The easiest method to install a printer is via a hardware-software-router print-server. The problem is with multi-function printer with scanning feature. Linux users will understand in-sane. Some routers have built-in print-server feature via the USB, some standalone print-servers can do both printing and scanning (printing alone is not worth the money). TV-box have both USB and Network RJ45, ... ... and maybe wifi. Connect to network-device is easy and quick. Connect to printer is bad. I don't install printer. I install - print-server to printer.
Only needed when You get married and can't live Your life together with Your printer and Your computer anymore so they have to be put away in the corner of the house... then You need to add wifi to your printer.
