A really stunning painting using only two colors along with very informative slides. Very nice effort. Thanks a lot.
Thank you for watching and for your kind words!
A most beutiful painting and such a calming way to follow your process. Thank you very much.

Absolutely beautiful! i love it so much! Thanks for sharing❤❤❤
Thank you for watching ❤️❤️❤️
It's obvious you put alot of time and thought into making these videos and it is greatly appreciated...informative, inspiring and beautiful, thank you🙏🏼
This is very kind of you, thank you! There is a lot of time and effort in making these demonstrations, and it makes me very happy to know that you enjoy them. Thank you for watching, and I hope you have a lovely weekend!
👏🎶📽️🖋️📖🖌️🎨 ...GENIAL...!!!
Thank you so much 😊
Your landscapes always inspire me to paint, thank you.
Your words make me very happy - thank you!!
A very pleasant surprise to see that you uploaded on Saturday! As always, a beautiful scene that you have created!
I won't name the artist, but I watched a video of another landscape artist creating a peaceful scene. Like you, there is no spoken narrative. However, unlike you, there was no written narrative explaining the creative thought process. It is so very helpful not only that you identify the colours that you add to a scene, but why you are adding them and what the benefit of doing so. Their video left me wondering, while your videos leave me with some creative knowledge to grow from. Thank you, as always!
Thank you for watching, and I really appreciate your kind feedback! So happy to know that the format I present my videos in works. A lot of what is happening when we paint is self-explanatory, but if course not all. I do believe, too, that written notes are helpful, and you can pause the video to read them, and I also do not want to oversaturate my videos with lots of detailed information.
I hope you have a great weekend. Happy painting!
Hello, I’ve watched several of your videos and I love your paintings, the format of writing out your words, and very relaxing music. I’m learnings lots! I was wondering if you could add to the written notes on the screen the approximate ratio of water to watercolor paint as you go along…such 80%:20%, or 50:50, or 90:10. I found this helpful in an online class. I’m still a beginner of just one year. I appreciate all of the time and effort you already put into these demonstrations. I’m mostly housebound so RUclips means a lot to me. We just celebrated Thanksgiving Weekend here in the US, but I hope you and yours are having a safe and peaceful time leading up to Christmas. Thank you again. God bless.xo
@@janicerobinson5286 so wonderful to know you are enjoying my videos, and that you find them helpful on your watercolour journey! It truly means a lot ❤️ As for your water/paint question, I am afraid I am not familiar with this way of explaining the ratio. I don’t even register the ratio in my process to be honest - I just dunk my brush into the water, and then tap it on the edge of the jar to get rid of the excess, and then dip my brush into the palette well to pick up the paint. If I need a thicker mixture, I tap it more to get rid of more water, if I need a thin and light wash I sometimes don’t even do it. All watercolour paints are different too, some can only make a small range of tonal values, and some can get to almost black (like Perylene Green or Payne’s Grey) so I need a lot of water to make a light wash. I think that getting to know each individual pigment on your palette and what it can do and how much water it needs to do it is the key to the water/paint ratio. I hope this helps a bit. Thank you or watching, and I am wishing you a lovely and peaceful weeks leading up to Christmas too. Happy painting!
@@AnastasiaMily yes, that does help and I appreciate your time to explain this. I’m glad to take advice from professional artists, like yourself. It helps the learning journey which is delightful…and I guess practice makes better. 😊 Fortunately I was told to buy high quality paint so I mainly buy Daniel Smith, and buy good quality paper for practice and 100% cotton for paintings… I see you do the same with your supplies. (I bought some lower quality paper, by mistake, …yuck…it looked tire tracks ran across it.😀) I look forward to more of your videos and practice. Thank you again. Have a great day on purpose! ❤️
@@janicerobinson5286It is wonderful that you have good-quality paper and professional paints to play with - they truly make all the difference. I find that the quality of the paints first, and the paper second are really important because it is so much easier to paint in watercolour when using professional quality materials... Daniel Smith paints are my favourite! Thank you again for watching my videos ☺
What a wonderful, peaceful way to start my Saturday. Especially here in Florida where it is still hotter than I like. Don’t you just love those Windsor&Newton paints! Watercolor is my hobby so I use the budget friendly Cotman line, but they are perfect for landscapes. Thanks for the detailed note style narrative. Blessings to you from a new subscriber!
Thank you for being here and for watching my videos! I love Cotman paints, I used them a lot early on my watercolor journey.
I hope the weather cools down for you soon. Here in Australia we are just entering spring and it has been unseasonably hot in the last few days, over 30C (pushing 90F) - way too early for this kind of weather.
At least we can paint snow-capped mountains and imagine we are surrounded by snow!
So beautiful and peaceful. Thank you for sharing your talent. I learned a lot from you.❤
Thank you for watching and for your kind words! I am so glad you are learning from my videos. I hope you have a lovely weekend!

I always enjoy watching you paint but equally the music you add. I went on to Spotify and found some beautiful songs to paint along with. Thank you for all that you share with us ❤
Thank you so much Julie! I agree, music enriches the painting experience in so many ways. I love painting to music too. Enjoy!
Your amazing watercolor work reflects your delightfully creative soul! Magical beauty!
With a smile, Mr.Hi! :)
Thank you so much 🙏🏻
This stunning !...I love the fact that you only used two colors.
Thank you so much! These two colours work so well together, it is one of my favourite combinations.
Anastasia, thank you for the limited palette video!😍
Thank you so much for watching Joyce! Have a lovely weekend!
Stunning!❤
Thank you so much!
So so beautiful Anastasia!!. Your mountains are impeccable!!!, I absolutely love this painting. The minimal size trees slow the mountains to appear even larger. Thank you 🙏🏼 ❤
Thank you for your kind words! So glad you love my mountains as it is one of my favourite subjects to paint...
gorgeous, love the two shades you've chosen 😍❤
Thank you so much 😊
Your work is a super training masterpiece. I wish you would also add your on-screen information as a text attachment to each video so new learners like me could use them as a reference. Your work is an art school of its own. Thank you
Thank you for watching and for your kind words. So glad to know you are learning from my videos!
