pretty cool - would’ve been a teeny tiny pearl, lol!
AMAZING cool items!! What an adventure!
Thanks Ally!
I always love the relics!
Me too!

Never thought about nickelodeons - I imagine that’s absolutely true!
Great Hunt Stef, and Nicki. No talkable finds here lately but great weather too search in, Indiana Nathan.
Thanks Nathan! Been a little slow out here for me, too. I’ve always got a backlog of a month or more, so that was filmed back in September. October was decent, but it involved a LOT of scouting and skunkings. 😆
Very cool that you found a St. Anthony metal. Patron saint of lost items. Perfect for a detectorist.😄
Haha, I didn’t even think of that, I love it even more now!
Nice video tons of fancy I like the scallop piece at the end very cool
Thank you!
Hey Stef... that was a fun vid. Finds are more in line with what I have the potential to find in my (decidedly not colonial) area! :-) I absolutely love that little 9" coil on my Manticore too! 🙂

Nikki's twisted metal thing looks like an old keyed spam lid scrap?
I was thinking some type of wire wrap for…? I honestly don’t know. 😆
Hi Steff, hello Nikki, wishing you girls get something fantastic today.Great hat pin. That shell might hav pearl inside.
Thank you! Haha, I wish I was that lucky!
Nice! I love a Victorian permission. The Victorians just had so much STUFF that you just never know what to expect!
Very true!
@@StefDigs I mean, I have a silver victorian tomato server that I use all the time.
Awesome history great finds

Love the Victorian finds. My fave. Diversity is never a bad thing. If you're enjoying it... do it.😊
Thank you! 😊
Awesome finds.
Thank you!
The twisted item Nikola found looks like the spring from a set of Felco hand pruners.
Thank you! I knew it was something unexciting, but I couldn’t put my finger on it! 😆
Nice Diggs Stef, hope all is good, -Ray
Thanks Ray! Hope all is well with you, too! 😊
looks like yall had a good day! love the V nickles
Thank you! Was so fun!
Nice finds.
Thank you!
This was a fun hunt. Is there anything inside the shell? I was hoping for a ball to jingle.
Thank you! Nope, it’s just solid lead with nothing inside. Weird little piece!
Of course I enjoyed it. I watch European channels that dig for WWII relics. In my neck of the woods, if you find something older than 1950 you have done something. (Excluding native) And you dug some real curiosities, the open shell has me thinking. By all means, dig what and where you want. I will be watching!
Thank you! I don’t usually target Victorian sites, but when I just want to get out and dig some holes, they’re a great bet! Almost always fruitful!
WOW!! Bet you're so glad those Victorians were so careless with their Stuff!
Indeed! It’s amazing how much they lost!
I think a possibility for the shell might be a broken perfume bottle stopper. Is there a break at the base?
Yes there is a break at the base - seems awfully heavy for that, but it could be.
Super digs sis! HH
Thanks lady! 😊

Oh no! Hope things are turning around for you - glad I could give you a video fix!
Yaaaay!
Yippie! 😁
maybe in the future you want to join me on a few old farms and foundations in the Berkshire's Mountains.
Perhaps one day! I don’t make too many trips - at least I haven’t this year. Been tough to get too far from home with everything going on!
Ok ok…. The Clamshell I think is a decorative place card, or menu holder. Broken off its base.
That’s still the best guess on the internet, I swear! I just couldn’t find an example so I said “well, we’ll still call it a mystery find and see what pops up.” I did find a fancy glass canister with metal scallop shell accents online, could’ve been something like that. 🤷🏼
@ all the ones I saw were silver. But sure looks the same
@ it makes sense - and this would be around the same weight as silver!
The sea she'll looks like a broken pendant
I thought so, but it seems more industrial in nature, being that it’s lead. Still unsure!
👍👍
Thank you!
