It’s me and my tree 😊 Thank you Peter had a wonderful day at the nursery. Was made to feel very welcome. So many beautiful trees ! A must visit for all bonsai lovers.
😍 my lovely husband and his equally handsome tree! Thank you so much Mr Chan! You made his day meeting you and again posting the video! ❤ our daughter watched and made sure his bonsai collection is looking good and healthy! She approves! Thank you again!
I love it when Peter interaction with the people visiting the nursery....🙏 Great video 🙏....... I would love to visit one day , but I live in Scotland so it is a bit too far..
How many thousands of trees has Master Chan potted? He still asks the customer "are you happy with it?" Peter Chan epitomizes grace, humility and supreme artistry! Thank you for sharing!
Once you showed the round scalloped pot and it’s colorings I knew that was the pot for that tree. Happy you mentioned soil composition- and it doesn’t necessarily have to be any particular blend. Especially if the tree is growing and vigorous. Thank you Mr. Chan.
I think part of the reason to go into smaller pots is also stunting the roots for smaller growth and smaller ramification. Usually done in the refinement stage.I usually go into slighlty bigger pots for most of my trees for the health of my trees.
My bonsai pot has been repaired 3 times after strong wind knocked it down from the wall it sits on. I always planned on getting a new one but never got around to it. This video has rekindled that desire.
It’s really interesting, so many beautiful pots but only possibly one or two that are perfect. Reminds me of choosing something for a very special occasion, and invariably there is only one that is perfect. Thank you.
A lovely informative video as always, thank you :) I saw in the background of one of your videos once that you have a few citrus bonsai in your nursery too, but I couldn't find a full video featuring one of them! Do you think you could ever make a video showing us some of the special needs of those? There's sadly so little information out in the internet about citrus bonsai!
In this video entitled "Indoor Bonsai All You Need to Know," there is some information on citrus trees, although they are not featured. ruclips.net/video/fDxtzNixs1Q/видео.html
Remember, in Japan, they could stuff this big tree into this tiny pot and find it perfect. Here I stand with resin half barrels for my trees, way too large to be considered bonsai.
_THANK YOU _ 🙏😔🙏 Dr. Chan, I think your short videos are the best. All of your videos are very educational. A very good point in this video is, the pot and plant have to be side by side to determine size. When you they are separate, one or the other seems to change size. 😮 Plus, colors are very suttle and are harder to remember than size. Plants like to visit. 😊
Does anyone produce salt-glazed bonsai pots? The variation of colour and texture makes every one unique. There's a firm at Hexham in northern England whose pots intended for alpines work very well with miniature trees. I don't know of anyone else.
whats the country that does the giant bonsai again? veitnam i think. they make the biggest bonsai ive ever seen. beautiful. just need a fork lift to repot and work on them tho lol thanks peter. great info always
I know you do not import bonsai to Texas but I would love to order one of Peter Chans handmade pots . No matter which one . The one you dislike the most. $
So I'm new to bonsai. Just curious,so the pots have drainage holes in the bottom so do they have saucers ? I'm guess you can put them on your best table?

nice looking tree!
Maybe one day.
My Lady said I already have too many trees to transport...We're looking to buy land, so I've gotta focus on that.
Lovely tree and pot choice btw.
@@t3dwards13 I know the feeling haha. Im beginning to run out of space on my property, and I'm only 22 years old. It's an addiction really

As you get older you learn to respect others more. After all, you cant always be right.
His bonsai expertise is unequaled, but on top of that, no one sports a Hawaiian shirt like Mr. Chan! He's got game!
I need to get myself some bonsai pots.

So much potsabilities 😊
A very informative video on choosing bonsai pots. Excellent!
I love that tree, but so many bonsai I see, I love.
The way you deliver the knowledge from your videos is awesome ❤
Beautiful Tree potted by THE MASTER!!!
i like trees with large and very flat pots.... i like it when you have like an extension of grass until the border of the pot...
It's like that scene where Harry is given a wand when he's first choosing, it's similar but still fascinating
I swear Peter has gyroscopes in his hands, the way he handles the pots. Lol
Very interesting. Thanks for the explaination!
nice video from start to finish

Glad to find your channel, thankyou
I prefer the glazed pot for the first tree, even if it was a little too large.
Conifers don't go in glazed pots
@yoteslaya7296 conifers can go into any pot that the tree owner likes.

Quick question Mr. Chan
Where to get them plastic mesh seed trays ? I remember you said ebay but I can’t find that video or on eBay
Does it not need new soil or gravel underneath ?
We only do that when we use large deep pots. Shallow pots dont need this,

Pot talk.
Two hundred bucks or more for a bonsai pot? Yikes. I think I'll stick to Walmart pots.
That's cheap. You pay a lot more for hand made by local artists. Steve.
That bloke didn't stand a chance. Final pot far to big for the tree.
