I sometimes try to follow a tbr but I'm an intense mood reader😅 I don't have many books and I usually get my books either for my birthday or by giftcards. I love love love your bookshelf and hope you have a great day❤
I definitely fall into being more of a mood reader too, which is why generally I try to buy books as I want to read them. But I still manage to accumulate quite a few that remain unread. Mostly my charity shop/second hand book finds to be honest!

I really went off tea when I was pregnant for the same reason,it was gutting because previously I loved it - the liking never came back and I now hardly drink it (18 years later) despite trying to get back to it. I am now a coffee fiend
Oh no! 😭 at least you still have coffee ☕️ Unfortunately I haven’t been able to drink coffee either, so I’m hoping my taste for at least one of them comes back!
I keep my unread books separated from my liibrary in a trolley. I can not imagine mixing them with the rest 😂
That’s a very sensible idea 😂 it does get a bit chaotic when they’re all mixed together 😅

I have a huge tbr list on Goodreads, Story graph and I also have tbr list in a journal which is lists of recommendations from people I watch on RUclips,(like you) and that I note down from a local book stores news.
I can’t even remember how long I’ve been marking books as “want to read” on goodreads 😂 the list must be very long by now haha
I need to go through my shelves again and be RUTHLESS this time haha somehow they just multiply so fast!

I’m definitely a mood reader! I love the idea of a TBR jar, but it’s hard for me to read a book when I’m “supposed to.”
Also, you’re using my favorite kind of pen! Are we the same person!? 😂
I know right, how do they all just accumulate? 😂
I’m definitely not going to be super strict on the TBR jar - if I’m really not in the mood for one, I’ll just pick another. It’s just so that I’m a bit more intentional with getting around to books I really want to read!

I am trying to read through books I bought years ago (that are not classics). I tend to mood read them but the past 2 years since I've gotten them down to around 80 books, I used challenges like Chantel Reads All Day "Read Your Bookshelf Challenge" where she uses prompts that build off of the previous book you read. It's been fun. There are some I have just donated without reading because I found there was content I couldn't skip over and/or didn't want to read.
That sounds like a fun challenge!
I’m such a mood reader too, so I feel like it’s nice to have a stack of books to read so that there’s always one that I’ll probably be in the mood for 😂
